You are trying to flash the International Galaxy S3 9300 firmware which could brick your phone .
Start all over again and this time odin flash the Tmobile T999 stock-rooted firmware.
Here is the download link for it: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390169635556426451
This stock firmware is pre-rooted, so no need to root.
Good Luck!
still doesnt work

Try a different computer. I had to try 3 different ones until it was my daughter's laptop that finally worked. 2 computers running win7, one running vista. The laptop was running win 7.

I'm sure flashing the i9300 stock rom on a T999 isn't going to do anything helpful.
I'm sure if you send it in to these guys (link below) they'd be able to fix it. I'd rather pay $60-$100 to fix my phone than buy a new one or pay what Samsung would charge to fix it (if they would).

No when I flash the PIT file I use the PIT box should I use the PDA??
Why are you flashing a PIT file? Stop.
Stop trying to flash and international rom on your tmobile gs3. Flash the tmobile version

When it ask for the Pit file you have to use the PIT file for the t999 and also use the PDA file at the same time.
Don't use the PIT file by itself.

There is no need for a separate pit file. Just the Odin .tar package. Please don't suggest this. I have odined this phone countless tines and I only use the .tar file for original stock image. I've never used a separate pit file nor have seen anyone here suggest it or post it in any tutorials.

Sooner or later most likely sooner you will have hard bricked your phone
by trying to flash 9300 firmware into a t999 phone.
You need to delete all the 9300 files from your computer and
from your phone which you may have already downloaded.
Only use T999 roms, firmware, mods or any other device
specific apps and software.
What you need to do is to find the correct PIT file for your T999 Tmobile phone
and odin flash it in the PIT slot not PDA. I am certain it's here on XDA but I don't
have the time to look for it, that's something you need to do.
Only the proper PIT file will solve the problem you are having.
The PIT file will re-map your partitions so the phone will be able to
accept the odin flash stock firmware successfully.
Anything else will give you even more problems or a bricked phone.
You already messed up the partition tables on your phone already you are only
about one step away from bricking the phone.

Note 2 GT-N7100 bricked? (need help)

It's not my phone but I'm trying to help a friend out (mostly for the learning experience)
It is a GT-N7100 international version (that he was using on an AT&T network that seems to be bricked.
phone details
According to him it just got stuck on the boot screen one day. (after 7 months of use that he had no issues with prior) He does not know about phones or rooting or anything. As far as he knows it was running the stock rom and if it was rooted it wasn't by him.
It will not go into recovery mode.
It will go into Download mode.
Odin fails to reflash bootload, CSC, modem, and code.
on boot is always stuck on Startup screen.
where do I even start on this?
Wrong forum
If it goes to the start up screen chances are it isn't bricked..
When it won't turn on or do anything I'd when you should be worried.
I bet you're doing something wrong when trying to get into download mode

it goes into download mode, but after that I can't tell if the actual phone is doing anything.
normally when you are attempting to flash there is a bar on the phone that shows progress. there is no bar with this phone.
when it fails i get this message:

[Q] Possible Soft brick, need help!

Hi Everyone,
I have been going through all i can find in the forums since the 28th of November, but with no clear answers i am now requesting any help with my situation.
I have with me an International N7100 from Singapore that belongs to a friend. He had given it to someone to upgrade the firmware after which the phone does not start and is stuck on the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen
Status of the phone :
- Connecting to charger or USB brings the screen "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & Try Again" with the yellow trianlge and phone on left side and pc on right side logo
- I cannot boot to recovery
- I can boot into download mode
On Odin mode it says:
ODIN MODE
Product Name : GT-N7100
Custom Binary Download : Yes (11counts)
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Official
The phone is succesfully detected on odin.
Odin History so far:
- I am able to successfully flash CWM / TWRP / MJ5BLPatch/ Philz Touch/ Kasha Malaga and any other recoveries. Odin show success - but after flashing, its back to the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" message and does not go further. I have also tried skipping the auto reboot and trying to remove the battery and getting into recovery but it just shows ""Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen.
- I have tried flashing 2 pit files - PIT_N7100_16GB_20121102.zip and t03g_0907.pit but both fail with the error message "There is no PIT partition" - This is also why i cannot try the pit+stock rom flashing options i read about on other threads
- I tried Flashing bootloaders from Dr. Ketan's thread both versions fail in ODIN after sboot.bin step. So no success there.

Thank you!
I'm in the same situation described by the OP. Any help?
Hi, have you tried emergency update via kies ? (If that's what its called anyway).
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
-connect your phone to PC
-Open Kies and go to emergency firmware recover and do as per instruction.
thats all.
