Ok Verizon had a update a couple days ago I'm fine but my wife's galaxy note 4 is not making it threw a whole day and she's not even on it much I've seen there where other people having issues once update hit there phone... 1. From experience I know you can't usually due this but is there anyway to backtrack and install an older version of Android.. 2. Is there a way to reinstall the update to see if it was a bad install or file I'm not sure what is going on but trying to figure this out she is running on super power saving mod to survive the day I'd say battery issue but the day the update hit this issue started... Any advice much appreciated if any thank you

Try flashing the full tar using Odin from here. You can go with the original or the newer version. I haven't had a battery issue with mine on either update but that all depends on the usage.

I have had my phone sense Nov last year and just updated to the OTA 2.3 Android a few months ago. Sense the update (and to a lesser degree ever sense i got my phone) the screen has becoming more and more unresponsive. It started as just the Lock Screen would do nothing for the first few seconds and then everything would be fine. I would have it think i was long pressing spots sometimes and apps like Facebook and Tweetcaster would super scroll and speed up or down for a long time. Over the past couple weeks it has become so bad that my phone would stop responding to the touch screen within a couple seconds of awakening it. I have resorted to using the arrow keys like its an old Sidekick. Which works, just not really well. I am planning on calling sprint and getting it insurance-replaced because i think it might be a hardware problem. But before doing that I have put it back to stock ROM using the program that Samsung put out as their replacement to Odin (which i have used many times sense after about a month i started rooting my phone and screwing around with it.) The recent Apps i have been using which i think could be responsible are Mr. Number as it blocks calls and Cloudskipper Media Player sense it overrides the lock screen and maybe one of those two is messing with something.
Has anyone else had this problem or something similar, any ideas on how to fix it if it comes up again?
Ok, u said that u have ur phone rooted since u updated it to gb? Or what? Trying to clarify first before we contine.

Sorry, no it is currently not rooted. It was, but i had to restore it to factory because while it was rooted Clockwork wasnt liking the OTA update. Actually Clockwork wasnt seeing my SD card at all at that point. So I used the Odin replacement to reset, then the update took. Sense then i havent re-rooted it.
Ok. Well there is an updated version of cwm, and there are a few steps that u need to do to reroot with gb

Okay, I have had ICS since the day it was launched, I updated it from Samsung kies. Ever since I've been having many problems with my phone, freezing, auto brightness, and not getting a notification of me receiving an e-mail. I was wondering what I can do to fix this, any help would be great.
Thank You XDA
Are you running a custom ROM and if you're not maybe you should consider on flashing one.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
If youre not rooted use kies to make a backup, then do a factory wipe and restore from kies. If that doesnt fix it, and it likely wont, call tmo to complain. After an hour of running you through the ringer with their tech support they will refer you to samsung since they will claim your issue is new and they dont have anyone else reporting the same issue - and samsung will give you a replacement phone which will likely have the same issue.
There is no way i am speaking from experience...
That said Your best course of action imo is to root and use a custom GB rom.

Ok so I have my galaxy s3 att version rooted with faux's kernel on the stock rom. I havent received any updates since the original purchase and my battery life is suffering bad due to the cell standby problem (don't know how common it is) and is taking up ALOT of battery during the day. I need to get my phone up to the latest update so I can resolve this annoying problem. I leave it on standby doing absolutely nothing at all for 7 hours everyday and is always at %40 left starting off with %100. I dont know the process I need to do to update my phone to the latest and not lose all of my stuff and also be able to have it rooted on the latest update. Also a noob question but does it matter what version your on as far as how you root it? I would assume so but I dont know, and to clarify I mean like will only certain methods work on certain firmware versions?
I have a few questions for you? Are using the most up to date faux kernel?
What do you mean by leaving your phone on standby? Screen off and leaving it alone or something else.
Try something for me. Is your phone deep sleeping? Download an app called cpu spy and see if your getting deep sleep? Then report back.

