I unfortinately formated system in clockworkmod touch recovery. Afterwards phone gets stuck at sony logo when i power on the phone. Am able to boot into fastboot and flashmode using key combinations but cant enter into the clockworkmod with key combinations as i used to do before the system format. However, i unlocked my bootloader and rooted the device before i had this problem. As a result, am not able to get sony pc companion to repair my phone. I tried flashtool but then upon flashing, it asks me to enable usb debug mode and am not able to enable debud mode since the phone doesnt boot past the sony logo.
I will appreaciate it greatly if anyobe can help me get my cute phone out of this situation
Am on android 4.0.4

Just hold volup+voldown+power until you feel 3 vibrations. Then connect your phone to your computer via usb while holding voldown.
Hi,
My phone is stuck at sony logo, after install a custom rom (RomAur). I have locked BL, and I put my phone into fastboot mode and im tryng to fix it with flashtool (pc recognize the phone). Can I flash a rom in fastboot? it doesn´t work into flashmode. Any help? (As you can see im new in this topics...)
Did you try download stock ftf - run flashtool - choose the ftf, when ask for the phone ... push the off button for 5s (behind the phone next to sd slot), then put the phone in flash mode (vol. down) - connect your usb, phone should flash.

Every ZL/Z is meant to work in Flash Mode, just reset the phone by holding the OFF button on the back panel where the SD-card and SIM card are placed. Disconnect your phone from the computer, hold the OFF button until it vibrates THREE times (hold it for 3 seconds it vibrates twice (hard restart), hold for 5 it vibrates thrice(forced flashmode)) soon after plug in the phone into your computer (along with the proper drivers installed from Flashtool in (or wherever you installed it) C:/FlashTools/Drivers (these drivers are SOE-blah, ADB, and fast boot mainly located at the bottom.) Once you've accomplished this, head on over to the Android Development section download a FTF file and restore. If you wish to keep all your data try reinstalling RomAur with proper installation instructions, due to my lack of experience with that rom I cannot give you the best advice other than if you have CWM installed it's an option to constantly flash other roms/zips to possibly fix your scenario. Good luck!
I'll give you more details now, about my problem.
1.- My phone was OK (rooted and with CWM) running Hackit custom rom.
2.- I install RomAur, then on reboot the phone got stuck on sony logo (it means, sony logo, and then reboot, sony logo and then reboot, infinite loop). Pressing OFF button (back next to the SD) it restarts the phone but the infinite loop continues.
3.- I installed flashtool (drivers, etc)
4.- I run the phone and then pressing VOL DOWN and plugin the usb cable at the same time it puts on yellow light (i dont know what mode it is). Infinite loops stops, phone is off and battery charging icon is displayed.
5.- On yellow light then i disconnect the phone and then pressing VOL DOWN and reconnecting flashtool recognize it ("28/024/2013 20:24:13 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode"). No light on the phone. If i do the same but with VOL UP it runs fastboot (blue light).
6.-On flashmode, I press the flash device button (black beam icon), it ask for mode, i choose flashmode. Then i select the ftf. and flashtool displays
28/043/2013 20:43:29 - INFO - Preparing files for flashing
28/044/2013 20:44:07 - INFO - Device disconnected
And the infinite loop returns...
If i pressthe powe off button nothing happens, it vibrates only one time, every restart on the loop
HELP! and thanks for your answers
From your comments, get to your step 5. Meaning get your phone off. Run flashtool choose stock ftf when it asked for the phone. Holding Vol.Down plug in usb - this should reset your phone and get you going.

Phone with official rom , never isntalled CWM or any unofficial stuff. It boots ok to standard mode but not any other mode. I have tried in two different pcs with Windows XP and Windows 8. Phone doesn't even seem to try to boot in those modes, is not like the PC isn't detecting it.
I'm totally lost on how to recover the flashmode functionality to be able to unlck bootloader and install CM, any help will be welcome.

You must be doing something wrong.
Flashmode - turn the phone off, connect USB cable to PC, hold down Back button, connect USB cable to the phone. Green LED should light up, then phone is in flashmode.
Fastboot mode - turn the phone off, connect USB cable to PC, hold down Menu/Option button, connect USB cable to the phone. Blue LED should light up, then phone is in fastboot mode.
Nah, it didn't worked. I got it to still a recovery with X-parts app. Booted to the recovery, wiped everything, did a factory restore, since that moment it won't boot at all, Sony logo and it won't power off without taking off the battery. Of course, still won't enter flashmode or flashboot.

Did you install the drivers for it? If you want to use either flashtool or fastboot you need to install these programs along with the drivers. Also, ignore the prompt by Sony PC Companion when prompted. If you can boot into ROM, check that USB debugging is enabled.

Drivers installed, USB debugging enabled, tried on two diferent computers.
I have some experience not only in flashing roms but also in rom cooking, kernel compilation, etc... and after all day I couldn't get it to go to flashmode. My girlfriend -she is the owner of the phone- remembered me we already have problems being unabled to access flasmode when she bought the phone and wanted to update it with sony software, so I finally took it to the shop so they can send it to repair service.
Thanks guys for your prompt replies.
This is to clarify my problem. Sorry if I post too much... Sorry.
I have an Arc S LT18i.
12W45.
My device boots into normal mode powering on. It can be detected by Sony PC Companion.
I accidentally put the Arc's (LT15i) "TA" onto my Arc S by Octoplus Suite. After that. I can't enter flashmode nor fastboot and there is NO 3G Signals in the phone. But in my Flashtool. Rebooting it into fastboot via adb. Works. I can boot to fastboot via adb mode but when I try pressing the Menu Button while connecting it to a PC it doesen't boot into fastboot. But when i try it via adb mode it boots. I tried all buttons for Flashmode and Fastboot and it doesen't work, this happened after I accidentally put the Arc's (LT15i) "TA" onto my Arc S by Octoplus Suite. Is there anyway I could fix this? CAN I BOOT INTO FLASHMODE BY ADB LIKE FASTBOOT? Please I really need your help. How can I reflash it? CAN I REFLASH using testpoint??? I know that 12W45 is not supported in testpoint by Unlocking or repairing IMEI. BUT IN REFLASHING OR REPAIRING TA will it work. Please help me I beg you guys. Please! Sorry...:crying::crying::crying: i'm just a starter...
If you tried everything and it doesn't work, the only way is to bring it to the repair center...

If the phone can be detected by PC Companion (as you mentioned) you should be able to do a reset from there, believe it's done through "Support Zone" which should be the first option and it will wipe all data on your phone.
Accidentally flashed a bad file and now it won't get past the sony logo.
Recovery is completely dead, Xperia companion doesn't continue when plugged in it just reboots, and Windows doesn't see it at all in fastboot mode (nothing in device manager - normally there should be something in "Other Devices" but it's not there)
Is there a way out of this?
did u get past it? just did the same thing.. trying to install AsteroidOS
