hello all,
I have just bought Moto 360. I have latest android phone. just bought Facer.
my watch could connect to android wear and motoconnect. once I installed Facer/watchmaker I could see their logos in my watch, But the problem is when I tries to sync my watch screen becomes blank, I could see the green Tick mark on the app, that means the app has successfully sync the watch face. but my moto 360 shows nothing, just a blank screen.
please help..
Thanks
I get this sometimes too. Try switching back to a default watchface then switching back to Facer (for Android 5).

+1 Make sure you are using the watchface for your version of android wear and give it a minute or so to fully sync. The green checkmark just means the face has been sent to the device, not that the device is done applying it. :good:

You should have 2 icons on your watch: one called "Facer" and the other called "Facer for Android Wear 5". Make sure that your Facer app on the phone is on the latest version (version 1.1.02).
And your Moto 360 software should be on the latest version. Go to your watch Settings -> About and ensure the software version is 5.0.1. If not, scroll down to the bottom of the same screen and choose "System Updates".
You don't need your phone Android version to be 5. Mine is also on 4.4.4.

finally , it was a watch. I got the replacement and now everything is back to normal. The only problem I have noticed is some of the watches are not syncing... I could import those faces to the faces app, I can send those to my watch..but my phone vibrates but I cant get the face...just a blank (Black ) screen.
my phone / app and watch all r up-to date with the latest software. I could also see 2 facer logos, one is jut "Facer" and other is "Facer for 5"
I have tried both but no luck for those few faces.
Any idea? thanks

As per my 1st reply, after syncing and you still see a black screen, try switching back to a default watchface then switching back to Facer (for Android 5). If not, it might be an issue with the watchface itself.

Nice update
The update work for anyone? I got it but have been unable to set any of the new faces to the watch. They don't show up. Maybe something screwy with my oneplus....

I have it and it is working. You may need to give it a few minutes for the new faces to be transferred to the watch. They appear just like the original stock faces.
It is nice to have the award winning Moto but it is a shame they didn't add any of the additional features such as weather or battery percentage. I think the clone of the face that boostr29 did for facer is still nicer. The Motorola face likely uses much less battery power though. Wear 2.0 should let people create much more involved faces that can display more information such as unread email etc.
If you havn't got the update yet or want to see what they are like, I took a photo of all the new watch faces:

Pascuals a favourite, I'm sure the My Design will be better in time... It won't be good for anything beyond casual usage though - you need to crop the image for it yourself, and the ticker hands you can't customize outside of the preset options they have.
Yeah, the My Design is quite limited for now, and you can't set large preview cards on it. But at least there's now the option/toggle to add the date to all of the other watchfaces too, which is handy.
Generally this is a bit of an odd update, as it just adds Moto Body features that replicate existing Fit ones, except for Calories. Now we have again the typical Android mess of duplicated features, despite Google's efforts to control Wear.
I dont understand how anyone can use a white face. That flat tire looks terrible. I always run a black face, so its not too noticable.

Try to restart the watch. It worked after I did a restart.
Same issue here. I've restarted the watch, reset the watch, uninstalled and reinstalled both Android Wear and the Connect app. None of the new apps or watch faces will show up on the watch.
I just wish the date option was a bigger font. My old eyes have a hard time seeing it.

The app is a ton of fun, hopefully they continue to expand it. I have several pictures that work great with the DIY watch face.
Yeah I'm loving this, the custom pictures are nice and hi resolution!
Thx for sharing. Had moto connect app disabled.
How are u guys getting the update? I don't see it on playstore?

Nvm. Odd. I had to search for the app and then it said update. Would not show up automatically.
My phone wouldn't find Connect update (kept telling me Connect was up to date)
On my PC, I visited -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.targetnotif while it said installed, when I clicked the Install button I was able to pick my Moto X, and click OK.. After that, the X notified me of the app downloading and installing. I now have the update.
Seems like the best faces are the one's that create the illusion of a round face by having some sort of inner circle that is not disrupted by the flat tire look. Basically you tune it out since all the major eye candy is above it, only the tiny hash marks are broken which you barely notice anyway. Having a full white face or roman numerals makes it very obvious there is a screen break at the bottom.

I wound up having to reset the Moto X altogether. Somehow, I think swapping between a work-week phone (Note 4) and a weekend phone (Moto X) got some apps stuck on the watch that weren't on either phone anymore. When I reset the Moto X and then reset the 360, it stared to work correctly.
Too bad beelink dont work anymore else can easily switch devices with the watch.

For those lucky enough to have their watch. How many watch faces are there pre loaded?
There are 18 watch faces pre loaded on the watch.
Watch Faces
although, will there be many more like i've seen on XDA for the MOTO360?
Ok got my ZW yesterday. I have to say, I love the build and the design...what's disappointing is that I can't use any of the third party apps to build a watch face. I've tried two diff apps and nothing will push the design to the watch. It appears that the ZW manager is preventing any third party designs to come thru. IF THIS IS TRUE, and Asus doesn't open up the design api this would be a deal breaker for me. I know this is a small thing, but its to restrictive considering that ALL of the other AW watches support third party apps. UGH!

No, only use the facer app... facerepo.com has a bunch of user made faces that are decent. Some aren't designed for the ZW though, so they won't look right. Trial and error. When downloading, download directly to the facer app. Should pop up giving you that option when you press download. What were the apps you were using that didn't work?

