So I've been trying to install the microsoft analog keyboard on my zenwatch. I've been using usb connection as I cant seem to connect my msi with the watxh via bluetooth.
When I try to install it initially connects with each other but when I try to run:
"adb -s localhost:4444 install com.microsoft.research.analogkeyboard-Signed.apk"
It seems to lose the connection between the watch and pc and I keep getting an error message.
Has anybody had this issue?
The watch has voice recognition. I use it many times daily to reply to texts and perform searches while driving. It's extremely accurate. Only one time did it not pick up exactly what I said. Even in a noisy environment it works flawlessly. No need for a keyboard
Yeah but the problem is that I am from Denmarl and I think my friends and family would find it weird if I began to answer their texts and mails in english ?
Can you install other keyboards like Minuum for example?
Unless you've got more than one device connected to adb at the same time, I think you should remove the "-s localhost:4444". I've been able to install things okay with just "adb install apkname.apk" after connecting the watch via USB (and having no other devices connected).

I just bought Tablet Talk for 2.50 and the only way it works is via WiFi. When I try to use Bluetooth, I get a connection error code 1. Please help me.

If no one knows or replies, you could try contacting the developer. They are meant to be very quick at replying.
Sorry I couldn't help you further.

Make sure. Both devices have their Bluetooth turned on then open tablet talk on both devices and make sure Bluetooth connection is selected. On the phone hit the red Bluetooth button and select enable discovery, on the tablet it should ask u to setup devices and find the phone via Bluetooth
What Rom are you on? You might want to test it using a different Rom. There were a couple of times out there in which Tablet Talk doesn't work.
I am currently running CodeAndroid and both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections work.

I'm on the latest cm10 and I had it working the other day with blue tooth just fine but I can't get it to connect today. I was able to unchecked the option to share Internet over blue tooth before in bt settings but it won't unchecked now. The only consistent connection I have been able to maintain is off the hot spots on my galaxy nexus but it won't reconnect without me manually pushing the connect button. Has been inconsistent for sure but just attribute it to the romantic and flashing nightly.

I ran into this this weekend... I ended up UNpairing through the the bluetooth settings in the ROM itself (not the app) clearing cache / data on tablet talk on both phone and n7, then repairing through the ROM and setting up through the app. Pain in the *** and took me a few tries but now it's working great.
Unpairing and pairing again works for me.
An alternative for the app but works a different way is TabletSMS by koush. I use it more often than tablet talk https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.tabletsms

I can vouch for TabletSMS. It works very well. I also have tablet talk but I use that for car connectivity by tethering it with my phone when in my car. The tether connect is flawless.
Tablet talk working fine for me.
I ran into the same issue
The only way it works for me is to press the connection button on both devices
I haven't found a way to trigger the connection from one device only (CM9 phone / stock JB tablet, bluetooth tethering on)
Email the developer, he helped me out. Awesome service.

