Same problem here, altough Facer and Watchmaker don't seem to be affected. What languages do u use on your watch and your phone, there was a language related bug on the previous Wear version. I use German on both.
Reset fix
Well it seems that a reset on the moto360 fixes that... Mine it's OK now.
I've faced the issue with both Portuguese and English.
I'm having the same problem with German language. After changing the language to English and rebooting the Moto, it is centered. Problem reappears after changing the language back and rebooting. Reset only fixes it until the first reboot...

Exactly the same behavior here.
Same problem here.. Really annoying..
I use Italian language and I never had this problem before.. Tried to perform a reset, but after the first reboot the issue reappeared.. So, I've tried to uninstall all the wear apps on my phone, reset the watch and reinstall only android wear and Motorola connect app. But unsuccessfully.
Only a new update can fix it, I guess..

Helllo everyone,
I have the same problem in Italian language.
I noticed that with the face "Semplice" (maybe "Simple" in English), there isn't this problem, but the moto360 is very ugly .
I hope that Motorola will solve the problem in the shortest time possible.

Try changing the language to English and resetting the watch. It worked for me! I will keep mine in English until they solve this issue!
Ok guys, try this out (it worked when the UI bugged after the first and following reboots, making it look like a square watch):
reset de watch
select your language
on the "Install android wear on your phone" screen, go to the configurations via the physical button and reboot
select your language again and pair the device
After it's all synced again try rebooting the device to see if the problem is solved for good.

Great to know!
I've spent a whole day breaking my head on this when my moto360 was giving me a square UI on the first/second day of use. I've only reseted once and twice after it and it's always worked. Someone should make this solution a sticky somewhere.

Thx man.
I know this is a little old but it was my first result when googling the problem so wanted to say thanks and add that, in my case, I had the "Rounded Corners" app running and this caused the problem. I stopped that and was then able to hit install.
Thanks

Thanks doesn't hurt....
Bumping because I just had this same problem with a Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 international from Telcel in Mexico running stock ROM.
I literally didn't even know of the existence of Screen Filter until now, so what worked was stopping every single app that was drawing overlays: Facebook inbox, GO Power Master, SuperSU and Battery Mix (it draws a discrete little bar at the top of the screen indicating your remaining battery). Now it works all fine.
The lesson here is that if you can't install .apk's, you have to disable EVERY SINGLE APP THAT DRAWS OVERLAYS, starting with the ones you currently have running, then the ones that could draw overlays: in my case, GO Power Master draws one when the phone heats or when battery runs low, SuperSU pops the kdesudo-like dialog, and Facebook inbox has pop-up Chat Heads.
I had to close out Halo.. That was the app that over layed
Workaround:
- Set your phone language to english (it will set the watch language to english too, maybe you have to disconnect/reconnect the watch through the android wear app)
- Reboot your watch, the issue should be gone
- Set your phone language to german, it will set the watch language to german too.
Repeat the steps every time you want to reboot the watch, or you want the issue to be gone.
Maybe the issue is with other languages too. If you can confirm the issue and the fix with other languages, please post a reply with the language you normally use.
To get it fixed, please report it on the google android bug tracker too: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=77642

Hi,
does anyone see this issue? If you haven't what are the software versions you have on phone and watch?
I reset the watch, the apps are synced again, they work for some time and then all of them are getting a zoomed in look where they thinking I have a square watch:

After:
I have this with at least the apps "Calendar for Wear", "Calculator", "Music Boss for wear", "Wear Battery Stats".
Software versions on watch: Android wear 1.0.1.1448224, Google Play services 5.0.91 (1378941-534)
Software versions on phone: Android wear1.0.2.1476973, Google Play services 6.1.74 (1511752-038)
One thing I see in the logcat:
10-19 09:45:07.792 W/GooglePlayServicesUtil( 2452): Google Play services out of date. Requires 6111500 but found 5091534
Same problem here
The apps are not centered.
Same problem here, after reset all apps are correctly displayed but after a reboot or even just some time gone by they change to square layout.
Anyone found a solution to fix this?

Solution: Android 2.0? Or new ota minor update?
Thanks for the feedback. Workaround for now seems to never reboot the watch or let it go till it shut down.
Let's hope the next update for the watch firmware fixes it.
Still the same with 4.4w2
I made a imgur album http://imgur.com/a/YkSld and try to create a support request.
The apps I can confirm have the issue are for now:
- Calculator for Android Wear
- Android Wear Battery Status
- Mini Dialer
- Calendar for Android Wear
- Music Boss for Wear
Is anyone of you haven't this issue?
@super-6-uno and @Mocusolvan, what system language are you using on the phone? And it is the same on your watch?
Both Phone System Language and Watch Language are set to German.
Same for me.
@Mocusolvan. please try setting the phone language to us english. You don't have to restart the phone. You should see the watch switching to english too (maybe you have to disconnect / reconnect in android wear). When the watch is on english, reboot the watch. Now is the issue gone?
Go back to german, reboot the watch. Is the issue back?
After changing the system language to english everthing is displayed correctly even after several restarts. Once I switch back to german though a restart still causes the square layout to be displayed.
So it seems that the set language really does make a difference. For now I will stay with english until another solution becomes available. Thanks for the tip
Thanks for the confirmation.
By the way, you could safely switch back to german. You just have to switch to english every time you reboot (start) the watch.
As a side note, I use english as the phone language and only have set the android wear app to german through the xposed module "app settings". That makes the watch german without messing with my phone language.
Found a issue that looks the same on the android bug tracker, https://code.google.com/p/android/i...s Owner Summary Stars&groupby=&sort=&id=77642
This solution doesn't fix this problem on my watch ?
Worked for me.
Put in a simpler way: the watch has to boot in english. You can then change default language to anything else, as long as it started in english.

