lg g3 d855 is frozen on boot screen.
i tried to use the official lg mobile support tool but it keeps saying that the phone is not connected to pc.
when i try to use the other flash tool from this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647
i cant get the driver to load on to two of the windows laptops i used.
i tried all three lgunitedmobiledriver ver 3.11 ver 3.10 ver 3.12 from lg.
i just cant get the COM & LPT ports to show.
i have tried manually adding com ports through windows using Hdwwiz and do get com port but not LGE mobile usb serial port.
what else can i try? how is a person supposed fix their phone when a problem like this happens. i only have one windows netbook that i spent 5 hours yesterday and today tried it on a friends laptop but still the same result.

You need to put your phone into download mode, once there, plug it into the computer. From there you should be able to flash.
If not then, see below.
I had the same issue, couldn't get past bootscreen, and downloadmode wasen't available for me either. I had to send it back to get repaired, they replaced the motherboard which gave me a new imei.

You tried installing the lg PC suite drivers come with it can't think why they wouldn't work.
Edit try the guide in the general section about going back to stock worked for me when I had a soft brick -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089

yes i tried those drivers and they dont show up on device manager.
would the problem be at the charging port? as no connection to the computer caused by a faulty usb port not working?
is their any way for me to check if that is the case?

when i powered down my phone and went to turn it on i got pushed into fastboot hours i spent banging my head against my desk trying to get past this step... because recovery mode was gone and download was broken so i found a thread about flashing the laf file and bam download mode is now fixed.. great! but now no matter what i do my computer wont locate the drivers for me to try and connect to it and use lg flash tool or even lg's recovery tool i have unistalled re installed lgs united drivers over and over again on 2 different computers trying to get them to read the phone
i've tried going into device manager and pointing them to the lg folder nothing... i've been searching google trying to find an answer and found nothing that seems to help..
so if anyone has any ideas that would be helpful i would be really greatfull

The phone doesn't show up as a comport is the problem it shows up under other devices if I remember correctly with yellow exclamation marks. And I can't figure out how to get the drivers to read it
I've uninstalled them reinstalled them countless numbers of times I tried another computer different usb ports
I tried pointing the drivers to the LG folder and still, nothing

did you try the tmobile drivers? (after you install that, then go to the devices with the yellow and update drivers automatically, it should work
So....... my LG G3 had a new OTA update for T-Mobile and I was an idiot to download and install the Update(YES I WAS REALLY DUMB TO DO THAT). So when my phone restarted, it automatically went to TWRP and I couldn't boot to system. I tried everything from hard reset to fiddling with the settings. When I attempted to turn on my phone, it wouldn't turn on even with charging the phone, using the buttons, and especially when I plug my phone into my computer. It gives me Code Error 43( Unrecognized USB Device) and now I'm in a hellhole attempting to fix this device by tomorrow. I need help ASAP before I lose my mind
P.S I'm rooted with Purple Drake and using ZoneROM
Can you boot into Download mode ? (Device turned down hold Vol Up then plug in to pc)
Nope. Can't even turn on the device and keeps on saying error 43. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME OUT OF THIS NIGHTMARE

Try to plug it on another usb port. And when you try to boot into download mode nothing happens ?
Yep! For two hours straight and I have all the drivers downloaded. Drivers worked perfectly until it turned off.......
I hope it turns on before tomorrow. Keeping my head up until it is fixed
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...cognised/6a2a5531-8b80-4798-9aa6-ee2dcb705c7f
and if that doesn't help try to uninstall that Unknown Device from your device tree in Device Manager and install the drivers again.
That didn't work either. I believe its my LG G3 because I was fiddling with the "SD Card Partition" and it had an System Fat32 error and it shut my phone off completely and now it won't turn on after that. Is there a way to reset or reverse my Partition settings?
Update: The phone is charging on my portable charger but won't turn on nor connecting via Windows 8.1
I found the problem. After doing some research, my phone is being half brick and im using Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(COM3) but I don't know how to push files or how to use qhsusb_dload on the LG G3. PLEASE HELP ME

I've never seen a device that doesn't boot into Download Mode.
So you're doing everything exactly like this man does and on 0:25 you can't see that Download Mode icon ?
Nope not working at all, either its trolling me or its officially dead. It just says im still ported into Qualcomm on my screen instead of download mode
Please help guys, I really need help before tomorrow. No boot, no screen,no download mode, no usb connected except for qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 (com3) and can not use lgflashtool. Does this means its a hardbrick and I can't do anything to unbrick this device and I need to call T-Mobile for another phone or can the dev gods help me fix this phone problems soon. Please answer asap
U said, u fiddle with the sd card partition which I think shouldn't do... Best option is to take back for a replacement or repair my friend...
Thats the only option? I heard there is another way to reset it

Put the phone into download mode, go into device manager, ports(COM), you should see LGE then right click on properties, Port settings, advanced, then change COM port 41.then click ok and you should be fine.