For those having a problem with Tablet Talk relating to pairing/connecting your devices, here's a quick fix reply from the developer posted on Androidcentral.
I am the original creator and main developer of Tablet Talk. Someone emailed about this thread, which prompted me to make this account so that I can offer better support and obtain feedback.
First, mrgdr57: the app is for Android tablets and phones. Please send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Refund." Either send it from or provide the email address your order is under so that I can locate and take care of it right away!
Next, if you have not done so already, please install the update which was released very early this morning. It will help with the connection problems.
Regarding port: this setting only affects Wifi.
Wifi
If Wifi is not working, then please do the following:
Change the port to 8080 on both devices. It can be found under "Setup."
Under "Setup" on your tablet, enter your phone's IP address. Your phone's IP is displayed inside the phone app ("Phone IP: 192...."). Almost always the app finds your phone automatically; however, sometimes it is unable to. The tablet app keeps track of each network separately, so you should not have to do this every time.
Bluetooth
Sometime when Bluetooth is not working, a simple restart of either the tablet or phone fixes the problem. Once Bluetooth is setup, it should work without any problems. The previous version appeared to be having Bluetooth problems, and this morning's update (1.5.3) should help with these.
If Bluetooth has not yet worked for you, then uninstall and reinstall the app on both devices to get a fresh start.
When the app first opens, it detects whether you are using a phone or tablet. A popup appears asking you to confirm. Make sure that you confirm the correct device type. You can always change the device type in Tablet Talk's settings ("Misc" in phone, "Appearance & Behavior" in tablet). If you are texting from a Galaxy Player linked to a phone, then you will need to tell the app that the Galaxy Player is a "tablet." Also, if your phone is a Galaxy Note, the app might think it's a tablet, so be sure to identify it as a phone.
The standard solution for when Bluetooth setup is not working is to do the following:
Open Android's Bluetooth settings on both devices. If they are already paired, unpair your phone and tablet from each other.
Toggle Bluetooth off and then back on (both devices).
Pair your phone and tablet within Android's Bluetooth settings.
Phone: open Tablet Talk and press the connect button. If it asks you to enable discovery, press accept.
Tablet: open Tablet Talk and press the connect button.
Quick & Automatic Connecting
Once Tablet Talk is setup, connecting can be made much quicker and automatic for future use. Check out the Automatic Settings on both devices for the options. There is also a widget. You can tailor it to your specific needs.
Also, whenever you connect, the app will sync any newly sent or received messages on your phone from the last use.
Example configuration: When you get home from work, simply enable Wifi or Bluetooth on your phone, and then turn on your tablet. The app will take care of the rest. Automatic settings:
Tablet: auto start when app opens. Auto enable Wifi or Bluetooth.
Phone: auto start when Wifi or Bluetooth is enabled.
I will be subscribed to this thread and try to reply to new posts as often and quickly as possible. You can also email [email protected]. Feel free to send questions, feature requests, comments, etc. Feedback--good and bad--is always appreciated!

I managed to get it working by creating an ugly workaround with tasker: my tablet sends a connection request (via the autoremote plugin) to the phone who launches tablettalk (with auto-connect at startup turned on) and then the tablet launche tablettalk too with the same autoconnect option. As the two devices are trying to connect simultaneously, the connection is established correctly. That's the only way I found to get a connection (other than manually pressing 'connect' on both two devices)
contact names not consistent between phone and tablet.
This may sound strange but when I send a message on my phone and a tablet syncs, the contact name on the tablet does not match the contact name on the phone. The phone shows the name, but the tablet just shows the phone number and also when I have two people with the same last name in my contacts the phone shows the correct name but the tablet shows the other person's name, even though the phone's contact list contains completely different different information for each of the contacts

Had some conflicting issues in my contact list. Solved most.
Ive done some searching, and come to the conclusion that something exists that does what I want, but it's either so obscure or so commonly known, that the search terms I'm using won't ever work (phone over usb, control android from pc, use android phone on pc.) Does anyone know of an application I can download that would let me take calls from my pc, over usb?
My searches are pulling up things like media sync tools and trivial sms apps.

Use Google Voice on PC to txt, and Google Talk plugin to make calls on PC. No phones required.
The desire and intent here is to use the phone - I'm well aware of Google Voice and Skype, et al. What I'm wanting to do is to use my existing phone, and make calls over it from my PC. I appreciate the effort, though - I do use Google Voice for my voicemail and for alternate local numbers for my phone.
orrrr, scratch that, I see what you're saying now. http://www.google.com/chat/voice/#utm_campaign=en_US&utm_medium=homepage&utm_source=en_US-gizmo5 - this would probably be the best option since I'm using my usb to tether in the first place. Thanks for the suggestions!
Hey everyone,
I read through the big thread in this forum about trying to unlock the bootloader, but I didn't see anything that answered my question. I am currently creating an app, and according to the Google Developer site (http://developer.android.com/training/wearables/apps/creating.html), I need to plug the watch into my computer and set USB debugging. The obvious problem is that there is no USB debugging on the Moto 360. So my question is this: Is it possible for me to debug my application on my Moto 360 vs the Android Wear emulator? Or is it a situation where I would need to generate a final apk, put it on my phone, and have it install the wearable part automatically in order to test it? (That last part is how applications are installed onto the watch from apps in the Play Store). Any help would be appreciated, as the emulator is really annoying to use . Thanks.
You can connect to the watch using bluetooth debugging. I've messed with it a little. It's actually pretty easy.
https://developer.android.com/training/wearables/apps/bt-debugging.html
The downsides I experienced were that you couldn't do anything in the recovery or bootloader via the bluetoothed adb, which was the outcome I was expecting.

