I am from india and i received the updates on 2nd jan, you can manually check for the update in the setting/about phone.
Today (Jan 8, 2015) I've received the same update ! The Update size is exactly 307.86MB.
I was happy to see a Software update notification as I'm expecting Lollipop Update to my D820, but it is't Lollipop update, it is a update for existing Android KitKat 4.4.4.
Let's hope Lollipop will be our next update

There's no official word from HTC for lollipop update on desire 820.
Hope it will be updated because its run on 64bit and lollipop is for 64bit.
So according to this hope it will definitely update to lollipop.
Otherwise there is no need for 64bit on this device because kitkat is running on 32bit only.

Dont Simply relock the boot loader, then you cant install the update.
Please follow this steps: To bring Back your phone to Factory Settings
1. connect your phone to pc and enable usb debugging.
2. If you installed Recovery like CMW or TWRP, then restore the nandroid backup.
3. Flash the original Stock recovery of HTC desire 820.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4. Finally relock the boot loader using the following command
fastboot oem lock

has anyone successfully rooted and installed custom recovery on htc desire 820 dual-sim (D820u)?
is D820t dual sim? how is it different from D820u? somebody please upload screenshots of Phone Identity and Software Info.
D820u dual china model.
About this procedure:
1. If phone is rooted with custom recovery, its not possible install ota but can it check and find it?
2. While restoring stock recovery, debug usb seting must be enabled, fastboot setting disabled. Then, phone should enter in fastboot mode also, via adb.

Hi,
I recently rooted my desire HD and installed viper 4.0.4 sense 4.1 ... The main reason was to be able to get the latest app from play store ( google keep etc no longer supported on standard HTC software).
Anyway, I recently received a system update and when i try to install it fails with the message illegal_viper.zip. I would like to either install the update or remove the update notification from the top bar and live with what I've got.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks MW
I assume you mean ViperDHD 2.3.0?
OTA is evidently borked & this project is evidently dead. Translation is don't do the update and IMHO do whatever you can to prevent any OTA activity at all since it is dead.

Hi, today I've received an OTA update for my IdeaPad A3000-H (3G+WiFi, 16GB).
Old version: A3000_A422_011_022_140127_WW_CALL_FUSE
New OTA version: A3000_A422_013_025_140624_WW_CALL_FUSE
For now, the only thing I noticed was the different boot animation.
I have attached the image of the updated version (The language is set to Italian).

Hi there,
I received the same update today, but after downloading and rebooting, nothing happened, the update simply not installed!
After some useless retries, I used the CWM to install the archive from the folder sdcard0/googleota/ and it did work, for no clear reasons..
The difference so far I notice is only the boot logo ? but I believe there should be other benefits

Hi, its very strange... but its important that you were able to install it!
However, my device isn't rooted and maybe, in your case, CWM has blocked update... (this happened to me on a rooted smartphone!)
With this OTA update, my A3000 seems more stable, with fewer reboots than before (old version: once a day; new version: once a week!)
Plz link of update

This new update is only OTA!
To get this OTA update, you must have the "old" version, dated 2014-01-27!
Then search new version, from Android settings (see attached image)!

Strange, this is never happened with my Sony Xperia tipo.. Anyway, you are missing a lot with your mobile not being rooted ?
I noticed the battery life got somewhat longer, there still no way to move apps to the sdcard.
And the Android version still the same ???? #I_want_Kitkat (Heh, don't be silly.. The update was just 3.5Mb or so)
I forget to tell you that it you use my method of CWM upgrade and tried to check for other system updates you will be greeted with the same update install screen! Don't panic, Your system has already been updated.
Fix: just remove/rename the Googleota folder and retry update check, You should be refreshed with calming screen that tells you how you already have the latest version..

You're right! On smartphone I have TWRP, not CWM!
However, for now, I'm fine with the stock firmware (In the future I will evaluate to flash an unofficial ROM)
The battery works two days (over 24 hours, tablet is turned off at night) of normal use (wifi on, 3g on, bluetooth on, several phone calls every day, several app with push notifications).
In addition, 16 GB are so many, while having numerous apps installed (more than smartphone).
In the MicroSD card (the other 16 GB) I'll put my music, pictures and videos made with the camera!
I think it's unlikely that we'll see KitKat on A3000... All I want is find a solution to the problem of BT headset that does not detect anything when I use voice commands or voice recorder!!
The stock rom is just too good to be replaced ? the only feature I really miss is CM theme chooser because I don't like the default white on black theme of the settings' screens.. Sigh, you can't have everything, this device is by far the best I ever had.

What firmware version are you running? Visit settings -> about phone -> system updates to view it. There is also a 'check for updates' button here.
Is your ROM untampered? Did you root?
You could manually flash 1.2.4.1 if need be.
I was adding GApps using some Nokia X toolkit but i dont know whether it is rooted or not.
Please let me know how can i know my phone is rooted or not.
Also let me know how can i flash 1.2.4.1 manually.
Thanks,

What version of the firmware you running? (1.2.3.x is as good as 1.2.4.x).
You could try Nokia Care Suite refurbish/recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666410 or if you're on v1.1.2.2, flashing 1.2.4.1 from here with ClockWorkMod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x/general/ota-nokia-x-firmware-1-2-4-1-update-t2832934
1.2.4.1 Update
New software update for Nokia X Dual SIM (RM-980): v. 1.2.4.1/1.2.4.21. This is a global release and available via OTA (Over-The-Air). Find the update instructions from here: nokia.com/global/support/software-update/nokia-x-software-update/
Key changes compared to previous 1.1.2.2 SW version include:
•Enjoy improved ease of use with the new app switcher - switch easily between open apps, or close apps with a single tap.
•Instant access to your mail, calendar, and notes with Outlook.com and OneNote.
•Updated Nokia Store - new design to help you find content more easily, and better integration with third-party stores.
•New scrollable widgets, call reject with a message, contact search in the dialler, automatic uploading to OneDrive, and local calendar support.
•General performance and usability improvements.
i hope it will help you update your Nokia X
I tried the ClockWorkMod but its no use..At verification Stage it is Aborted. Is there any alternate method?
Currently My Phone S/W version is 1.1.2.2 and Model RM 980.
Please suggest me alternate ways.
Thanks,
DVHC

