So i just got my 360 and i am getting HORRIBLE battery life. I am using facer and i heard that drains your battery, Is there a way to import watch faces to the stock app?
Takes a while for the battery life to stabilize. Try watchmaker for custom faces. It imports both formats
Like instigator said. I had the same problem with facer and switched to watchmaker. Now no problem.
Okay ill try that thanks guys !
I've been using Watchmaker since I got my 360 and switched to Facer yesterday because some faces wouldn't import into watchmaker properly...my battery life appears to be the same as it was with watchmaker....I was reading in the battery life thread that everyone is different in regards to battery life......some getting great battery (like me) and some terrible....some were fixed by the update...some got worse. I'm thinking it might be the phone itself causing the battery drain...specifically the bluetooth driver/radio....I know on my Note 2 I had issues with bluetooth cutting out on headsets intermittently...now with my Note 4 I have a perfect connection...both running 4.4.4....

I have the newest fireware from last week on my moto 360. After I got the update battery was 2% to 3% an hour drain. Coming from 5%. Ambient off and screen either on auto or 4 brightness. Yesterday and today my battery life is now 8% to 10%. Nothing changed. Same watch face. Using Facer app for watch faces. My watch will drain 2% 15mins or so. Ill look at it and it will show 88% then 15 mins later Ill watch it jump down 2%. Not 1% but always 2%. I have reset the moto 360 and uninstalled facer and reinstalled it. Nothing same battery life. How come after the firmware the battery life was awesome then all of sudden 5, 6 days later im seeing this battery drain? Even if I use the stock watch faces it still drains way to fast. I have every thing off. Crap even after the update I used ambient for two days and still lasted from 7am to 10pm with juice to spare. Now I cant even get 7am to 10 pm with out a charge. What could be going on?
You tried resetting the 360. Now try restarting your phone. Remember, these two devices are tethered together via Bluetooth, so phone issues can affect the 360's battery life as well. I'm not saying that's positively the culprit, but with no other changes to the watch, there's not much else, other than a defective battery. (Assuming there's not another change you haven't seen, such as an updated wear-compatible app.)

Yeah I have done that. I just changed watch faces on the facer app to see if the watch face was causing the issue. Ill know in a few.
I think there's an app that bugs and uses battery, I noticed bad battery life and I reset and got over 2x more.
Try reset and not installing apps :good:

Not even facer?
I've noticed this myself. And like you, I've reset my 360, switched to minimal watch face, restarted my phone and even deleted the data for my google now app on my phone. Not sure what's causing it. Latest firmware and everything.
Mine just started recently.... i think mine might be related to the update of the wear app on my phone... it updated and did a force reboot of my moto 360. after that my watch started crashing processes and getting stuck... for a while, i couldn't even factory reset.... battery fell like a rock.... very odd.
Removed all 3rd party apps from phone, factory reset watch, and still battery drain is crazy. what used to last all day with 30% left over when i get home is now chewing up 50% in just 5 hours.... something is very wrong with the latest wear app i think....
Very interesting, I have had better life after the update...BUT one or two apps are acting a but funky on the phone...

