Hi, After hours reading different posts on how to odex, deodex, smali and baksmali and hours of testing, I managed to successfully create a Hotspot Mod for ZVE using the guide given by metalboy94, but since I'm new to this site, I can't attach the zip files. I'd be more than happy to link or upload them if someone could tell me how, thanks in advance.

All credit goes to lefty. He emailed the files so I can upload here. I quickly did a test of the odexed version and it worked for me.

I'm rooted but keeping my stock recovery until lollipop update, can I sideload this hack with stock recovery, without issue. Also, I flashed it on a device with custom recovery and it worked, but I couldn't get internet connection on the connected client. I'm currently with boost and from my experience hacking other boost phones, they block tethering, and on the the connected client you get a banner stating so. Has anyone tried this on boost's network and managed to get a internet connection on the client.

after i rooted my phone (unlocked sprint lg g2 ls980 4.4.2 zvc) with and installed su and xposed framework and some modes, i have copied the 2 FILES service (odexed) then i restart but it stuck in logo , i try to reset and wipe all data , but when it say reboot now it reboot stucked in the logo the recovery mode is the only thing i could boot in
so please help me
Internet cycles when hotspot connected
I installed this mod on my rooted sprint lg g2 ZVE. Hotspot turns on ok, and i can connect ok, but when i connect via wifi, the 4g connection will turn off, then a second later turn on, then off and repeats until hotspot is turned off, then the 4g becomes stable. Anybody have a idea of whats going on?

So I rooted my G2 and flashed the ZVE hotspot mod and it worked great - but my knock on wasn't working. I finally got my knock on to work correctly, but had to use a backup which didn't have the mod installed at that moment. . I re-flashed the mod but now it's not working. I don't get any error messages when turning on Wifi tethering. I can connect devices, but the connected devices cannot access the internet. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I also tried just copying the system.jar and system.odex files instead of using the flashable version, but that didn't work either. Each time I update profile and PRL and reboot. I'm at a lost. If someone could help, that'd be great.

Manually copied the services.jar file and changed permissions.. Works like a charm! No more slow t-mobile hotspot for me!

Edit: for some reason every time I turn on the hotspot I have to do a profile and prl update on the G2 before I have internet access on my note 2. Any ideas why, or how I can fix it?

okay so my cousin had owned this evo before me and he had it on his cricket account and it worked perfectly fine for him except MMS
he went to at&t and gave me the phone
so i did a hard reset and cleared the phone ( i heard from somewhere this un does the flash ? correct me if im wrong but i think this is what messed everything up )
but anyways i did the hard reset and took it too cricket and they transferred it over too my line for 15 dollars and now the web and mms doesnt work !
all i can do is talk and text !
can somebody please help me ? im stuck at this point i jus wanaa know if i can dial ##3282# and fix it ? or maybe the app "anycut" can help ?
or do i have to reflash it ? im pretty sure i can reflash it myself but i cant get the DIAG DRIVERS for my evo because the computer i have is "WINDOWS 7 64bit" and i been seeing links around that i can get it too work but everything ive tried just doesnt seem too work for a 64BIT computer ? !

Cricketusers.com has a huge support forum just for this device. I actually followed the noob tutorial posted on there and was able to flash to EVO's to Cricket with minimal pain. And on both MMS and 3G work. The trick is to make sure you use the universal cricket MMS app , not be on wifi when you send MMS, and get the right PRL's all of which is posted on that site.

Hi,
This is an issue which im not finding any answers too anywhere. My previous attempts all failed making me try again and wait hopefully.
After i upgraded to ics (= CWM9 Beta1 of course) i have lost my ability to use Wifi... that means that when i turn on my wifi on the phone it doesnt find my connection.
Wifi is a must and this is strange why there isnt an answer to this question. What must i do to get my wifi up and running or at least find where the problem lays? I asked my ISP support so that they MIGHT be able to help but the dude on the line said that it seems ics isnt very good at wifis... i dont know if he was right or not but this definitely isnt a wide spread issue since internet search didnt show me anything much and it doesnt seem to be a complex problem either (i might be wrong). So please help me if you can.

