What is NamelessROM?
NamelessROM Gerrit Review
What is NamelessROM ?
Simple - NamelessROM is opportunity.
An opportunity to have a voice to the development team of the after-market firmware that you run on your device.
The main goal of NamelessROM is to provide quality development for android devices, phones and tablets alike.
NamelessROM developers are available nearly 24/7 and respond to bug reports and feature requests almost instantly.
This availability will allow you, the end-user, to have direct input into exactly what features and functions are included on the firmware that YOU run.
NamelessROM maintains features and functions of several well-known open-source, AOSP-based ROMs, as well as many features of our own.
Visit our website for more detailed information.
NamelessROM = endless possibilities. Unless you have an iPhone, then you're out of luck.

current version
installation very fast
first boot little longer than usual
then its butter smooth
everything working
GPS is my pet peeve and its working just fine, no delays at all.
I approve this ROM for every day use.
Installed....so far good.. WiFi good.. Data defaulting to metropcs APN.. Had to change to T-Mobile manually.
Update: when in YouTube ..received call..pressed answer and screen goes blank. Call got connected..but can't set on speaker or hangup, as screen doesn't take inputs
GPS works. Netflix still a no go like on the other 5.0 CM based Roms and for some reason I'm not getting audio from headphones.
You can try this rom for working sensors

Hi I have the problem that every time when I call someone the screen turns of.. I can get it on by pressing power but as soon as I select the ongoing phone call the screen turns black again.. It is impossible to use the Dailerr during a call so I can not call any service where i need to make a selection with the Dailer.. Anyone have a solution?

Could you please try the cm12 rom available in this forum (or my cm12 build from n7105 section). They're using the older cm kernel. If it works there, I'll probably find a fix quickly.

I haven't came across one yet. I've only been running it for about 30-45 minutes tho. Will report back with any problems. But I can tell you this the time zone thing is fixed. Messaging app works right away. Zero reboot problems. SD card is good.
Edit: Made a phone call all is good. Only problem dialer crashes when speed dialing voicemail.
In Call volume is backwards. But not a problem.
Edit2: Time zone problem still exist. After my phone switched to LTE the time zone went to 00:00 London

Hi. I've installed Mokee 5.1. Everything is awesome except one tiny but extremely annoying thing:
All lists in the OS and in all apps scroll with a crazy animation. It literally makes me seasick when I scroll through long lists.
I've googled up that Xposed can disable it, but unfortunately Xposed is not compatible with my device or firmware. How do I disable the scrolling animation manually?

As we know, rear microphone becomes useless on all CM based ROMs. I introduce a very small patch to enable rear mic. Also, 2 microphones will become more sensitive after applying this mod.
Instruction:
So easy. Just boot into recovery and flash it.
Info:
This patch was brought from stock ROM, with a small modification.
Both microphones are used in recording sound/video mode. Front mic for left channel and rear for right channel.

Not good idea. AFAIK, CM doesn't merge pull requests. More proper way to send commit is to do it via Gerrit. If you don't have a time for this or don't want to learn "communicating" with Gerrit, I can make the change with your authorship (in git commit --author way, of course).

Awesome, now used all hardware.
Thank you for such good change. Waiting for merging in CM.
Video for sure recorded in stereo: I moved sound source and when playing in headphones sound "moving" too.
Good, that there big distance in between mics: this increase stereo effect.
But what about noise canceling? Is it work?
This more hard to check.
UPD
IMHO better to revert high mic sensitivity (ADC1 and ADC3 100 >> 82).
At call interlocutors noticed too loud, distorted voice.
I can confirm this too after recording and playing conversation e.g. via ACR app.

1. Exactly there's a small noise recorded by camera's mic. I added these lines for reducing noise:
Code:
'AIF1_CAP Mixer SLIM TX1':1:1
'AIF1_CAP Mixer SLIM TX5':1:1
It works at the first time after system booted up, but then it doesn't work. Anw, because this noise is very small, I think that no one will notice about it.
2. OK. I'll make a version of the zip with reduced volume.

No, I mean noise cancelling in-call.

