TPU bumper? - ONE Accessories

Hi guys
I'm searching for a TPU bumper for my 1+1 like this

Alluminium seems not to protect enough IMHO...
p.s. I have already the original crystal case from 1+1 store but it's too slippery ( I'm thinking to use on it the sandpaper to make it less sleppery, what's your opinion? )
Thank you all

I recently got the Diztronic Ultra TPU case (cannot post links yet, but googling it will take you to their site right away), would you consider that a bumper case? Seems like it offers decent protection and the looks and build quality is pretty solid as well.

Seems good but I cant understand if it has the back or not.. I prefer not to have it because I like the matte back of my OPO

Those kind of bumpers don't exist for the OPO unfortunately. Evolutive Labs failed to kickstart one, and then there's the aluminum one...
I've looked all over.
Diztronic cases have a backing.

That's very strange! Does the diztronic is thick or fits well in the pocket?

Indeed mate I'm looking for a bumper like this, can't believe there's only the cheap aluminum one.

I ordered both Diztronic cases. Should come in a week hopefully.
I'm sure others can chime in however.

Don't forget to hit thanks!

why doesn't someone get a normal tpu case and use a hot copper wire to cut out the back? it'll basically be a bumper and it'll look pretty decent

People, don't go and buy cases and think that cutting out the back would make a bumper case, it does not. The case looses all rigidity and the middle section is all floppy. I did this on a galaxy nexus and lg g3 case, neither time did it work. A bumper case is engineered differently to be rigid all around. Don't waste money thinking cutting a case would work.
Just my 2 cents.

The two parts are made from two different parts so they can be taken apart if enough force is applied. We would not advise this as the polycarbonate back is there to protect the back of your handset.

The G3 case I used was basically the same, hard back and tpu bumper, was the same, floppy once removed. It really makes no sense destroying a perfectly good case.

bump...
any bumper yet?

Hey! I use TPU diztronic case ( the one with bumpers on corners )
It protected my device when it feel on corners .
Makes your phone a bit heavy and shabby too.
Back doesn't feel like the sandstone , but we have to compromise for protection.

it is unbelievable that the oneplus one has no accessories at all!
the diztronic case is very expansive.. as there are no alternatives.

Diztronic here too.

I've had this Diztronic on my OPO for 2 years now, has protected several corner falls on concrete..

Thin cases or even none!

I'm looking for a really thin and lightweight case for my note. I really prefer to use it without the flipcase, and like the SGP ultra thin that I had for my S2. But the ultra thin is not out yet and just about every case is either too bulky or made of tpu or some other material that I don't like.
So what do u guys think? Is it sufficient to just use a screen protector? I keep my phone in my bag when not in use.

either grab one of those, or grab one of the ebay plastic cases.
but pointless to get a case that is too slim as it wont end up offering any worthwhile protection. it may prevent scratches, but wont help with drops.

now i can easily plug my MHL / those big 3.5 stereo audio adapters, while with the nillkin, i had to take it off for both those adapters to fit , not saying Nillkin case is a bad one , no its is a great case.
so far im loving this new case , cos i tend more to like transparent dark cases.

SGP Ultra Thin
Thank you for all the suggestions! I didn't know about the existance of some of them! I may still go for the Ultra Thin Air now that it is available as I had it for my S2 and coupled with an SGP screen protector, seems good enough.
For those who are unsure about how good the screen protector is, check out the video at the bottom of this page.
Does the SGP ultra easily get fingerprints?

Well being a glossy plastic I suppose it does. My case for the S2 was white so it wasn't that obvious. Btw, I had dropped that phone at least a couple of times with the casing on, without any issues to the screen or bezel. Though admittedly the height was about three feet or less.

This case, FlexiShield Skin is pretty good in the thin department. Not the thinnest but then I think its good to offer some protection just in case theres a drop and you need it:

Got one of these a few days ago, the case itself is thin and fits like a glove, that being said it scratches really quickly (it was scratched by the time I put the screen protector on) on the backside, screen protector so far seems solid.

Why on Earth is there no silicone bumper out there??

As the title says I wonder why there's no such accessory out yet?
I feel the device quite slippy and I don't want to use a common cover.

EDIT: sorry!!! Made a mistake!
I'm looking for the same thing. I hope SGP comes out with the bumper case like they have for iphone4, their Neo Hybrid case is awesome.
There are silicone bumpers, i have one myself. It's not in two parts like the SGP for iPhone (and less sexy) but it covers the back and the sides, that's all i need. Mine is reflective though...But, for 6 euros, i'm not going to complain

I don't want to sound harsh, but... folks... why don't you read what I wrote?
I asked for a silicone bumper and you all keep posting links about covers (they all have the back side covered, so no REAL bumper!) and TPU/ABS stuff!