Hi,
My G2 usually has stellar battery life, but since I connected the Moto 360 to it, it drains faster than the watch. I took them both off the chargers at 9:30AM, and at 3PM the watch shows 71% battery (which is great, btw) but the phone is at 56% whereas without the watch it would have been at at least 75-80%.
I do have the latest update to the Moto 360 (the one that increases battery life). Unfortunately I could not try the combo before the update because my watch is new.
Does anyone have this problem using his LG G2 in conjunction with Moto 360 ? Any solutions ?
Thanks.
Yes, I am having that issue with my LG G2. Android Wear is top app consuming my battery, even more so than my screen. My LG G2's battery life prediction drops in almost half after a few hours of Android Wear being connected to the watch. I am wearing the watch disconnected for the time being until this is resolved. Yesterday, Google opened an official product support forum for Android Wear. I started a thread there on this problem. I'd encourage you to contribute to it.
https://productforums.google.com/fo...tion#!category-topic/android-wear/-1Crx26hm6k
I sometimes have this issue with my One M8. Easy to tell, the phone is getting warm and the battery graph takes a steeper downward angle. The fix I found is to just reboot the watch. Seems to work everytime for me.
Me three... I noticed this with my G2 after getting the 360, however battery drain is not as drastic as you mention. My phone will still get me through a day's use.
I've been waiting to go back to my Nexus 5 to see if this is any different, but LG returned it without repairing the fault on it
Add me to the list. My G2 battery drains much faster when watch is connected.
I found the problem. It was a recent update to the PayPal app. PayPal consumed more battery than the screen. Android Wear is not in the top battery draining apps but maybe Bluetooth drain is not counted as part of the app. I have uninstalled it last night an now my G2's battery is as good as ever. Plus the 360 has 51% battery left after 9 hours with Ambient Mode on.
Things look quite acceptable right now !
I don't even see android wear using any battery on my G2
Are you using any apps or watch faces that sync data a lot? That can cause a wake lock on the phone and cause a drain like that
LG G3 drains way more than it did when paired with my Pebble watch. Switching to the Xperia Z3, ad it also drains fairly fast. I'm not even using Google Now
I updated a couple of days ago to the android wear 5.0.1 OS and the latest android wear app...
Great work was done on the watchface API. Watchfaces are now more organized and accessible..
The biggest problem I'm facing now is the huge Battery Drain.
Watch can no longer last through the day.. I put it on at atound 6:30 in the morning.. At 2:30 PM, I'll be down to 15%.
What good is a watch if it can't last a normal day?
I think i might have jumped on the android wear wagon too soon.
Now I'm stuck with a useless device in my wrist.
Do you have a lot of 3rd party apps for the watch? I"m just guessing but it could be that these 3rd party apps aren't optimized to work with 5.0.1. Perhaps you could remove those apps and see how it goes.
And I assume that you've already done a reset?
I've made it through about 16 hours and am down to 46%. What are you doing to run it down so much? I have wrist activation turned off and ambient mode turned off. I do have Facer running with a watch face that gives weather and battery stats, but that's the only thing that would drain my battery.
I have not reset... I have two third party apps.. A compass and phone lost detection..
I'll reset and feedback here.. Good advice man thanks.
I have the same problem once i got the update even facer also updated battery life is bad again
Im having the same problem also. But after turn off BT a night, next day turn in again, the problem fix magically. Problem now is sometimes having difficulty to charge it. Need to turn off BT again then only can fully charge. Btw, didnt reset after system update.[/QUOTE]

For facer, see if this makes and difference -> http://www.reddit.com/r/Facer/comments/2p2in2/battery_life_android_wear_5_duplicate_watchfaces/
switch to the "other" facer app on your watch...

Uninstall phone lost detection app, that improved my battery life vastly

Same thing happened to me. I usually take my watch off the cradle around 8am and get home from work around 6pm. Usually have about 60% life remaining. I'm using just the built in digital watch face. Today was my first full day on 5.0.1 update and my watch died before 3pm. I can't believe it. Hoping it's just a fluke. Think I'll go one more day and if it happens again will try a reset.

The reset did improved the battery performance for me.
I don't see any harm in resetting as this is a watch after all, so little will be lost.
However, the battery performance surely improved but it did not return the watch to the same battery performance as before the update.
I used to pick up the watch at 6:30 AM and put it on the dock at 11:30 PM with 48-50 percent left.
Now I pick it up at 6:30 and put it on the dock at 10 PM with 15 percent left. But it's still surely an improvement before the reset and after the update (I got only 5 hours before I decided to reset)
I still haven't installed ANY third party apps at all. I can only imagine how the performance will decrease if I install phone lost detection or any other Bluetooth-demanding apps.
i am finding that i'm getting slightly less battery life, but i make it through the day fine. i'm starting to wonder how much the accelerometer is killing battery. they finally integrated the option to disable "tilt to wake" and i have seen an improvement only at work where moving my hands on the keyboard. on the weekends, when i'm just wearing/walking, etc., tilt to wake makes no difference.
I got the latest 5.0.1 update on my watch seem like battery life is back! Im at 65% and its 4pm I removed it from the charger at around 5am .
My previous problem was I had the 4.4w on my watch and Facer that was on Android 5.0 . That was the reason for the bad battery life.
I've been on 5.0.1 for a couple days now and while battery life seems unchanged to me, the watch does seem to have a hard time charging to 100%. I got home from work and put it on the charger and usually it charges to 100% within an hour. Now I noticed it would get to about 85-90% and stop charging completely. The blue circle charging screen stays on but it doesn't keep charging. I left it on the charger all night and it was at 86% when I picked it up in the morning. Anyone else seeing this issue?