I'm using it cause... "auto upgrade"...
And all in all I'm ok with it but I'm experiencing one "bug" (see down below). Colors might be more saturated than before, but it's ok for me and it doesn't "hurt my eyes" as some describe it. I'm using the "natural" display mode and the display warmth slider is in the middle.
I read through the linked article a bit but it seams like the experience is very subjective or not all users experience this phenomenon or at least not as bad / strong.
-------
Since my upgrade to Android 12 I'm experiencing one quite annoying bug.
Background:
I'm using my device with the work profile to keep annoying apps at bay.
Using "Shelter" app.
Using "Aurora Store" in work profile to install apps.
No factory reset was performed since upgrade.
Not rooted.
Problem:
Since the upgrade to Android 12 I'm experiencing an quite annoying bug. Using the "phone" app (private profile) I have no sound and microphone sometimes. So I can't hear and can't be heard. If I'm activating the work profile and use the "phone" app (again from private profile) I suddenly have sound and microphone.
Fix / workaround:
Activate the work profile.
Another way to "fix" this problem is to reboot the phone.
After reboot it works for an undefined time. I haven't tested if the problem starts after using work profile and deactivating it again. I'm testing it and I'll try to not forget to post an update for others.
FYI:
If sound from other apps does work, wasn't tested until now. If you need to call you normally have no time for testing, so reboot it was for me.
Tested solutions:
Tested some general "solutions" from REDDIT & Co.
Editing settings in "Sound & vibration" -> "Audio effects": recommended -> "activate Dolby ATMOS". Phone doesn't have that so i resetted the setting (after tapping "Audio effects" tap "Settings" at the bottom then tap 3 dot menu and tap "Reset")
- DIDN'T WORK
Suggestion: it's a carrier problem
Set network selection to manual and select your corresponding network.
- DIDN'T WORK
Deactivate or activate "Wi-Fi calling". (mine was activated so I deactivated it)
- DIDN'T WORK
Enable or disable "VoLTE". (mine was activated so I deactivated it)
- DIDN'T WORK
My questions:
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Has anyone found a solution?
Thanks
Hi. Yesterday I got new S21 FE 5G and I have problem with gesture typing. As you can see in the video below, when I try to type longer words with fast finger slide, the keyboard often "loses" my move and starts a second one, resulting in typing two different words, instead of one. Tested on a Samsung and Gboard keyboard. I have found many threads across the internet about this problem on S22, but they say it was fixed in June by software update. Now we have October and this issue exist on my S21 Fe. Any ideas on how this can be fixed?

Same here. I tried both keyboards too. It is the worst phone I have ever owned. I can't believe a high-end phone has such problems and such a bad camera.
Some people on Reddit say that this problem appeared since September update, but I can't confirm this as I bought phone this week. That's why I am wondering if it is damaged touchscreen and I should return phone or just wait for update.
I have the same. And it started 2 updates ago.

So far I only got the tip to reset the settings of the Samsung keyboard to the default setting. Of course it didn't help.
Then I should send a bug report through the Members App. I did, but haven't gotten a response yet.

for me it is very annoying - previously I used to enter my password once a week and now it happens to me several times a day because the failure to recognize my fingerprint several times forces me to use a password (and I have a long one)
I have no problems with fingerprint recognition. But since I updated 4 days ago, the fingerprint reader didn't "light up" on turned off screen several times already.
I also experienced very heavy battery drain the day after I installed the update - 35% over night, then ~15%/hour during short geocaching hike. But rebooting the phone fixed that.
Other than that, I don't really see any difference in speed/performance - I feel it's identically great as it was before.
Oh and the new "pocket detection" screen with swipe up is really annoying and difficult to unlock.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else lost the ability to use the cellular band selection hidden network setting - under the Call Settings menu? I'm not able to access it in Android 13. It says the app is no longer installed.
This is the menu: com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui.hiddennetworksetting.MainActivity
Update went smoothly for me, no hiccups or crashing problems after it.
Biggest problem I've had so far, like jenda.69 mentioned, is the new accidental touch protection screen, not sure why Samsung felt the need to change something when it was already working well. I could not for the life of me unlock the screen.
Other than that, I'd say everything else is pretty good. Mini stutters from OneUI 4 are fixed, like the ones that happened often in the quick settings menu. Personally I prefer the animations from OneUI 4 but I don't have a problem with the new ones either. The new clock font options are pretty slick as well.
Lastly some nitpicks; The default animated call screen is gone which is a very minor thing but I did like that gradient animation a lot and how it changed according to contact pictures. New one is pretty dull. Samsung didn't make use of the new Android 13 media player either which is kinda disappointing but I don't have too big a problem with that.
Overall a decent update. 9/10 has a little something for everyone
