Have you already added the four extra links that came in the box? Dig through it, because people say they are hidden pretty well in there.

Yes and i used but i still need one or two more

I contact motorola and they say if you need a few links buy another metal strap for 79.99

Here you go: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/102660/p/2815,9141. There's a number to call to request extra links.

I call but the told me buy an extra metal band

I've found that when it comes to minor assistance, Motorola is completely not customer friendly.
They won't sell just the band adapter and they won't sell you just the links.

I know this thread is a little old... I just got my first gen moto 360 with the metal band. Even with the extra links I need like 2 more. I literally just called and they just asked for an address and said they will FedEx me another set.

Qi charging not working on the T-Mo G3

Just what it says on the tin there. I have a Qi charger that I used with my Nexus 5 no problem, but it's not registering the G3. Is it temperamental with which ones it accepts, is there a setting I need, or what?
Not sure about the T-Mobile model, but I am pretty sure you need to buy a separate back cover that supports wireless charging. I have the AT&T version, which not only requires a $40 back cover, but also a PWA charger, as it doesn't support QI standard. Stinking greedy US carriers!
Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
Oh I see. So it SUPPORTS Qi charging, but it doesn't have it right out of the box. Okay, little dishonest on their part, but I'll go with it.

There is a $10 option available for a QI/NFC sticker that should work for all but AT&T.

This has not been tested yet, but I have 2 on order for my sprint version.

They aren't being dishonest. The US LG site says Qi charging is optional and T-Mobile doesn't list it as a spec. After the global version had it, a lot of American websites came out saying it had it and didn't mention it was the International version which isn't really their fault either. Carriers making a deal to not allow wireless charging out of box on their phones isn't ethical business practice though, but LG isn't at fault there either.
Anyonr have which backs and chargers they r using I dont want to buy wrong one
Do the backs that support charging add much thickness to the phone? Are they high quality material?
F400 G3 OEM BACK DOES NOT WORK on US Models
I ordered the F400 on eBay. Mistake. It does not work with the US variant. They moved all 4 of the pins needed for NFC and charge and added a gap as some have pointed out already. But just explicitly letting you know the F400 back won't work with T-Mobile version. The $10 sticker on Ali Express seems like the way to go. Here is the link: http://goo.gl/3GlBju Type 1 is most common for US variants like the T-Mobile D851.

They are the exact same thickness as the stock battery cover. So zero added bulk and the feel is identical to the stock one.

Any word on when official metal bands release?

Leather band is not so great for using in the gym. Any way to treat it in the meantime?
From what I've read in the recent past Motorola will release the metal band in Nov sometime... At least that's when Verizon is shipping them out. You can use most 22mm bands there's a thread with a lot of info.

Actually you CAN'T use most 22mm metal bands. Theres a short list of metal bands that won't damage your watch and you will most likely have to grind down the plastic tabs on the body of the watch.

Actually starting from yesterday you can do a pledge at Kickstarter and 'book' a Steelconnect adapter that does exactly the job.
If things go well like with the Pebble adapter you might get it by February 2015.

By then the official metal band would be available for a few months already.
Sure, but you are missing the fact Motorola is not going to release the cool looking band we have seen at beginning.
It is now like a bad looking version of the Pebble Steel band.
I think it was posted also here in forums.

I would put money on Motorola never actually releasing a metal strap at all. Wait and see, I guess.

They've already been shown to be sold by Verizon in November. I would assume their metal bands will be made available around the same time.

And Verizon clearly jumped the gun, because they've since pulled the links. Like I said, let's wait and see. I won't say I told you so if you don't.
Hopefully this is a sign we are closer to a release date

Cool, I am waiting for my Moto 360 to arrive as well, ordered it together with the Pebble Steel band. Only thing that will be constantly at the back of mind is the cracking issue.

watched a youtube video on installing and adjusting the links. took me about 5 minutes with zero experience.
It's a nice mod, should be getting the official band this week.

Will you be doing another video with the official bands? I am still considering getting the Official Bands, $80 is quite steep for me.

No replacement charging dock is available

I've had the watch for a couple of weeks and I like it. I changed the provided leather band as I didn't like the clasp that folded the band over itself and with the clasp it really thickened the band. I installed a Spidel expansion band which is great (for me).
The charge time is fairly short. Gets to below 10% in around 14 hours.
My concern is that there is currently no replacement charging dock/cradle available. If I travel & inadvertently leave the dock at the hotel or I lose it somewhere I'm SOL. I contacted their customer "tech" support and was advised that they don't have a replacement. They advised me to contact their web estore and provided a link. The estore told be to call someone. No. enough is enough. Great support [not]! I've search everywhere and no supplier, so far, has made a dock.

I'd love a spare dock or two myself. We better be careful with the one that came with watch or we will be out of luck for now!

I went to their store and all it did was to direct to a UK seller which wouldn't accept an order out of the UK. I did various searches but couldn't find another supplier.
As I missing something? I'd appreciate it if you had a link that ships to the USA.
Thanks

That's what I did too - wouldn't take it. I tried a different phone number and it took that. THEN it refused to validate my address. I suspect it knows I'm sending to mail receiver. Oh well, I'll send it to a friend in the US and have them mail it to me.
Seriously - I wish American-based companies would get over the idea that they can really stop people from buying their products.
thanks for the link I plan on buying a second charge cradle as well . I fear to ever lose one.
