Missed call counter on watch face - Asus ZenWatch

Hi guys. Whenever I get a missed call and I clear the notification on my watch and on my phone, the missed call counter on the watch doesn't reset. Today I received two missed calls, and after clearing the notifications, the watch still shows one on the counter. How does the counter work, and how come it doesn't reset? Seems to me it's buggy.

No LED/Vibrate on Email Notification

Hey all,
Have my phone on Vibrate and when I receive a Google mail the phone isn't vibrating and the LED isn't flashing. As far as I can see all options in Google mail and the phone settings suggest I should be getting both.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Russ
Hmmmmm a reboot seems to have fixed this, lets hope it doesn't get into a habit of it
didn't work for me, rebooted, but still no vibrate on new SMS, light flashing, tho
Apologize for cross-posting, but I'm getting frustrated with this. A reboot didn't help me either.
Everything was working before, but just today I noticed it refused to vibrate on email notifications. WinMo used to have a similar annoying bug, but it was related to replies. This bug is affecting all messaging notifications, i.e. Exchange, pop3, Gmail and SMS.
I've gone in to general settings and put vibrate on. I've gone into each account and turned vibrate on. I've gone into Messaging (SMS) and turned vibrate on. Vibrate is basically turned on throughout the system, but it's still not vibrating except for phone calls.
I've uninstalled all of the last apps I had installed to no avail.
Anyone with any advice?
Last resort could be hard reset

Not really keen on hard reseting, but will try that as a last resort.
I ended up fixing it with a hard reset.
First time around, I chose to reinstall the settings from the auto backup that was on the SD card, but I experienced the same behaviour.
Redid the hard reset and opted for cancel when asked about reinstalling the backup settings and all seems well so far.
Suspect it was a dodgy app or could have been that running the battery down flips a software switch to turn off vibrations, but the switch has a hard time flipping back. Will wait and see how long I can keep the vibrating notifications, but now I know how to solve it.
On another note, talk about a waste with that auto backup function. I mean, to really be useful you should be able to choose when it backs up and which backup you want to reinstall. Having it constantly backup settings like it does is bound to backup whatever went wrong in the first place. Oh well.

ringer on phone randomly goes silent

when i set only the watch to buzz when the phone is set to silent.
i'd love to keep my phone on silent during work so there's not this loud obnoxious vibrating sound, but still get notified through my watch when i get a message or something. it's so annoying and i've missed a few calls because of it.
just thought you guys should know if this happens to you.

Do you have mini launcher installed? I think it can change phone settings too

no i don't, i've never heard of mini launcher before
My Moto 360 also seems to randomly silence my phone (Nexus 5, rooted, but running stock). It's rather annoying.
So far, the only thing I've found that might be related is when the watch and the phone lose connection to each other, but it has happened at other times as well.
I do have mini launcher installed, but I see no settings on it that might have this effect. I've also double checked the Android Wear app to see if there's something I did in there, but I don't see anything.
Over the weekend, I may reset the watch and see what happens afterwards.

Phone Notification Delay

Is anyone else having a delay in phone notification? By the time my watch starts vibrating to notify me of a phonecall I have already missed the call on my phone. That's irritating. One of the reasons I got the watch was to let me know when my phone starts ringing. My emails and texts seem to be notifying me just fine. It's just the phone notification.
Ideas?
I have only a small delay like 0,5s. So I think this is not normal. Are you connected by bluetooth or maybe by wifi?
I'm connected by BT. Like i mentioned all of my other notifications are working just fine. It's just the phone notification. I wiped my watch and reloaded everything so i am waiting to see if that fixed anything.

I have this at times, though not always. I also get it where after I answer the call it continues to vibrate on my watch. hangouts messages do take a few seconds to push to the watch though. that said, this behavior has been consistent with my zenwatch, smartwatch 3 and my hwatch so I think it's just inherent in the platform

Same here.
I just tested a call and it was about .5 to 1.0 seconds which is considered very good by my taste. But I did notice SMS and Hangouts does take a few seconds.
Maybe they set the priority like that on purpose.
Same problem for me...

I am experiencing the same exact problem with my Nexus 6P - no amount of resetting seems to have fixed the problem. This has been extremely frustrating.
Anyone else figure this out without having to warranty the watch. Mine is a good 3 seconds behind with a Nexus 6. The call can go to voicemail before the watch vibrates.

