Hi all, I managed to brick my Optimus G E975 (international version) - the inside of the phone shows E975K.
I have it running the stock ROM for over a year (rooted) and lately I am looking into flashing with custom ROM (KitKat). I have not even flash the phone, I just installed ROM Manager app (pro) and used it to boot to recovery. It won't boot to recover, so I use ROM Manager app to install TWRP (to replace clockmodwork). I booted to recovery and I got the fastboot but could not do anything so I rebooted to normal and install clockmodwork again. There was an option to Flash clockmodwork which I think I chose and I assumed that was installing clockmodwork. But when I booted to recovery, my phone never turned on anymore.
While I got my phone working, using ROM Manager I tried few times to make a back up of the current ROM but it was never succeeded. The phone just rebooted normally.
I opened my phone and disconnect the battery as some people suggested. But I still can't turn on the phone. I got flashing red led when I press the power button (with or without the vol up/down).
Please help. I hope I can unbrick my phone as the warranty is over.
Any info and help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey people, I think I just bricked my Xperia and I need help to fix it.
What I did: I was on stock 4.4.4 and wanted to use a custom ROM, so I rooted the stock 4.4.4 (Locked Bootloader), and installed this recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
The phone rebooted as soon as it finished and it went straight to the just-installed recovery. I already had the ROM inside internal memory, so I just flashed it, and after it flashed I cleaned dalvik and cache and rebooted. The phone vibrated but nothing appeared, and now it doesn't turn on and does nothing. Trying to go back to any working version at all, but Flashtool doesn't even recognize it anymore, it doesn't seem to go on flashmode anymore
This is the rom I tried installing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...nwalker-revolution-v2-0-faster-t2885966/page3
Please help me guys!
Just flash stock rom via flashtool.
p.s. to turn off phone hold yellow button on the back(Under cover) and then try to flash the phone
Thanks man, it worked! Had to hold the button for 10 seconds, and wait for 3 vibrations and it entered flashmode!
Just wish I knew what went wrong during last installation...
Hey there. I've been using Candy5 for a bit, but kept a nandroid backup of stock. Today I restored stock (was working for a day) but when I tried to restore back my Candy5 nandrood backup from recovery it won't boot, and shows up a LG logo with 'Security error' under it. What may be the problem? I had to go to work and left my phone at home. Will look at it in a few hours, just wondering if you guys saw something similar? Any workarounds to that? Or how to fix it?
Jast flash aosp kernel Furnace od 777jon.
How do I that ? Can't access recovery because it won't boot. From what I've read so far D855 can't go into fastboot.
Have you tried with button combination volume down and power to boot in to recovery? If not then go into download mode with volume up and plug usb cable and reflash to stock rom with Flash Tool.
Didn't even know the combination exists, was used to it from former Sony phones, but it isn't working here.
Yup, reflashing stock now, thanks.
The problem prob was I installed recovery through AutoRec app. That seems to be for 5.0 only.
Which is the best recovery/kernel for 5.1.1?
Furnance and 777jon kernel both are good and work well on 5.1
reboot to recovery with hard keys (hold power+volume down, when see the LG logo, release and hold again keys, then you see the factory reset option, double yes)
flash your current rom again, (no need to GApps again, just rom) wipe cache+dalvik, reboot system.
AutoRec is the problem for me to see this error, and my solve
sorry for bad english
Today I received my GT-N7105 back from the repairers after having the screen replaced, or maybe the whole phone replaced as for some reason my phone was un-rooted! God knows why they would have to do that to replace the screen.
So I've just rooted again and installed ROM Manager and attempted to flash CWM recovery, according to the app it went fine, but when trying to boot to recovery using the ROM Manager app and the volume up + home + power method I'm met with the stock recovery.
I have tried using Odin to install CWM recovery but the device freezes on the boot screen every time I try, and freezes there when I take the battery out and attempt to boot the phone again. So I have to root again just to get the device to turn on.
Its been years since I flashed a custom recovery so tried following a couple guides, but no luck.
I want to flash CyanogenMod to the device but cant do this without CWM (I've never attempted to use TWRP, better the devil you know!)
I have noticed Knox has appeared on my device, but I have not activated it as I hear this causes issues with rooting, and the reason I think this is a different device altogether is the flash counter was at 0 when first rooted this one, but I must have pushed this p to at least 15 before it went in for the repair.
Am I missing something? Please don't make me have to use the bloated to the heavens stock Android!
Thanks in advance and will be thanking any help.
So I recently bought the Korean LG G3 (F400) and the first thing I did was rooting it, which was a breeze. Of course to root it I needed to install the LG Mobile Drivers, which I did and were working completely fine. Then I decided to take a little risk and attempt to flash CWM recovery (I did not know that I need to unlock the bootloader first or BUMP! the device) and well, flashed it the same way I flash stuff on my previous Samsung phones.
So now, when I try to boot the phone, I get the LG Logo and goes through with the boot animation, but after a little less than a second the boot animation fails and I get a black screen + the LED flashing blue and green and the phone remains like that. I tried factory reset but after I click yes it shows the LG logo then goes into a black screen (without the boot animation) + LED flashing blue and red.
So I tried finally going into download mode and attempting to return it to stock via LG Flash Tools, and like I said before the drivers were installed, but when I connect the phone to the PC it gives the message "Drivers were not successfully installed" and the LG Flash Tools fails to detect the phone. I checked within Device Manager and it says the LGE MTP device "cannot start".
So I'm pretty much stuck with a phone that doesn't boot, can't flash anything via adb or flash tools and no recovery installed. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to get this beast back up?
Try using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
Hello
I have recently rooted my LG G3 D855 and all went fine until i flashed TWRP, which i most certainly did wrong, and now i have no way of restoring the device since entering recovery presents me with the 2 prompts and afterward a blank screen and flashing red and blue LED. I tried holding VOL+ and plugged in the usb but it does not send me to download mode. Overall the phone does work, i mean it boots up fine and has all it's functions except the 2 mentioned above. I currently an on Lollipop 5.0 V21a. If anyone could guide me on where to look, since the best i have found is restoring back to custom which is not an option, I would appreciate it ALOT.