I have pretty much the same issue with my Moto 360, except in my case I only get to 75~78%, less than yours. I've been googling here and there about this one, but so far no luck with fixes or workarounds. I've e-mailed Motorola and, although I don't except a lot from them, hopefully they get back to me with something useful.
i think i noticed this also! hovered around 85% -ish.
i just took it off the charger, put it back and then it has not happened since. this was a couple days ago.
stock stock stock all the way homie! latest updates. nex 6 paired.
Yeah seems ok to me now too. Strange.
I was just wondering what is the normal battery drain amount, I can barely seem to get a day out of the battery... Last night I put it in airplane mode and theatre mode and it made no difference in battery, it went about 30% over 8 hours. During the day it's ever worse. I get anywhere from 7 to 15% battery drainage per hour. Somedays I can barely make it the entire day. Do I have a defective unit? what are you guys getting in terms of battery use in your watches. I have the latest android 6.0.1 and android wear 1.5.0.3044569 Build number M1D63G.
I purchased the watch about a week ago.
Battery drain pretty random in my case... my watch is also on M1D63G... awful update, hoping for a quick fix but I don't think it will come quickly.
No fix for maybe one year, so..........

To be honest I'm waiting for Sony IFA 2016 which will be on Thursday and I really really REALLY hope they will introduce Sony Smartwatch 4 along with Xperia X Compact so I will be able to throw my hard-earned money right at their faces to buy this stuff
Not certain that Sony like Android Wear ?
I have noticed same thing with my SW3 and i think that is caused by watchface - in my case - watchmaker premium - i have been created my own watchfaces - nixie and flipclock from scratch - and mine SW3 also last about one day per charging. Try to change watchface to stock sony watchface and compare battery drain then - and ofc - let us know if that was the case.
I have a feeling Watchmaker watch faces tend to cause drain, not sure though since it seems a bit random.
I changed my watch face to stock one and the battery is at least somewhat better and lasts day & night.

I use watchmaker and Pujie black and the battery does indeed die faster when I'm on watchmaker. On Pujie I can go up to 1.5 days on a single charge with brightness on auto , gestures and all radios on. Might be a rogue app causing too much drain...maybe revert to stock then install an app a day to see what might be causing the drain?
I have 2 phones, and when I just use the watch not connected to the phone, I get a couple days of life, and the screen does not randomly turn on. I think the android wear app on the phone is causing the problems?

Just got M1D63X, maybe that will be the fix?
My galaxy watch would normally get 3-4 days of battery life. After this latest patch, I get 2 if Im lucky. Currently running 18 hours on my latest charge, Ive dropped from 100 to 52%. Battery history shows the watch face consuming most of it. The watch face Im using is dark, no light features. Any ideas?

Second party watchface battery draining can come from many factors and in your case, you should first go back to a simple Samsung OEM WF to check if it is the culprit and also the AOD.
No problems here. BT version. Every day using shealth for workout. Without it 6 days.View attachment 4787623

I do not use AOD. However, Facer does appear to be the culprit. Removing it my battery life is now 4-5 days.
Any other watch face apps that I should consider that are better on battery life?

Never had it turned on.
Just try different ones is all I can say. I imagine that that drain issue isn't gonna be common with other faces since you said it only started happening after an update of the watch face (so it might actually get fixed soon). I use Dashboard that came with it.
I believe I fixed the battery of my watch by denying the Galaxy Wear app to run in the background. No loss of functionality, it just keeps asking to allow it every time I open the app.