Ok I'm pretty sure my kernel is latest to day. By standby I mean it's on but I don't use it like you first mentioned and the screen is off and I don't do anything with it ever day for around 7 hours. I just downloaded the cpu spy and it says I am not getting deep sleep at all!
For the other post I'm gonna download that and flash it and see if it helps

I downloaded and flashed that at stock update but there is only one problem. All my apps that require root are saying I don't have root access. I dot know what to do but that's the only problem and I need to know if I need to root it again and if so would it be the same method I did on the last firmware version I was on. And also just for more Info I still have cwm recovery too.

Flash the attached file in this post in CWM. This is the method I used when I first tested the H1 leak. You'll have your root access again once you reboot after flashing.

You don't know what u r talking about. The cell standby issue was just an incorrect value that caused it to report higher usage than actual. It had NO effect whatsoever in actual battery usage.

I have an s3, my brother has an s3. Same exact phone. I hadn't updated mine at all, my brothers was up to date. We both go to school and font ever use it because we obviously aren't allowed to and at the end of the day I always have around %40 and he has about %75-80. Please explain to me when it says that, and under battery usage that cell standby used some %80 of my battery drainage that wasn't a cell standby issue.
Different batteries or more likely you have an ap running or poor signal or different settings than him. I have about 5 batteries all stock and some last better than others

I've been sticking with ICS on my at&t s3 since I updated to jellybean on kies and had to revert back via Odin. Reason being is because after I updated my phone kept dropping data and the battery which usually lasted 14 hours lasted only 6 hours.
My question is if the OTA update has fixed any of the bugs. Also, do I really need to update to jellybean? I'm curious on what I'm missing but I am also reading about all of the bugs.
I am full stock ics right now.
Thank you

I had updated via kies and I never experienced the issues you stated. It ran pretty smooth. Battery life didn't seem to be affected to much for me.
Only thing you are really missing out in is Smoother Interface Transitions, Google Now, Improved Voice Search (pretty much comparable to Siri), Improved Notification Bar (with expandable notifications) and some other UI improvements. See this link for more info: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history
Its possible your first upgrade was a bad flash.

Re: Jelluly Bean question
Yeah I thought about that and then my second child was born so everything that wasn't on the main burner got put on hold so I never got back to updating it again truth be told. When I got the pop up from at&t about the OTA I Google searched and found that its about 50/50 for those that have problems and those who don't.
If and when I do update should I factory reset my phone before or after?
Thank you

So far my experience has been similar to yours as for the battery life. I was getting 14+ hours on stock ICS after calibrating but after I tried calibrating Jellybean I maxed out at 6-7 hours.
I heard that there is a bug where if the SD card is installed it drains the battery.
Try removing the sd card and then reflash the Rom and root then calibrate.
Also it might take a clean flash without the sd card in to make the battery better in jelly bean. Wipe data/factory reset and then, if using Odin to flash 4.1.1, enter download mode (volume down + Home button + power button).
To answer your question about the bugs, battery life, no they aren't fixed but they can be worked around. I'm getting 16 hours on jelly bean right now.
Here is a link to the calibration app:

Hey Everyone, this watch has been driving me crazy. When someone calls the watch doesn't notify until after I pick up or after the caller has gone to voicemail.
Tried factory resetting the watch
Tried uninstalling Android Wear
Tried a different watch face
Tried Facer
So far no luck and this has been since day one. Called Huawei and they want me to send it in, thought I would try here and see if there is another solution before doing so. Thanks
I have never had a problem with mine but I read where someone factory reset the phone and it fixed it. I can't post a reference as it was something I read but don't remember where.

Tried that at least 5x and also removed Android wear from my phone. Not a great first impression of Huawei, I have had almost every other Android watch and never had this issue.
Ok you didn't mention it in the OP so I thought it would be worth a shot. If you have factory reset both devices and tried it while the phone was vanilla, then you would want to return it.

The old firmware was no better but I'm willing to give it a try. Are there instructions on how to roll it back?

I know the older version is not better but at least, I don't miss a call phone anymore.

I agree that new Aw provided some issues. Mine HW disconnect from smartphone all the time now after upgrade. It started just after installing updated AW.