I'm hoping with the new update to Wear announced today that it will fix the delay. Hoping....

it has nothing to do with the watch, I've got a sw3 as well that behaves the same with my 6p. previously I had a zenwatch, and it had the same delay with my n6 and later the 6p
I believe it's the android wear app itself. If you can find the AW 1.3 apk from apkmirror or the like, you should see a difference. Hopefully the new OS update will help alleviate the issue.
Same here with HW Watch Active. Phone get instant Message since Doze Settings on Marshmallow were edited, Watch still delayed...
I am having problems as well. Sometimes I would get notifications on my watch, other times the notifications would be delayed. I just tried and I am not even getting calls to my watch. I had to perform a factory restart twice now in order to get it to work. Why is that? I have a Huawei watch sync with a Huawei Mate 9. I would figure they both should work seamlessly.
any advice would be appreciated

Did you find a solution? I am experiencing the same issue, the incoming calls are not working and I also cant therefore receive calls directly on the watch. I am using an updated Huawei Watch with the HTC One M8, which is also updated to Android 6.0, with the latest version of Android Wear.
Cheers

The incoming calls seem to have fixed itself. However, what really solved the issue was that I had to make sure, on my Huawei phone, Android wear was set to close after the screen lock. I made sure that Android wear was always running in the background. Not sure if there is a similar setting on the HTC One M8, but making sure android wear was not in any power saving mode solved the problem for me.
Hope it help,

I fixed the issue with a "wipe partition cache" procedure. Thanks

Notification and Connection Issues; Smartwatch 3 Works Fine

I've had a Smartwatch 3 for a couple years without any issues. The watch connects without me doing anything, and notifications come through at the same time as my phone.
I bought a Huawei Watch Tuesday, went through the two system updates, and then did not receive notifications. A factory reset fixed that for about 36 hours.
Since then, I've done about 10 factory resets, tweaking settings in the Wear app and on the watch each time. Sometimes, I could get the watch to receive notifications temporarily. That would stop after an hour or so. Pushing one of the sample notifications from the Wear app doesn't work, but most of the time I can change the watch face from the Wear app. Other weird things:
-Sometimes the Wear app will show nothing. Not even give me options to add a device.
-When I click "Calling Setup" on the watch, sometimes it will ask me to give Message+ (the Verizon messaging app) permission. Whether I accept or not, it will eventually tell me the watch isn't connected to the phone (even though the Wear app says it is).
Today, I exchanged the watch, and am having the same issues (and the grey circle where the charging icon appears won't go away). I really, really want to be able to use this watch, so any help would be very much appreciated. Here's a quick rundown of what I've tried so far:
-Cleared Wear app data and cache.
-Removed Smartwatch 3 and Huawei watch from app thinking it might be confused with 2 in there. Re-added the Smartwatch 3 independently after this, and it still worked.
-Checked permissions on phone and watch.
-Removed Google Play Music playlist, thinking syncing may have been bogging it down.
-Switched default text apps.
-Uninstalled Wear app.
-Tried different Watchmaker faces.
Watch and phone (LG G3 on Verizon) are running Marshmallow.
Can you think of any experiments before I give up?
Uninstall Wear and re-install. Then resync and pair the watch again.
Thats all I can think of.
As an update, I cleared cache in each app on my phone individually and uninstalled non-essential Wear apps. This has notifications flowing normally.
However, if I disconnect the phone/watch for any reason, it takes hours for notifications to start coming in again.
Any thoughts on how to trigger notifications after reconnecting? Toggling the connection and options in the Wear app doesn't help. I can't figure out what eventually allows notifications again.
Hi guys, I have problem with incoming notifications on my watch after the watch is not paired with my smartphone a few hours.
The watch don't receive incoming notifications, but the bluetooth connection is there.
After a factory reset my watch works good again.
I need help, please..

I think we're experiencing the same thing. I bet if you gave it a few hours, you would start to receive notifications. I wonder if this is an issue with the watch. Does anyone not experience this?

At night, when my smartphone is paired with watch, it's about 8 hours, I get a different notifications to my smartphone but to Huawei watch they don't come.
At morning I do a factory reset.
sleep mode for BT or wifi or...... ? battery optimized app on Marshmallow ?

No incoming call notification, no ringing

This has happened twice and the only fix was to do a factory reset. Seemingly at random I'll stop receiving a call notification and my phone does not ring. The only way I know I missed a call is if they leave a voicemail because I'll get an alert for a new voicemail. I was literally looking at my phone and had a voicemail pop up and it didn't ring or anything.
I was rooted, stock rom for years and out of the blue I started to get only a voicemail but never heard my phone ring and no missed call notification and nothing in the incoming call log. Did a factory reset, updated apps and everything was working fine on the stock unrooted rom (just in case a magisk mod messed it up). Now out of nowhere it started again, no ring and no incoming call display. The 3xL is no longer being updated and was working as normal after factory reset with the newest rom from the google website.
I would rather not have to keep doing this every 2-3 weeks because I don't know when exactly it stops working because if they don't leave a voicemail I have no idea I had missed a call. Phone is not in DND/silent because I've held my phone looking at something and just get a voicemail and the phone didn't ring or show incoming call so I know that is not the problem. If this is a widespread problem I have not seen any reports of it and a factory reset should have solved it if was a regular software issue but the same problem started happening twice now.
Edit: I've tried multiple dialers, truephone, and I've disabled Wifi calling but still no change.
E2: Ok, finally tried out a non stock rom, LineageOS. Incoming calls are working again, I didn't doubt they would after a reset because they seemed to work after the last time I reset to stock rom. I'll see how things go I guess.