I can't check if it works, but I think it won't. The in-call noise cancelling function use camera mic setting for recording noise source. However, our camera mic records using both mics. That means the phone can't get the noise.

TipsyOS
This ROM was created by Martin Coulon (@martinusbe) one of the lead devs at Ground Zero Roms. This was created as a side project during his 'free' time while waiting for GZR's Validus & Tesla builds to finish. Now if you are wondering why it is called Tipsy, you guessed it. He was actually somewhat drunk when he made it, and even now, most updates/fixes are done while happily intoxicated, thus keeping the Tipsy motto. It was initially done for the OnePlus One as a joke, however, the love for this ROM was so huge, it found it's way out. We just couldn't keep it to ourselves. Within a few days, it had spread like wildfire to a plethora of different devices.
Tipsy has a slim base, and only the useful and necessary stuff was added, including a few extra features to keep up with the competition out there. Tipsy fully supports Layers (RRO) and has the Layers manager app built-in. CM is kept to the barest minimum here, and is only added/used ONLY as needed.
I will try to keep this updated as much as possible, but if you feel like getting the info as it comes out along with some nice graphics, check it out here:

Off topic: you think the "kirin" processor will get to the point where ROMs will be plentiful? ?

Yes only if Huawei changes their mind about the source. If only they just publicly release the sources immediately rather than delaying it for so long.

Bug: proximity sensor for case open/close are not working in this ROM.
Aside from this, things have been very smooth and stable, and it's s great start

Working on it after pie release
I remember you from my old z2 times. Now i have Samsung tab s3, but thinking about switching to mediapad m5 as development on my current tab is very little. happy to see you here. thanks for your effort
I installed your Resurrection Remix a couple of weeks ago. I am really enjoying it, and not running into many problems, aside from the aforementioned magnetic case not turning on and off the tablet. I do want to ask you though (and forgive me, I'm not super tech savvy in regards to this, so my questions might be a bit dumb), does the kernel you use allow for over and under clocking? I've tried setting this in "Kernel Adiutor" and the cpu speeds I set never stick.... however changing the governors does. And does your kernel allow for fast/quick charge?
Regardless, thanks a ton for bringing a bunch of ROMs to the M5, I really appreciate it!
*Edit*: I just wanted to add, that one problem I am running into is that sometimes my bluetooth crashes. Seems to be random, and only starts working again when I reboot the system.

Do these ROMs work on both LTE and Wi-Fi only variants of the tablet?
Likely a problem with ASOP, but WiFi only tablets have an annoying amount of phone like features that can be disabled (or detected and removed);
No SIM card icon
No SIM card message
Volume buttons control ringtone , should control media volume
I'm sure there are other annoyances

I also have an Wifi only Mediapad and long searched for a fix for this.
A few days ago I found an answer and added this line to my build.prop:
Code:
ro.radio.noril=yes
Especially the "No SIM card - No service" text in the notification tray bother me and after adding the line it was gone and also the Settings for mobile networks disappeared.
I could deactivated the Phone and Messenger App, I don't know if it was impossible before.
About the Volume buttons, I am not sure, cuz I use the App "Volume Pie" that's default controls media volume anywhere.
Hmm... Why exactly did they ban your work?

Thanks, that fixed the SIM card messages, just need a patch to get sensible tablet control of the volume buttons.
I would seriously avoid this, there is something very bad smelling about OpenKirin.
The developers want to remain anonymous, there is no source code for audit, and of you ask awkward questions along these lines on the telegram channel they suddenly get very abusive.
All signs that something is not entirely right and there is something to hide.. (included malware or data harvesting???).
Huawei is now a huge player, and therefore a prime candidate for mass day harvesting from anyone that flashes a closed source ROM like this.
Anyone knows how to root after installing LOS?
Usually I would use TWRP to get it, but the stock recovery does not support it.

Obviously nobody actually knows these people, I was looking for a source code link to audit and compile...
@Signor Rossi it's actually the same procedure as from this this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/how-to/root-root-guide-huawei-mediapad-m5-t3786157.
What's the difference between the ROMs?
Well, check the ROMs own development pages. Openkirin simply build them for us, that's all. They are not "making" them.
