fastboot status fail invalid argument - Galaxy Nexus - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello
I'm using phone Galaxy Nexus (GSM).
A few days ago the phone began to slow down but I haven't paid much attention on it. This morning, it just started to reboot, after 10-60 seconds of work. I decided to reset it to native settings via fastboot - Recovery mode - wipe data / factory reset.
After starting of the command it shows:

Formatting / data ...
Formatting / cache ...
Data wipe complete.

After reboot, the phone loads with my old data, and with the problems described above.
I tried to use SKIPSOFT ANDROID TOOLKIT

1 Set the drivers
2 Unlocked Bootloader
3 SKIPSOFT ANDROID TOOLKIT - the phone sees and displays serial number
4 I select the "Download and install the Google factory Stock Rom". The programm downloads stock Android 4.3 and during installation it on the phone, the error is showing:
fastboot status fail invalid argument
All the given methods with the search engines do not help, I tried different PC, different USB ports, tried to download different versions of Android OS starting from 4.1. Everything stops at fastboot status fail invalid argument
Stock Android 4.3 is installed on my phone. Haven't used any other insertions. For insertion I use native cord.
Please tell me what could be the problem.

After rebooting the phone, the problems have not gone away - the phone continues to restart, it also impossible to delete anything from it before turning off. As far as I see, the file system continues to be read only.
I’ve got one more question, ‘Sending data’ ends at 1835008 bytes, this is 1.835 MB (megabytes), although my phone for 16 GB. Does this mean that EMMC memory has been broken? Or this is software problem?
Again, the phone is loaded and running 30-60 seconds, during this time you can run applications, watch videos, etc.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried:
- Extract driver to some folder
- Disconnect phone and remove battery
- Open the device manager:
- Connect the usb to the pc with the mini connected to the phone.
- You have only a few seconds to see the omap4440 and double click, if you could not open it the first time disconnect and reconnect the usb and try again.
- Once opened update driver and select to browse the folder included in the package to install driver.
- Run the tool again..

Hm when i didnt have the drivers installed for omap4440 the tools wouldnt do anything so i dont think it is the problem. I remember Reading something about a bad motherboard/Ram .

Can you get to fastboot or recovery? If so have you tried the tool kit? It will give you choices to execute if you're not to knowledgeable with fastboot commands.

I think you took chance on the phone, but lost..
OMAP utility finds the phone fine and - it loads and and initializes eMMC driver
When loading MLO_4460_HS_PRO - it manages 65536 of 131072 bytes and hangs..
It looks like a hardware issue.
Can you go to the omap flash folder: .\OMAPFlash\Targets\Projects\tuna and there edit omap4460_tuna_hs_pro.txt:
Change
-t 36000 -p OMAP4460_TUNA_8G_HS_PRO -2
to
-t 36000 -p OMAP4460_TUNA_8G_HS_PRO -2 -rxtx_trace

I forgot to mention this but my galaxy nexus is GSM i9250 if it helps. It is a international version

I gave the logs already but i havent recieved a response back from the other poster. I think it might be a faulty EMMC i am not 100% sure

I was running stock Android 4.1 on my Galaxy Nexus and after usual rebooting yesterday I got the Android with the red triangle. I couldn't get into the recovery, only into Download Mode. I came here to fix it, tried to flash a stock rom with Odin but it didn't work. On booting it always got stuck at the Google logo for some hours.

I waited for the device to reboot (and to rebuild Dalvik Cache). It had an black screen all the time and 2 hours later I tried to reboot after pulling out the battery. Now it woun't even boot into Download Mode or Recovery Mode, the screen just stays black. I've searched the xda-forum and found that I should try OMAP Flash.

now when your omap4440 is recognized by device manager quickly double click and install drivers(you have about 2 seconds) select search drivers on pc and select desktop(drivers are in the above download.
When thr drivers are installed run the *.bat file in the download
after that u can get into download mode and odin flash a stock rom.

Okay, so I looked at the file names and the file I downloaded is the following:

After that the phone unplugged and replugged itself as OMAP4440 every 2 seconds. I inserted the battery and it boots into fastboot now.

And after some googling I found this Thread (unable to wipe, factory reset or flash rom cwm or fastboot) which seems to be what I got into. I started from stock rom without any modifications and now I can't write to /system anymore. As in the Thread has been stated the NAND chip seems to be faulty.

