Hello all,
I disovered an very annoying behaivour of droidwear,
Whenever I start to play any music with poweramp my watch automatically opens an persistent notification card wich cant be disabled aslong the music is running....
As there is an way more usefull tool for wear use with poweramp player I desperatly need to kill this ****ty googleplaymusic card!
And I know this question belongs not into the wear.forzms but its essentially the same problem on my Z2 lockscreen, I have my beautifull poweramp lockscreenwidget set up, but as soon as some music is played the damn ****ing ugly stock widged appears on the first place on lockscreen..... I could vomit from this ****!
Playmusic and walkmanapp are completely deleted with titaniumbackup, how does this crap manage to still go on my balls? (wakmen only one of 3 apps is deleted the othet walkmen pieces are frozen why do those *****es still annoy me?)

i think its time to discuss.
whenever i play music in sense or touch flo music tab and when i press stop;then i go to another tab then switch to music tab annd press play;what happen?
this **** audio manager search music everytime.....
is it as default or bugs?
how can i get rid of this big mess?
same bug for me,
maybe a sense 2.5 problem...
this happen even in stock rom
this isn't a bug...but a feature.
the sense music tab recognize for new songs every time you are on it.
hi,
since monday i have a i9000 and it is always the same problem.
i start the mp3 player
play some tracks
press on pause to get a coffe or talk to people
and if i finally want to continue playback, mp3 player is gone.
i love the lockscreen feature of this player but if i have to do recreate my
playlist and last song every time i want to hear music, i will get crazy.
as you can imagine i could not find anything helpful here or in any other forum.
maybe i just chose the wrong words to search for.
can anybody give me a hint how to prevent killing, or a alternative to the SGS mp3-player that also has lockscreen integration?
thanks
bennson
the device uses the latest stock-firmware by samsung including samsung task manager
Humm.. when you press "pause" and do other things, it's gone.
Well, it's not a bug, it's a feature ^^
If you want to try other players *with* lockscreen widget, I used some like :
- WinAmp :
http://www.appbrain.com/app/winamp/com.nullsoft.winamp
- Music Mod + Music Mod Lock Screen
http://www.appbrain.com/app/music-mod-(froyo-only)/com.piratemedia.musicmod
http://www.appbrain.com/app/music-mod-lock-screen/com.omeudroid.musicmodlockscreen
thank you for these hints on alternative players. i will try.
i do not agree that pause means that the player is not needet anymore. i would agree if i'd press a stop-button and it would then exit after a while and not save it's current status. but on pause?
just imagine your "real" cd-player would just shut down after a couple of minutes when you press pause?
yes, in the way that the process manager looks at this process and sees it is not active it is ok to send term after a while.
but this is a case of "works as designed but not as expected".
edit: i think a well designed mp3-player such as winamp would know about androids process management and autosave current playlist and song...
my conclusion: it's a pity that samsung did such a nice looking player with that awesome lockscreen-integration and forgot to add one this absolutely common feature.
Yeah, this problem is very prominent on 2.2, but after I started using 2.2.1, I haven't had the problem. So they did some fixing there
Now I can pause it to take a coffee and resume afterwards.
thank you very much mstrandbo. this was it.
i am on 2.2.1 (XXJPY) now and there is a mp3-player-core service running. this keeps the current state of playback.
I have a problem with Google Play Music app. When I'm listening music and go to home or any other app and I come back to the music app it doesn't show the album picture nor the minute of the playing song.
Also sometimes it also stops playing music and the lockscreen widget starts blinking
I have this issue too but it doesn't bother me as much. For the alb um cover simply hit the back button and you're good to go. For the lockscreen flashing, turn off the display and turn it back on.
Yes, these issues are easily solved unlocking the device and that's all. But I think is something related with 4.2.1, I don't remember these issues with 4.1.2..
Am I the only one that sees glitches EVERYWHERE in the Google Play Music app? For an example, clicking on the Search button, the search icon stays at he same place, when the second search icon reaches the left side of the search area, the right search icon then disappears. did I mention how laggy the animation is?
Clicking on the Thumbs up button has like 2 FPS animation.
Navigating the lists, for an example from albums to playlists is glitchy.
Browsing somewhere then clicking on a song to play it basically is so glitchy and slow that it hurts my eyes.
I didn't notice the issue with the search icon before, but now I've seen it lol. The app in general is extremely laggy even here on Gnex. I don't have to mention how it was in my previous Xperia Neo...
I'm experiencing the same since 4.2.1, music stops randomly (not only on google music, poweramp and musicxmatch also) and the lockscreen widgets blinks
There are so many small things in the Google Play music, that it makes me believe that Google doesn't even use it themselves. Like Mark Zuckerberg forced his employees to use their Android app to realize how bad it was.
How the heck can a music player (which isn't a rocket science like simulation or an emulator or a game like Shadowgun) to lag in the UI? Every single animation in the app is laggy. Literally. Please, i dare you to find somewhere in the app that isn't glitchy. If I worked at Google, I couldn't sleep at night because I have shipped this app in this state to the Play store.
Did I mention the UI and the background? What's up with that blueish thingy that is the wallpaper. Looks so amateurish.
Also did I mention the fade in animation when you scroll down or up in lists like Recent or albums? Why put this transition effect even if it severely downgrades the performance? Just try to scroll when you have a lot of music. A nightmare.
I have started to realize that Google is treating us Nexus owners like labrats. Sad truth.
Just look at the Android 4.2 update. Not a word from Google about all these problems, that probably affected all the Galaxy nexus owners. Not a single word to Google's most loyal customers.
The truth is that 4.2 came with several new things but is not optimized and is very laggy. I had to flash CM10.1 because the stock rom wich always worked smoothly started freezing suddenly. It came to the point when something so simple like writting with the keyboard froze the phone for a while.
The best version i've seen on our phones is the 4.1.2 and i doubt Google will make it better.

