Well, there should be a Lollipop update im sure. I mean the Note 2 has almost the same specs as our S4 Mini and considering our device is more "latest" than the Note 2, no doubt abt the Lollipop update

Even the galaxy grand which the xda classifies as "low activity device" has more development than combined all galaxy tab 3 models. I think the price difference between note 8 and tab 8 is not much considering the note 8 has more development so far.l would recommend the note 8.

I'm currently looking into development for the sgt3 8....
Considering the note 8.0 has been out longer just give it time.
Development works are underway

Yeah considering the tab3 is only 2 months old. Honestly I would get the note just for the s pen over the 8 inch gt3
I'm actually working on a port of a stock Android 4.3 and when that's working stabile I'll port the paranoid rom for the Wifi and 3g version of the tab 3 8.0.
I just have a lot of work so it'll take some time

When can we expect Kitkat on our Galaxy Note II's? I just got mine Note II new yesterday and got rid of my HTC One since I just jumped from T-Mobile and the Note II is all I could afford.

Could have helped or posted the link for the previous thread instead of just saying stuff like that...
I think galaxy note 2014 is one of the last in the line for update for kitkat. Galaxy s4, galaxy note i think is getting kitkat first. Which sucks because they released galaxy tab pro and note pro line and it came out not so long after galaxy note 2014 10.1.. and our tablet doesnt have kitkat while the pro line does. AND we have to wait a long time for the update. Im guessing about 2 to 3 more months or more

I think you are right. Galaxy note 10.1 which is called N-8000 until now does not get Jelly Bean 4.3 and is running 4.2.
This is Samsung Policy, the recent released phones and Tablets are the last to get the recent update.
Apple has a different policy every phone, ipod and ipad gets the recent update once released.
No reason!
Well... no reason to care about that!
KitKat is not very good!
Many disadvantages and problems hhere!
If you've got 4.4.2 then upgrade to 4.4.3 or 4.4.4! Thery're all better than 4.4.2!
One of the biggest disadvantages:
„The WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission must only grant write access to the primary external storage on a device. Apps must not be allowed to write to secondary external storage devices, except in their package-specific directories as allowed by synthesized permissions. Restricting writes in this way ensures the system can clean up files when applications are uninstalled.“

I hope so but I think we won't.
It will not get lollipop upgrade so android 6 is out of question.
Why note 3 neo not get lollipop or marshmallow ? Not themes, fake themed apps system ui what is this aah ! Lot of people use note 3 neo WE LOVE TO SEE LOLLIPOP ON NOTE 3 NEO Gabri s6 theme is good but on our note 3 neo SM-N7505 no twrp recovery or cm roms.................
Note 3 neo will receive lollipop. the version n750K/L/S already have the update, then the n750/n7505 will receive it soon.

n750K/L/S has snapdragon 800 soc. I doubt that exynos variants would be getting lollipop at all. Because k zoom (C-115) with same specs as N750 will not get update as per youmobile.

So you mean to say Exynos variants have crappy support both from Samsung and devs too. This model of phone is like a step child which has been forgotten by Samsung completely.
It's pointless to be a loyal Samsung user anymore.

And that too when Exynos is their own product :/
Also, thinking marshmallow is going too far.

Had a check with Samsung Chat support today and there's no info about lollipop for SM-N750 variant.
Android M is definitely out of the question and it was outright stupid on my part to choose Exynos phone after moving from Galaxy S2 which was another Exynos based device.

You should be happy if you even get the Lollipop update!
GUYS!
ths SoC does not matter for such an big oem like Samsung...
Also the n750/5 have a exynos processor, so it is samsungs own processor. It wont be harder for samsung to make a 5.1.1 build because they have all tha needed sources
However samsungs update policy isnt understandable... on other devices they were bad too:
galaxy tab Pro 12.2 got Lollipop 5.1.1
but tab pro 10.1 and 8.4 wont get the update anymore
also:
all galaxy tab 4 devices got Lollipop
but the 7 inch version hasnt
see ? samsung is sometimes giving updates to only some models of one product
Samsung has released 5.1.1 for SM-N750 in few countries so this will be last major Android update.
Here on it'll be most likely security updates from Samsung or half baked/buggy custom roms on XDA