You can try recovery (or refurbish? but tutorials seem to deal with recovery) with Nokia Care Suite, see these threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2668005
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666410
If you struggle with downloading firmware with NCS you could try NaviFirm+ for purpose of getting the images:
http://www.symbian-toys.com/navifirm.aspx
Or try the copy a forum user has made available here:
https://d31f335ecc8fe0a06cdf7e7f5c683782ad225bb0.googledrive.com/host/0B7XqTwBFq0k-U0FldDZoYUVFa2M
Good luck.

Hi folks,
I've got a new desire EYE, and I'm really excited about android development, previusly I've followed the HTC one s forum (but two weeks ago someone stole my beloved device), I'm not a developer, I'm just curious and I want to learn.
This is my first post in this forum and before going on I want to say that I really appreciate all the efforts made by developer, so I want to contribute, in my little.
After flashing this rom and look in the catlog to find out something about the front camera bug I've found that was missing a lib and that the camera button wasn't working... So this is my fix!
- for the camera button: just add
Code:
key 212 CAMERA WAKE
key 211 FOCUS
in /system/usr/keylayout/device-keypad.kl
- the front camera: the catlog say that lib "libhtc_humanprocess.so" was missing in system/lib
push this lib from /data/app/com.htc.camera-1/lib/arm/ and voilà the camera is working!
I would like to post this in the tread, but this is my first post, hope I can help in the future
I would ask if someone could point me some tips about building kernel for this device, i will be very grateful
Sorry for my bad enghlis!

See as I have explain I can't use any of my cameras without short circuiting my battery. So I have my ribbons disconnected , that's why I couldn't fix it myself.... But my question is did you push my camera fixes and then libhtc_humanprocess.so or what... Next rom update already has GPS fixed. Just need to narrow down the camera issue .

Wish i could be a little more savy and assist you. I tried your rom with the camera fix. (that work with back camera but front one freezes) and tried running ADB from my pc and it gave me an "Access denied". when i tried using LOGCAT, it told me it could not write a log.txt file.
Does your rom have read and write permission enabled? what do you suggest?
Thanks!

I've flashed camera camera fix 2 and after that i've pushed the missing lib (i've noticed that it was missing also in the rom zip)
Can I ask one question about s-off?
I remember that I've s-off my one s (about two years ago) because if the phone is still s-on is impossible to flash kernel directly from recovery (and it must be done using fastboot). After flashing your rom my device was stuck in recovery and it want boot after forcing reboot.. I tried to flash charm kernel zip from recovery and the phone boot.. so my question is: I still have to flash kernel by fastboot? just for information
However i'm running insertcoin rom from about five hours and it's incredible fast and smooth! Everything is working aside GPS, but if you said that you alredy have a fix that's a great news!

I am S-Off ... Do you want me to test anything?
Should I wait for version 1.1, or do you want me to flash and test something on version 1.0 ?
@xXminiWHOOPERxX I just tried the fix given by @agnostu on V 1.0, and I can confirm that the front camera now works 100%. Thanks agnostu!
Now the only thing that is broken is the location. Can you provide a quick patch? or should we wait for version 1.1?

Code:
key 212 CAMERA WAKE
key 211 FOCUS
in /system/usr/keylayout/device-keypad.kl
- the front camera: the catlog say that lib "libhtc_humanprocess.so" was missing in system/lib
push this lib from /data/app/com.htc.camera-1/lib/arm/ and voilà the camera is working!
I would like to post this in the tread, but this is my first post, hope I can help in the future
I would ask if someone could point me some tips about building kernel for this device, i will be very grateful
Sorry for my bad enghlis!

now I can use your rom as daily driver
Hi guys,
I'm posting to let you know that today my HTC 10 Taiwanese (stock and unlocked) received the update version 1.96.709.5 (456,99 MB) with the following improvements:
1) Support for VoLTE
2) Support for Wifi calling
3) Google Security Update (September 1)
4) System and Camera enhancements
I though it was Nougat but when I saw the size I realized it's not
Anyway an update is always welcome for me.
Does this update fix the "video flickering issue" in low light?

Hi,
I cannot find menu to enable VoLTE and WiFi calling features after updated to this version.
Did you find this feature on "setting/call/....??
Sent from my HTC_M10h using Tapatalk
Me too! Despite it's indicated in the update there's no "Enhanced call service" in Call settings.
Maybe these options are shown only if you have a compatible SIM card or carrier? It's a guess, I don't know

i am using tw set 64gb, no updates so far...is there something wrong with my fone?
VoTE or WiFi Calling probably only activate if you have a special Taiwan Carrier.
It's not showing up for me either in Switzerland.
Anyone here in Taiwan with working VoLTE or WiFi Calling?
New update 1.98. 709.5
New update today. Still no VoLTE or WiFi calling in calls menu.
yes these feature only appear if you have a Taiwanese carrier. I have a sim card for Chunghwa Telecom and T-mobile. As soon as I insert the T-Mobile sim card, the phone restarts and these settings goes away.
Flash the region specific firmware to get volte, I got a CID_622 (HK specific), if I switch to another other firmware then volte wil gone.
look forward someone able to combine all of them in a custom rom.
Nothing new with fm radio function actually activated?
When can we expect a taiwanee version to taste nougat 7.0 anybody?