Do this
adb forward tcp:4444 localabstract:/adb-hub;
then
adb connect localhost:4444
instead of all at once... I wasted too much time because i tried to run the whole command together...
Offline
I've spent a lot of time these past few days trying to figure out how Bluetooth ADB is supposed to work.
I've turned on debugging on my watch, and on my tablet. The companion app has debugging enabled. I type in the same console messages.
I get
List of devices attached
08f2a262 device
localhost:4444 offline
And I can't figure out how to make it online. The companion app agrees that the host is connected but the target is disconnected.
I don't think a tablet is going to cut it here
Has anyone successfully got bluetooth debugging to work? My girlfriend bought the G Watch and I bought the 360 today from BestBuy. I was looking into the Minuum keyboard for our watches and so I downloaded the wear version of the app, set up debugging on her watch, pushed and activated the keyboard on her phone, installed Wear Messenger, and voila, it works flawlessly. Granted, I followed the adb instructions listed on the XDA forum post on how to install it. Also, when I was following the instructions to install it on her watch, her phone popped up the "allow adb device" message and I pressed trust. This did not show up when I was doing anything on mine.
However, when I tried to do this with my 360, I had no luck whatsoever. I could not get adb to recognize the watch for the life of me. The G Watch showed up right away under Device Manager, but I couldn't find my 360 anywhere.
I enabled the USB/ADB debugging under the watches, then enabled Bluetooth debugging, then USB debugging on my phone.
It's weird cause when I plugged her watch in, Windows searched and found the drivers right away, but when I plugged mine in, nothing happened (probably because the G Watch has the pogo pins and the 360 has inductive charging).
Basically, I'm just wondering if anyone has successfully found a way to get the 360 connected via adb and actually have it be recognized and showing up as connected when typing in "adb devices".
Follow the instruction found here https://developer.android.com/training/wearables/apps/bt-debugging.html.
I used these same instructions just fine.

Trust me, I did. And I couldn't get the host to connect for the life of me. It worked fine on her G Watch, but not my 360.

I finally got it last night. For one, my dumb ass never plugged in my phone like I should have so the watch could communicate with the phone. Second, if you use "localhost:4444", you have to put "adb -s localhost:4444" then whatever you want to do.
For me, I installed GLTron to my 360. What I did, was after everything was connected (host and target), I typed in "adb -s localhost:4444 install gltron.apk".
Hope this helps.
Strange issue but i am having issues with Bluetooth connectivity. I don't use bluetooth a lot but occasionally i will use it to transfer a picture from my computer to my phone.
It has worked once or twice but for the most part i keep getting...... "Failed to establish connection" ??
It often asks me to allow bluetooth tethering (no idea why as i have never had to do that before) but even if i do allow it, it makes no difference. Its like it connects as soon as i am about to send the file and then disconnects the second i hit send.
Interestingly i had had this issue before on previous Samsung device but never figured it out either. Whenever i get a new device i always disable a few apps that i don't need/use and i am wondering if maybe i am the cause of the problem! In saying that though. I don't seem to have anything disabled that would interfere with bluetooth and there has been the odd time when it has worked so i cant figure it out!
Any thoughts?

Always figured this was a Windows issue. Had the same problem with my Note 9. Bluetooth setup has both devices connect, but then it automatically disconnects on the phone right after. Trying to send a file to the computer results in an error even though if I try the opposite and send a file to the phone, it works. I tried again when I got my Note 10+ and same result. I used to use bluetooth to stream music to my PC speakers but since maybe around Windows 8.1, I've heard they removed that feature and i figure this is the result of that.
restricted file type? send from sd card?
