How to partition built in internal memory (not sd card )? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

After knowing abt link2sd app, i am tempted to try it on my mobile. But i am using sony xperia SL which does not support sd card, but it has 32GB built-in internal memory. So my question is, Can i create a 2nd partition (ext2) using CWM Recovery and want to use it with link2sd.
Please help me....
Thanks in advance.

new sd card;)

Hey guys,
I have just bought a new sd card and i just wondered, will i have to reflash the rom when i insert a new sd card, because i have an ext4 partition for my applications.. What is the actual process for applying a new sd card to a custom rom with apps to sd ext4 parition?
Cheers
JD
You can jump into Linux, partition the new card as required, and move the data from your old card's ext partition to the new card's, and all should work well. Alternatively, you can back up all your apps using Titanium Backup, format the new SD card in recovery, boot up, install Titanium, and restore your apps using that.
wich card do you bought? i was actually looking for a 16gb class 4 by Sandisk, with USB reader. price=80 euros with home delivery.
Just bought a class 2 16gb san disk, 34.99 play.com with free delivery,
Cheers prof,
Do I use gparted?
JD
GPartEd will work brilliantly.

Please direct this questions to the general section, developer expertise isn't really required to answer those.

Well, yes, but I assumed that was understood. You need to restore the entirety of the contents of your SD card once partitioned for Titanium Backup to find the backups and restore them.
Understood fine prof

I am sorry if I offended you, it was not my intention at all. It's just that the desire development is getting some momentum and things should be organized a little better in this forum.
And I am using my energy just fine, thank you.

Hi sorry for being a big noob but I really need your help guys. I was having low memory issues on my desire so I sucessfully rooted today. I have a 4gb sd card with a 2gb ext2 partition. But when I install an app it still is on the internal memory! the apps should move to the sd card shouldn't they? What do I need to do for them to move? Please help!! Thanks
I don't think you understand how it works fully. Read the root memory faq available via my signature

[Q] Swap Internal SD With External

PLEASE HELP!!!
I bought a 16GB Galaxy Note 2, i want to swap my internal 16 gb with my 32 gb external,
i found a thread and did that,
now in Storage section my Device Memory shows as 29.xx gb and in my computer's browser my int SD memory shows as Card and my External Class 10 Memory shows as Phone, BUT THE BIG THING IS:
in android's app manager section it's still shows that i have 9.xx GB available for my apps
I flashed my phone with a alpha kernel with init.d support and then i flashed it with a zip that contains the scripts to swap my memories
so for now i use stock samsung firmware with a custom init.d support Kernel
what did i miss ?
PLEASE SOMEONE ASSIST ME WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSED?:crying:
Thank u my beloved developers, i really proud of all of u guys

Hi no one seems to have answered try looking at apps like ROM manager which can partition your SD card to ext2 so apps can be saved on to it.
easier
This method is a lot more safer as it just moves the app data then links it to your internal storage I think this app costs after you move more than three but it is cheap!
http:// https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD
Sorry if this hasn't helped bit if it has give us a thanks
PS
These methods do require root and is impossible to move apps without root!
you need to add a line i build.prop bot i don't know which one :/ Searh a bit in dev thread.
move app
just use Rox Cyanogenmod 10.2 / 11
they have system which can make your device move apps to sd card
or even swap internal sd to external sd(microsd)