Hey,
The OMAP Flash worked. I can boot now into Fastboot. But I am not able to flash any ROM.
I didn't try after though. I want to send it to repair but still waiting for a result from someone else.

After that the phone unplugged and replugged itself as OMAP4440 every 2 seconds. I inserted the battery and it boots into fastboot now.

Hey bud, i'm experiencing similar problems and want to do this, however the phone was fine before hand and i've the lock screen before it went black, however i need to save the data URGENTLY. Did this delete your personal data or just patch system files to get it to boot?

Hey mate, I'm not sure since some other step could have deleted everything but some did. I guess when you do a OMAP flash everything is too late anyway but you can still try to save your data.

Cheers bud, i'm not going to take this step for now, i'll narrow down my such as fine as i can before resorting to this, although i believe you're 100% correct, it'd be great if someone could provide any more info on it for future readers. Thanks again. :good:
AFAIK, the drivers installed properly, and the bat file succeeded (i got the same output as you).
But I still can't boot into odin or fastboot. Idk what else i can do?
Galaxy Nexus Bricked (OMAPFlash error)
My Galaxy Nexus is also bricked but it is seen in the DevMgr as OMAP4440 for like 2 seconds before disconnecting. I managed to update the driver and now it is seen as OMAP4460 in the DevMgr and I have proceeded to use OMAPFlash_tuna. I have downloaded the drivers correctly this is the output I get when I run the batch file... It just hangs on the eMMC download driver part. Has anyone had this issue or could anyone shed some light on a solution.

Actually I gave as a gift, but I returned it saying stopped calling, I can not tell if someone mecheu in software or noa. when I connect usb jig it, it turns into download mode, but does not flash.

Just use usB JIG AND PRESS POWER+VOL dOWN
Help me guys, any problem on my nexus 3, when i turn power on and booting end, on lock screen menu my phone has restart again, i try to flash make odin and succes,but when i reboot my phone restart again,i try again with recovery mode,wipe. Data,cache, but not fix my problem, somebody help me,

Problem: FASTBOOT MODE - NO BOOT OR RECOVERY IMG

Hi all,
I've got a normal I9250 Gnex phone from a friend with some starting problems. Everything was fine so far, bootloader has never been unlocked and no custom things were installed.
Now, every time when phone is started it will load into fastboot mode with an error "FASTBOOT MODE - NO BOOT OR RECOVERY IMG". Bootloader LOCKED.
The only thing I can do so far is to reload the bootloader again or to switch phone off. When phone is off I can boot into Odin by pushing Vol. down + Power. This is all I can do.
When I connect the phone to the PC the phone is recognized in bootloader as well as Odin. So PC drivers are installed correctly.
When I try to get bootloader unlock with adb fastboot oem unlock I get a message on phone where I can unlock bootloader. But when i select YES and push Powerbutton the phone hangs up.
Can someome help me?

It seems phone will stuck at this. The emmc was updated before successfully.

Yes and it worked sucessfully everytime for some tar files. Got no errors.
But when phone reboots I saw lots of thin white lines on the screen, no boot so far. No reaction. The only thing i could do is to pull battery out.
Edit: For example I also tried these restore stock packages from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2065470 and other files who make full flash of bootloader etc. and never received an error. Only boot up ends immediatelly in white lines.
May be broken chip or something with corrupt partitions!?

ok thank you. Meanwhile this is also what I assume.
May be it is interessting though: I get an error when I flash a pit file with Odin. Will try this tommorow again to get the error message.

Hard Bricked GNex

Hi guys,
Last night i was using my GNex with PA 4.0 BETA, when i was writing a message the phone has freezed (like any other times and i solved every times removing the battery and turn on) and from yesterday it won't turn up, i tried also to turn up in fastboot or to try another battery but nothing, so i thought it was an hard brick...
The only good solution that i find it's the OMAPFlash but while i'm doing this procedure i met some error...
The phone is recognized by pc, so i've installed the driver than i re-plugged the USB cable...
After that i hear the sound of deconnected hardware after many seconds, so it's impossibile to run the .bat file, the only way to make the .bat run is to launche it before i plug in the GNex. With this mode it start to compile the cmd and seems to works well

After that i do what the guide suggest, to put the battery inside and to launch it in odin or fastboot mode but neither works, so, any suggestion?