I don't think "silicone" is a good material to use for a bumper. It's too flimsy and will come off far too easy. I think the TPU bumper depakjan just posted looked really nice so I placed an order for one. TPU is still very flexible but not as flimsy as silicone.

OK TPU material is less flimsy, but what about the grip?
It looks slippy to me.
I've used plain TPU cases on other phones and they're definately not as slippery as the phone itself but I agree that it would have been nice with "friction patterns" on the sides of the bumper.
I've had a silicone case once and it was useless... it came off all the time and the material attracts dirt like nothing else.

Hehe... you want a bumper case where 90% of the phone is already exposed but you don't want dust on the phone?
Since these are very cheap parts I suggest you buy one of each and compare yourself.

A silicone bumper on it's own will not work. I have tried crafting my own in the past for my phones, and unless you have sharp edges on the front and back of the device for the silicone to wrap, it will not stay put. In cases for devices with a smooth edge, a harder material must be used in place of or in conjunction with the soft silicone material.
I will assume you have already counted out the Anymode bumper which is a silicone/TPU hybrid bumper, although I imagine it is the closest you will get. Perhaps you could find a way to rubberize the exterior hard plastic shell of it yourself if you found it to be too slippery.
Well, there is only one thing to say about myself right now... FML! My jacket pocket zipper was snagged on my seatbelt and opened right as I got out of my car, dropping my week-old phone on the frickin concrete, scuffing 3 out of four corners of the dang phone!! I am beyond livid at myself right now... I knew I should have ordered a case earlier.. I overnighted (Saturday delivery, grrr) a case from Amazon that's getting good reviews: http://www.amazon.com/BoxWave-UniCo..._1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1328893866&sr=1-4 if you are interested in it.

I received this bumper case today. I tried it for 5 seconds and threw it away. Offers no real protection... and it doesn't protect the screen if you put it face down. Also it was broken upon arrival (a big crack in one of the corners) so quality must be lousy too!

You could try this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Minisuit-Ultr...=1386219791&sr=8-5&keywords=moto+x+clear+case
It was $4 a couple days ago
I can't personally speak for that one, but I can for these:

http://www.amazon.com/Cruzerlite-Ex...=1387406862&sr=8-7&keywords=cruzerlite+moto+x
Only the symbols/lines and sides are completely transparent, but I thought they looked nice with the custom backs. They are also very snug and solid. So tight, in fact, that you need to be very careful putting it on if you have a screen protector.
Also, it's B2G1 on those.

Air Jacket is clean and shows off the back and our corporate logo perfect.
Good protection have dropped 2 times both glass 1st and back 1st no damage.
Plus the side case edge matched the Moto X choice great for the buttons and camera ring.
You can feel the dimple on the phone as that part of the case is open.

I bought one from Ebay and it is okay. The price was less than $5. Since I am a new member, I can't post outside links but it is called " Moto X Clear Slim TPU".
I decided not to use a case on mine. I am using a pouch and I'll use the bumper on occasion. My ideal case is a matte bumper with clear button covers.

There are at least 5-10 on eBay that are hard clear cases. I bought two different ones for $3 each. Look harder!

what Case do you use? And which has the most grip?

Hello
i am looking for a case and i would like to know your opinion about yours and which has more grip in hands, because i don't want my phone to slip out of my hands
I switch between a diztronic tpu case and a nillkin pc case, both have good grip but the diztronic gives better all round protection
The diztronic case doesn't really offer that great of a grip but is a great case other than that.
I'm using the Ringke Fusion OnePlus One Case. Get the smoked black, there are some problems with the Crystal View version. Very easy to hold with the fusion case.