The general section is the right place to post this kind of question and I guess you've already posted there a thread asking on a "how to" and have replied a thread on where you can find tons of information.
Basically, you need to flash your phone to a better baseband XXLM6 or XXLM8 to which will help you fix your wifi problem. Find a stock ROM with that baseband. Use the given thread I suggested in your other post.

Simply try to do a wipe cache and devil cache then reflash the rom

I think the dev said , its removed quick circle and wheather for using xposed.

Firstly a huge thank you to the developer for the splendid ROM.
After following the steps listed and reading all 16 pages it is working very very good.
Like said i have read all the posts from all the contributors, a great thank you from my aide for all of you.
I am a newbie to all thw flashing and rooting ( former ios user here) i have but one problem and i do apologise if this is a repeated question but cant seem to find a fox ( at least an easy one) for the sd card issue. E.g: i cant make a backup of my setup from NOVA Launcher.

Why are my apparatus of this error message?
I have done all the procedures for installation of the ROM but it always appears.
I already installed the original rom manufactures downloaded by site lg install it by LG FLASH TOOLS phaco root in it put the TWRP and do a backup and beginning to install the Stock Rom from scratch, put the Memory Card and install all right but this insists error and continue someone help me?

Hello staff. As recently posted here in the forum, I am struggling to install this rom, I liked want to be able to have it running smoothly on my G3, as already said in the post when I install it I get an error message whenever I start the device for example that this posted here ...
I did the network installation procedure as it says in the tutorial, I install the original rom by LG FLASH TOOLS version 4.4.2 then put root it, install the TWRP and then also put the desired Stock ROM in the memory and try to install but never the right always starts with this error ...
I think if any of you al post me a BACKUP this rom the TWRP will be the solution, if someone can do that for me do a test here I am grateful.

Hi, I have a D855 32 GB model and the device is clear, so it can be used to test anything on it. I dont have any apps or data and I know how to restore things that always happened to me (BootLoops, Boot certification verify, etc.)
So if you want, i can test it.

Im not sure if you two know what your getting into. I mean, I look at your stats and. you dont seem to have experience in this area..
I really need people that know what they are doing.... I dont want you to brick your phone and then have no way to recover..

Nothing than Fastboot mode and a kdz cannot recover
Also my stats are low because I use more htcmania.com than xda-developers
And now I have dual boot patcher mixed with the multiboot of Skin1980 and I got a lot of errors and now the phone still working and never used fastboot because I was able to work with the recovery to avoid data loss. Only I used it once because of the lollipop Wi-Fi bug and make a downgrade to kitkat.
And finally I love flashing things.
If you cannot trust me, never mind I only tried to help.

I have a D855 16GB. Have used multirom before running stock and CM 12.1, right now I'm only using Cloudy 2.4. I have no school for a few days and I'm happy to help testing. I know what I'm getting myself into, no problem if I have to flash KDZ over and over again.

I just put the file inside the multiboot folder and in "/home/user/system/extra/libbootimg/" it keeps me saying that. Could be a problem of ubuntu?? might I swith to debian or else??
Also Does the kernel need to be re-patched to use this method, or the method provided by Skin1980 is valid?? Did you find someone to test??

I jest bought a used ls980 LG g2 in Poland, that was earlier bought as new from China(I presume it was refurbished). It worked untill updated to official lollipop, the seller says the phone doesnt see the simcard. Will this fix solve the problem? Will it be permanent, can I change roms afterwards?
I dont have the phone yet, I'm waiting for delievery but I'd like to know earlier if its money well spent or not.

I am not sure but it should work, go for d802 if you can, it is better with software
Anyways, the sim unlock is for the stock rom, if you flash a custom rom over it such as I did (cloudy) and do a factory reset without wiping the internal storage, the sim unlock would still work
