Hi,
I have a AT&T Tilt2 on which suddenly the volume rocker up button stop working as volume button and then brings me to the home screen from within any app!! I am unable to figure out why this would happen - its a stock AT&T ROM with some apps that I installed like - OperaBeta, HDWallS, Resco.
Even when I hold down the call drop button for sometime, the device does not lock! It vibrates but does nothing - just shows me the home screen.
Any idea on why this would happen ? has anyone seen this happen to their cell too ?
Thanks
Dhanvi
My volume buttons occasionally acts up too. They suddenly act as up and down keys rather than volume up and down keys. Very rarely though. A soft reset makes it go away each time.
...guess it was having an identity crisis...
I've been having problems with my volume buttons. And soft reseting doesn't solve the problem. The volume buttons work in the lock screen. But when i'm at the home screen they just open and close the volume screen.
I have a tilt 2 with the stock rom.
I don't have a lot of experience with tablets so apologies in advance if this is a daft question. On what I assume is the splash screen (the first screen to show after switching on) there is a news article about epl football seems to be stuck there and not refreshing. It has been stuck there nearly a week now since when I bought this tablet last week. As I'm not interested in football how can I get rid of this or at least change it to something I would like to see there.
I suspect this has something to do with flipboard. My galaxy tab was bought and is located in Scotland
Wait so your stuck on the Samsung screen? If so hold power, home, volume up and down at the same time for 30 seconds. Once it reboots quickly hold power, home vol up buttons at the same time and you should be in recovery mode. Now just use the volume buttons to move up and down and power button to select what you want. Just pick factory reset and wipe salvo caches. Then reboot.

Thanks for your reply, maybe I described the problem wrong, the tablet has not froze, on the first screen there are two widgets I think they would be called, one is weather which changes daily and works fine, the other is daily news which has been the same since last week when I first bought the tablet. The daily news widget is last week's news if you know what I mean, it is this old news that does not refresh so I would rather get rid of it.
Oh. Just hold on the widget and move up to the remove section on the launcher to get rid of the widget.
Fixed it thanks
I have problem with my SM-T705.
I was playing Injustice Among Us, just an hour ago.
Well in PvP the game suddenly not responding , so I press ok. Then the screen stuck. Can,t restart but I can still hear and feel the vibrate from my phone Whatsapp. The problem is I cant restart my phone I cant even go back to home screen stuck in game. Not responding. Please help me.
Press power, home button, and vol up and down buttons at the same time and hold it for 30 seconds and it should force a reboot. It probaly frozen because of the app.
hi guys,
I recently did something slightly different on my T700 that I've owned for almost 3 yrs now.... I enabled the finger print reader. After that, I noticed some odd behavior over the next few days, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
Anyway a few days later, the touchscreen stopped working. I have a feeling that enabling the fingerprint reader, had something to do with this. The home button works, so does the power and vol +/-. But swiping my fingerprint over the home button does not spark any response, and I cannot enter my backup password at all.
1) I have tried powering off using the power button - this does not work. The power menu appears on the touchscreen and I cannot select it.
2) I've tried holding down the power button for 10+ seconds - this does nothing, which seems odd. Normally this will restart any device after a few seconds.
3) I've tried "power + vol up + vol -" all simultaneously. This forces the device to restart, but the problem is still present.
4) Tried running the battery down, then charging up and turning on... but it's the same outcome as (3).
5) tried wipe data/wipe cache/factory reset... it has gone back to the start-up screen, in Korean.... but the touchscreen still does not work!!!
Please... help me..!!!! lol
Bueller...Bueller.... Anyone...
Hi guys,
since yesterday i have a weird issue with my samsung tablet. It won't turn on anymore. If I try a hard reset it does not react at all. I pressed The power + volume up as well as power+vol up+ home button for ages. If i try power + volume down it shows a display with
" warning!!! a custom OS can cause critical problems......... Volume up:continue Volume down: Cancel (restart phone) "
I've tried both options. If I hit vol down it just turn black again and nothing happens, if i press the up button the next screen tells me it's in download mode and i must not turn it off.
Since the screen stays on for ages it cannot be an batterie issue i guess. After a while i really did turn it off. But the problem persists.
Another important thing to mention. The day before i installed NordVPN and played a bit with it. Same on my iPad and my iPad had the very same issue the next day. Luckily the hard reset on the Ipad worked right away. It turned on again and i deleted the NordVPN.
Do you have any idea how to fix this, and maybe what caused it.
Thank you very much!!
Your in the S1 section not the S3 one, though what fixes an S1 boot problem most likely fixes an S3 as well, below is the link to the S3 section.
Good Luck.