It happens to me too. Have you installed custom music player like cm9 music player or apollo music player?
It happened to me on stock 4.2.1 and now also on CM 10.1 (wich includes Apollo)

I get those same issues when I use CM9 Music player and I don't mean the apollo.
So that's why I use all the time CM9 music player..
If you delete every custom music player including apollo player and then wipe cache and dalvik cache. Then Google play music player will work without any issues..

I am not seeing any issues with the google Music app other than what the OP is describing. mine doesn't lag when scrolling long lists or loading album art. i was scrolling as fast as possible and the album art was keeping right up with me. also no slow/buggy animations anywhere. maybe your app needs the data cleared or something?
as for the blue background.....yes, this needs to be updated for sure. the music app needs to be re-done ASAP to the more holo style....google themselves provided guidelines for designing apps, why not use them on their own apps?

Could you please record your phone and showing off Google Music? I want to know how your animations are.
Do we know if this is a problem with CM specifically or simply the GMusic app being buggy? I have significant issues on my Gnex with Google Play Music, lots of freezing, problems with widgets not responding, and even flickering on the lock screen.
I recently did a clean install of MOAR v8.0 from v6.1 and have noticed that all the System .ui sounds ( .ogg ) are in the music folder in the My Files app., which means that they are also sent to the Music Player app. So when I was driving home yesterday and streaming the music through BT, all the system sounds like Alert_on_call.....Cam_Stop and all the others....plus all the sucky music like Birdsong, Fairy Fountain and such will start playing.
I have tried to delete them from the Music Player and the My Files apps, but they will not delete. I have also tried to move the files from the My File app to another folder, but they will still remain in the Music File.
Also, in the Astro File Manager, when I select the Music folder....none of the system files show up.
I have read and searched through the MOAR thread, but can't find an answer and I can't post there asking this, but How do I move the sound files ( .ogg ) so that they will not play in the Music Player app?
Well after 3 more downloads and clean installs.....it seemed to work itself out....I do still have the 'hangout' sounds in there. I can deal wit that for now though. :cyclops:

If you download a music player from play store like poweramp etc you can specify your music folders to play from and then you wont get system sounds

Yeah hangouts itself puts it in there, not much you can do about that
If you delete it, it will just keep coming back, but you can make a ".nomedia" file in there (without quotes of course) and it won't show up when you go to play your music (basically tells the media scanner to skip that folder)

Yea....I tried several different players but they all played the System Sounds. I did move my playlist to the external card and n7 player worked fine. Thanks

Haha....I didn't even think about .nomedia.
I read soooooooooooo many threads, posts and different topics on a lot of different forums that my head spins. LOL
So far I haven't heard the hangouts beeps, but if I do it's fine........I mainly wanted all the stupid samsung crappy songs/ringtones out of there.
I just ordered an AN-21 U about 2 hours ago, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2528349 ...... so hopefully I won't need to use my phone for music after next week. :fingers-crossed:
OhYea......THANKS for all you have contributed to MOAR !!!!
Greetings Zooper Deities!
I am still new to andoid in general and Zooper in specific. Widget making is awesome, I am completely in love with the possibilities! I'm just wondering if one of those possibilities is to have dual Zooper music player widgets positioned at the same time. Specifically, I want to make a player for my audible books (sacrificing the 30-second "go back" feature and the sleep timer) and one for my music player (Google PlayMusic for now, until my Rocket Player is supported).
I don't want to go to all the trouble to design a pair of widgets that can't be used together... and I honestly don't even want a homepage for audio playing if it can't control both. The way I have it now is using the proprietary widgets from Rocket Player and Audible, but they are mismatched and ugly and make me sad. :crying:
So, am I still asking too much, or is this a doable goal?
Hi,
What player do you use for your Audio Books?

Just to clarify this: do you want to have separate widgets for different media players or do you want one to rule them all? The first is not possible to do with Zooper because you can't specify which music app should be controlled. The later should be possible, though I've never used Audible and thus I'm not sure if Media Utilities(MU) fully supports it.
P.S.: deities? love that
I use the audible app to download and control my audio books. They offer a widget that works pretty well, but is ugly as sin.
I want to be able to switch on-the-fly from listening to my audiobook to listening to music. I can do that with the proprietary widgets, seamlessly: pressing play on one pauses the other and starts up where it left off. It needn't be *that* complex, I'm capable of pressing pause and then play myself. So, short answer long, I do indeed want two players.