Never had that case so I can't comment on that.
I had the Ringke fusion for my nexus 5, same sorta deal with the clear back and a bumper but hardly used it as there were better cases from spegen. Its a shame Spigen are not making anything for the oneplus
I have the Diztronic TPU case and the PELOSI sandstone black case and I use the pelosi as my daily. I like the drop protection that the diztronic provides but it's simply too slippery for me. The OPO is already a big phone, and the Diztronic size and texture makes it too awkward to hold. The Pelosi is much slimmer and grippier, with a very similar feel to the stock Sandstone Black OPO texture. It doesn't offer as much drop protection as the diztronic, but I've decided that being able to hold onto the phone is more important than it being safer when dropped. It's a tricky decision to make, but for me the Pelosi wins out.
I use the TUDIA Slim Melody TPU case. It's a great case, and was relatively cheap. Good feel, offers decent anti-slip protection. Sleek, with just enough of a lip to not worry about laying the phone face up or down on a hard surface. Button and port access are great as well.
The Pelosi case is supposed to mimic the Sandstone black cover and offer good grip. Only issue is that it doesn't offer the best protection.
I have nillkin frosted
Originally got the Diztronic but it's a bit to slippery. Using Nillkin now. Less protection but grippier and slimmer.
I use the Cruzerlite Bugdroid circuit case. The grip is fine ... not like the sandstone back but nearly the same. And in my view it looks awesome!!
cheap from china (2euros inc. shipping).. slim body armour hard case for oneplus one... red one... feels great, matt design.

A silicon case would be a better option + more grip.

I'd stay away from aluminium, affects your signal http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54914550&postcount=14
Just a warning. Some people say it hasn't affected signal, some has. I don't own a case so I cannot confirm.
In that case compromising the signal is not a solution for a nice looking case.
I will go for a Diztronic TPU case than. People are happy about it.

http://www.amazon.ca/Orzly®-Protect...=1418949023&sr=8-11&keywords=oneplus+one+case Ill be ordering one soon since it looks wicked. has anyone used this case? Im gonna try it and report back in case anyone wants to get one
Just got mine today, black. Not sure I'm thrilled with it. It's thinner than the Tudia Dual. Doesn't feel as protective. It didn't "hug" the phone as well as I was hoping it would, the Tudia is a nice slim snug fit. Not much of a lip over the front of the phone screen. The silver bezel on the top/bottom of the phone is visible with it on.

There's something strange, something wrong on this case...
Just an update, I stopped using the Orzly Fusion case, even on the Bamboo the case is loose (or maybe because it's on the Bamboo and it's thicker so it's not hugging the phone properly).
posted this on google+ originally
Orzly Oneplus One case came in yesterday. Very satisfied and happy that it fits perfectly with the Bamboo Swapstyle cover. The buttons are tough as hell to press but it's not a deal breaker. Plus the shine effect the clear back gives to my OnePlus is a beauty.
my google+ link to original post and the comments in there where people were discussing fitting.

Clench your phone, as if you're trying to compress the lips over your phone sides, you will feel like it has movement as if it really is loose.
I found the same thing. Fit is nowhere near as snug as I would have liked it to be, and I would have much preferred a bit more lip for screen protection.
I just received this too. It's an okay case.. NOT a fan of clear rears. But for 5 bucks not bad.
...
Iv had this for about 2 weeks. i love the case. I believe bigballa on the xda community has posted some really helpful pics. The fitting around the sides is perfect and access to all ports is spot on as well. Iv read some odd amazon reviews but i really cant fault this case. Shows the back of my phone nicely whilst offering great protection
kind of glad i got the diztronic instead, is recommend it I might pick up the fusion later on
Remove back Plastic
Hi,
Same here seems that it is realy thinn and not so protective. We will see after some drops (I hope It will not happen soon).
I remove all the plastic back part (with a dremel: Grinding and Cuting head) to preserve the sandstone back feel of the phone and to keep the weight down. Its is quite good, the case is still well in place, not so loosy. There is a litle loose in the midle of the long border. If I redo this operation I will keep a litle platic stripe between the midle of the long borders.
I will try to cut the back of an Diztronic case to compare the overall rigidity.

+ 9h nilkin tempered glass screen protector
I've had the clear version of this case for about a couple months and have dropped it several times. No damage, just some small chips on the edges of the nilkin tempered glass screen
I have the case about 5 days, but I send it back, there are some problems with it.
First the polycarbonat back scratches really easy and looks bad, second is the case not fits at the top and bottom, so there can enter a lot of dust.
I can not recommend this case
The back transparent easy to scratch. Demmittt.
I actually really love this case. It is much slimmer than the ringke fusion and actually maintains the shape of the opo with minimal bulk. Also, I made my own template (much like I did with the ringke fusion) So I can have custom backs.
The one downside is quality control though. When I got the case, one of the plastic protective sheets was positioned halfway down the back and there was a small scratch on the top right hand corner.
That said, this is still my favourite case.

I was considering buying this, but what you guys said, made me change my decision and I bought the pelosi case.. Perfect fit, sandstone feeling and very slim fit
