so far so good...
But i already broke the camera app, actually it was the video recording, once i started the stop button is grayed out and non press able. if i press home and go back to camera app its stuck on black video screen.
Ill replicate it a will look for a work around to the best of my knowledge!

Edit: camcorder breaks when trying to refocus while recording (or taking a picture? i don't know what touching the screen does while recording).

Could you share a bit more information, like what makes this rom different then others? What features do you have planned?
For me screenshots are not necessary, because most 5.0 roms look alike.

^This. Can you go in-depth and give us some specifics. I really really like this description but i'm not sure if the tweaks in this ROM is any better than other ROMS. all i'm searching for is a ROM with the best performance tweaks without draining battery.

is LISTVIEW ANIMATION on your plans too? I know it's more on aesthetics as opposed to performance, but it's my favorite feature on MAHDI. So, if you could add that, then great!

Hi guys! I've been using @olvrick's camera from his thread [APP][SENSE][M7]Camera.apk from newest 2.25 base with GIF support and better quality, but it only works on Android 4.2.2, so I made a little repack for 4.3, nothing special.
[highlight]NOTE 1: Camera from FW 3.18 is the same version like the one from FW 3.17.
NOTE 2: There is no camera in FW 3.22 OTA update.[/highlight]

When you click on the thumbnail to review the photo, it shows you last taken one and only details are available.
But when you click back once (just once), you are still in gallery, but this time it has options and you can scroll through photos.
Click back once more and you are back to camera.

Just got back from racing track. Downloading ROM, but I need sleep (cause my vacation is over), so expect my reply tomorrow.
EDIT: ROM already DL'ed, so I had to check it out... Flash Camera_422_on_43_v1-lite.zip and you should get another camera. Don't use full version. With lite none of the original files will be removed, so it would be easy to remove this one if it's not working.

is the full version supposed to have the ISO icon on the main screen and the ability to make the capture button background transparent?

Confirmed that the Camera_422_on_43_v1-lite is working well on the ARHD 21.0

When I flash this camera, whenever I click on the previous taken picture it links me to opening the picture itself and only has "details" as the options unlike before where you could edit/delete/etc. Any idea how to get it to what it was like before?

Thanks for confirmation! Full doesn't make any difference for you cause you are on close-to-stock (look-like-stock) ROM.
As for the question, answer is no, no extra on-screen options, those would be Viper Cam options you are talking about.

Yes, I just noticed it myself. Didn't notice it before, as I don't use it, just take the shots, then later check them through Gallery. Probably broken links between Camera and Gallery, cause of different Android versions.
Solution is to live with it, or flash restore zip from 1st post, until I try to fix it, but I can't promise a fix cause I'm not that skilled (yet)

Before this mod was created I tried flashing the original camera file for 4.2.2 that this mod is based on...camera itself worked with some minor issues, however I did get a force close whenever I tried to view the pictures I had just taken in gallery.
One thing I noticed was it had more on screen options like ISO etc, it also had the ability to make the capture bottons transparent.
Was that original file Viper Cam? If not I'm just curious if maybe those options broke when the mod was created.

Those options you mention are from Viper Camera. I could ask @Turge, @j to the 4n and @hansbert about using their Cam, if there is interest. Well, I just kinda asked them, mentioning their names here.

I'll try, but I can't promise anything, as I don't use GE ROMs and I'm not a developer, just sharing something that worked for me.
If they would allow the use of it that would be amazing! As long as it is based on the new-er build like this one.
I haven't ever used viper Rom nor have I used the cam from it.. so I'm still confused as to how I was able to have the extra settings.... :-\

Hi guys i made this wishlist for Emui 2.
I was a little bit pessimistic about this phone in the beginning but now i like it more and more. I hope that Emui 2 wont dissapoint us.
Here is my list:
- fix night time widget on Me widget, add animation.
- fix music widget on Me widget so that we can access album directly.
- change dropdowm menu look to minimalstic and unicolour
- ...........

1. Delete Emotion ui.
2. AOSP Please.
Because we are getting Kitkat we've got a lot of hope. They would have to remake kernel's and a lot of other files, so they are either going to make all of their mistakes over again or give us an amazing update and a huge performance increase.

Dont see it likely they are going to scrap emotion ui. And many actually prefer it over stock android although im aware there are others who prefer stock.
More compatible suggestion i guess therefore is either providing pure kitkat for download so that those who prefer stock can switch onto it. But than if it was choice between them providing stock android or unlocked rom, which would you prefer ?

