NF9 firmware.
I can send out MMS without issue.
When others send me MMS, I receive a SMS saying "non-text content".
When I send picture MMS to my self, I can receive the picture.
Anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.
Edit: issue fixed, mod can delete this thread.

You must turn on the internet, turn off firewall, and tune your phone.

You need to have a data plan (not wifi) to send MMS.
Are you on a custom ROM? You might need to mess with the APN settings:

Yea I do with WiFi turned on, connected or not. One guy reported a fix that worked for him but not for me. Connect to WiFi send a picture through Gmail to that same Gmail. Once you receive it should be able to send and receive mms over WiFi. Like I said didn't work for me on aokp, don't know about stock ics.
android does
I know there's a couple different uncompressed Mms, but, is there any chance someone can make it an option to enable or disable it in mms options? I'm asking because the common issue, some people can't receive uncompressed Mms and have a tiny max receive size. So that would mean having to put stock mms back every time you want to send someone else an image..

Does anyone else use Handcent for text messages? For me receiving and sending mms text don't work for me. Ot worked at one point but not anymore. Tries to switch back to stock and it doesn't work either. Check apn settings and it seems fine. Anyone else have any more ideas?