It has to be similar to this but I dont think the LG G2 variant would work on this and forgot to mention the usb is called qhsusb_bulk
I've got an LG G3 by US Cellular (US990) that I'm trying to downgrade using LG Flash Tool. The problem is that it's not being recognized by Flash Tool or by LG PC Suite for some reason. When I plug it in in normal Android it recognizes it whether it be charging, MTP or PTP. But when I go into download mode these programs do not recognize it and so I can't flash anything. Anyone had any similar problems or anything I can try? I have installed the drivers multiple times and I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

I followed the instructions to the T. I installed the drivers, changed theport to COM41 on the LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port, downloaded the stock rom and DLL and everything is fine until i unplug then plug back in. Nothing happens. No Waiting for Connection message, nothing. Trying to fix a boot loop!
Tried doing the KDZ method, errors out at 4% and now I'm without a phone unless I can figure this issue out. No flashing is working what so ever.
What carrier are you on?
It's a Sprint variant.
I have the Sprint and it wasn't working because I had pressed Upgrade DL and not Board DL. Try that otherwise I don't know what's wrong.

Already tried that.
Does it go to the firmware update screen?

Make sure that your com port is still set at 41. When I had this issue I fixed it by going into device manager while LG flashtool was running (after plugging the micro usb back in to my phone) and changing the com port to any other port then right back to 41 and the flash tool started working. I don't know if it will help or not, but it worked for me.
Are you using windows 8? If so you need to disable driver signature enforcement ( can't post links, but google it ). Or like i did use a computer with windows 7 .
I had windows 8 and it worked just fine.

Hope you got your issue fixed mate! If not.. while the phone is in Download mode, restart your pc with the phone plugged into the computer.. after your computer reboots, reinstall all drivers and adjust the port to COM41 under Device Manager.. then run the LG Flash Tool again.. It's just a simple but very annoying connection problem... Good luck :good:
I'm in a bit of a pickle...
Phone is dead, I'm unable to wake it using any method, however PC sees the device being connected. I have tried to restore TWRP backup which was completed correctly but then phone stuck and failed to wake up again. I have tried to unbrick it using the LG flash tool and dll +tot files however this method fails each time -with factory model check error - and download fail notification. Right now im waiting for kdz file to download (im using the tool checking my imei to select correct one) but it takes ages with my internet.
Anyone has any ideas? Am i doomed?
Hi
Happened to me also. I got out of it by using LG flash tool and clicking on options and selecting restore recovery. It puts it back to stock and you then need to reroot etc.

Options? On mainstream there isn't any. Is it on the 2nd screen after adding the kdz?
Current progress
Phone:
No download mode
No boot on the phone
Device acts dead - only visible on my pc (serial port LGE)
PID and IMEI not available to read using LG flash tool 2014
Tried
Loading KDZ file - connection failed
using tot and dll with flash tool - Failed to connect to device
Read something about laf.img using adb... Anyone has any other ideas? Funny enough when I was searching forums I was not able to find more info about cases when device is not waking up at all. but now i see few very similar threads around? Possible flaw somewhere?

It might be the PC (work pc at the moment and some IT limitations on it) however drivers installed ok, software confirms that I have latest software on my device - when phone is connected to the pc. After running Recovery Upgreade, it gets problem with comunication between the pc and mobile. in troubleshooting asks to power on the mobile (which I cannot do) before retrying. Also I have installed LG usb driver from outside as options coming with this software seem to be for really old models?
A thing I tried with another G3 was to connect the phone to the PC without the battery and then insert the battery, disconnect from phone and then remove battery again then insert and hold volume up and connect the USB to the phone again and it went into download mode and allowed the use of LG support tool as before.
Its worth a try!!

No dice... so far. I'm back home in 2 days when i can try all of this again making sure that PC is not restricted from any functionality... although it does sucks to not to have a phone until then. If you get any ideas I'm happy to try it as well.. as not like i have anything to lose at this point.