Of course they won't scrap Emui. I just meant that there is nothing I can wish from them, their software Developers in my eyes, SUCK.

I personally like Me widget look and i hope it will be more fuctionable on Emui 2.
I would love to have miui look like menu though.
Im not a programmer so i don t know how good or bad the Kernel is

Because I know my stuff, and knew the hardware was the best I am going to get for my budget. ( Nexus 4 not in my country. )
So, I am totally happy with my phone. - Just feel Huawei's hardware is good, but their software is really really crap. ( It has so much potential they just don't care )

Don't like audio output, speakers are ok for odd youtube videos here and there. But I don't use my phone for music so I don't mind too much.

I m using AGK KD518 DJ headphone for HTC Desire x with Beatsaudio and the sound is top notch. Better than most smartphone.
But i don t get the same sound quality on P6. Im little dissapoint.
Hope it will be better with more updates coming, Or maybe move to custom ROM ?

Yes but they still giving some finishing touches because i seen some recent thread on Chinese forum from someone connected to the development team, asking users regarding what they want as the default toggles on Notification panel. So some suggestions like the OP made could be included. But yea its late for other big changes. But on the other hand, them releasing a version need not stop them releasing more like how they release on emui1.6. So they might include it later.

Working here. No issues.
Does this kernel have faux sound support? The DPI on the nav bar is all out of whack. The smaller DPI you set it at, the buttons just stretch side to side. The height of the buttons doesn't change.

Adding Always on display is ridiculous on our phone as the display is not done for it. Ambiant display is already there if you means the screen showing notifications while on black when receiving. For gestures, what do you mean? It has dt2w and that is the only gesture we do have on this device. For ota I already talked about it with him and he don't know if it will come. It is not up to him but it is the rom creator that must do it

Okay... Are you using pixel experience rom if yes will you post to arnova8g2 for portrait mode to work because it has a full hardware support to work. And post him with logcat

Yes I'm on PE since its release. But no need to post anything about portrait mod, Mrhacker seems to have resolved it. So it a question of time for us and hard work for him before we do have it on all the other roms. Wait patiently... Also I don't which bugs you're mentioning. I don't have any. Not apparent at least

all commits are open here and ready for cherry-pick https://github.com/omni-zuk/device_z...0a9787bab45b33 well developers needs to revert this commit because this commit only for omnirom which don;t need project pathmap so reverting it will work for other roms and make hal compatible for other roms without issues.

Prerequisites:
1. The bootloader must be unlocked;
2. TWRP treble supported must be installed;
Installation Procedure:
1. Download Ros TWRP Backup Files.
2. Extract zip to TWRP backup folder (inside serial number folder).
Example: emulated/0/TWRP/BACKUP/[SERIAL No]
3. Reboot to TWRP 3.2.3.
4. Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache, Vendor.
5. Select Restore option in TWRP and search for recently extracted files inside BACKUP/[SERIAL No] folder.
6. Restore the backup
7. Reboot to system
Answers of FAQs :
1. No need to flash any patches separately
2. It takes upto 20 minutes to boot so wait and relax.
3. Magisk is pre installed
4. Don't worry if its lagging, let it settle down, rom will be smooth after a couple of reboots.

FINGERPRINT FAST AF....:good::good::good:
BB cant say that soon....
battery charging speed pretty good....you can say its as good as stock rom....
face unlock....quick....faster than stock rom...
rom is smooth AF....
didnt game....
overall performance.....awesome.....
worth giving a try...
double tap to sleep works..
stable too...absolute daily driver....for MIUI LOVERS...
bugs...
i am facing issues like....when usings full screen gesture.....animations are laggy
and with nav bar its smooth....so not really a deal breaker....but cant be worked on...
double tap to wake doesnt work......
Potrait mode doesnt work...both front and back...
AI mode present but made no difference in picture...
for camera people are already happy with gcams and other mods so doesnt count....as a bug but still
mentioning{yes one simply cant expect all features to be working in a sGSI rom...}
even read mode aint working...but third party apps are present on playstore....
thats pretty much what i faced.../experienced...
a few questions to dev can be...why its from redmi note 4x....whyred also got same specs...
good job dev keep it up...
its simply a super awesome super duper smooth and stable rom...

yeah man people need them...
some do like to see what others experience what they face and based on this they decide
weather to flash it or not...even i was that kind of person but...
time changed it...very few give full review...so i thought if i go out and try them myself it will help others...and the dev himself..
hoping that vignesh keep doing this project...and update it once in a month or 15 days.. which is a good frequency for updatings your builds...