I've only had the watch for two days now so it's hard to tell. Honestly, although I've downloaded and tested other watch face apps, I'm using the "explorer" face that comes with the zenwatch stock app. I have it always on, with steps and battery for both watch and phone showing. Lowest intensity on the screen is more than bright enough.
First day was a 16 hour day and I put it back on the charger with about 30% left. Yesterday was 14 or 15 hours with about the same left. I get tons of notifications and yesterday used the notifications while using navigation (that works well).
All I care about is getting through the day on a charge and it's doing that nicely, so I'm happy.
The nice thing about the included watch faces is that they were all built with the included first-party watchface API, unlike the ones in the Moto 360. So the cards behave nicely mostly hidden and transparent at the bottom, rather than taking up half the screen.

The Facer faces have worked for me with no change to the way notifications are handled. I use the square face watch faces that were designed for the LG G Watch with a few modifications the the ratios for the screen size diff.
Intellicom WatchMaker works sort-of. If you have rooted/modified your phone, apparently you cannot update to v5.01 on the watch, which is required (5.0 anyway) for the latest version to work. Their version 1.11 works with 4.4W2, but of course, some of the new features are not present.

I don't think that's the case. My watch updated to 5.0.1 automatically, and my phone is rooted and otherwise messed with.

Change the res to 320 x 320. If things are supposed to be center on the horizontal axis then put 160 for x, if center on vertical axis then 160 for y. Sometimes the size of the element needs to be changed as well, I usually set them two to three sizes up. Just play around with it and after making changes look at the face in the app and see if it aligns properly and such.

Hey guys,
I had Facer running great and all of a sudden today when I look at my watch, all I see is a black face. When I long press on the screen, it brings up all the default Moto 360 watchfaces but not Facer.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Facer as well as resyncing all apps from the Moto 360 app with no joy.
Anyone experiencing the same? Any hints on how to fix it?
Facer updated app to Android Wear 5.0
So I just took a look and as I had suspected, Facer recently updated via Google Play. The release notes state that Facer only works on Android Wear 5.0 ... WTF?
I see that I am on 4.4 with no option to upgrade. Any suggestions?
Downgrade facer or wait for 5.0 . They jumped the gun and pushed publish button too soon which sucks.
It's android WEAR 5.0, on your watch not on your phone...
We will get the update to your watch starting tonight

Anyone have the Facer version before this one, the apk for it anyway.
Edit: Screw it, had some Play Store credit and bought Watchmaker.
Just got another update, and Facer is working again. (still didn't get the Android Wear update, just facer)
EDIT: Nevermind... I just got a "Facer has stopped working" message on the 360, and my watch face is blank. Rebooted 360, and it does the same after a few minutes. Will go back to a stock face until my 360 gets updated.
it should be back up.. there was an update today that only supported android wear 5.0.. i installed it and facer disappeared.. later in the day another update appeared.. this fixed it...
just try to change the watch face to something else and back to your current one..
I have a Xperia XZ Premium, and also of course a Smartwatch 3 which work fine.
About a week ago my wife wanted to upgrade from her Xperia Z5 and so I bought her a Xperia XZ Premium to match mine. and all was fine until we came to try and alter the Classic Face !
As has been mentioned on here the "steps" no longer work, so all we did was change the three widgets, so we had 'battery level', 'date' and 'week number' and my wife wanted to do the same on her nice new phone
But she CAN'T.... for a start there is no little 'cog; in the middle of the watch face so I changed to another face and clicked on the 3 dots on the Classic Face, where the option to get the "settings" was there but when you click on this it tried to connect with Google Play to download the settings from somewhere but fails so obviously the app for that is missing !
So - no steps... and now you can't adjust/change anything like the widgets I have just mentioned, colours or anything else.... why, just why ?????
My still works OK, and I have removed and reinstalled Wear OS a few times on her phone but no joy
So whose fault is this ? Google messing with the OS ? or Sony not updating the watch face ? … or me for not being clever enough to work this out ?
Help please !
As my wife is driving me mad.. all she wants is the watch face she loves to be as she wants it … i.e. like mine !
Transfer app from you phone to hers

It looks like the underlying app required to change to setting on the Smartwatch 3 has been removed from the Playstore. I've just upgraded my Xperia and spent ages trying to find it. Eventually, I resorted to using an app that lets me transfer apps from my old phone to my new one. I used SwitchIt, it's quick and easy, and I transferred 2 apps - SmartWatch and Watch Faces (not sure this one is required but the SmartWatch app is). Everything works fine now and I can configure the widgets no probs.
Many Thanks !

Thanks for your reply, as they say better late than never
Seems like it was Sony's fault for removing the Smartwatch 3 App from the store !
We both LOVE our Smartwatch 3, and can't see any reason to 'upgrade' them as they foo everything we want...
Would be nice IF the brought out a Smartwatch 4, as we would certainly buy one !
I won't hold my breath though as they ditched laptops, then tablets and no sign of those coming back either, but my 3 'old' Sony laptops are all running fine on Windows 10 and my 4 Sony tablets are fine too despite no Android upgrades

I can share the "Watch Faces for Smartwatch 3_v2.0.A.0.20.apk" if you still need it...
Hello together,
I've updated the new lest MI fit app (4.0.8) and updated also the firmware of my MI band 4 (1.0.6.12).
Now I can't change my watchfaces which I downloaded in the app "MiBand4 - Watchfaces"
Before the update everything worked fine..
Does anyone has a solution?
Backup your watch faces, uninstall Mi Fit, install 4.0.7 version, do not update it If you want animated watch faces, you probably need to downgrade FW as well (N&F app might help here).
More detailed guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/miband/comments/d0fxw6/mi_band_4_no_more_custom_watchfaces/
Or you can just use N&F for watch face upload and wait for Mi Fit fix (which hopefully won't take too long)..
Thank you
Actually there is no need for FW downgrade, watch faces/FW still support animations, animation speed just has to be at least "4" (at least with the watch face I tried to modify). Authors of broken watch faces will probably fix them sooner or later.
Please see the solution - https://www.reddit.com/r/miband/com...ifit/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
