Install Franco Kernel (it's great anyway). In the Franco Kernel Updater app you can set volume boost. Works well.

Must be unlocked, rooted and on a custom ROM for it to work I believe
Also another option is unlocking, rooting and flashing either Franco kernel or leankernel or glados kernel I believe and enabling the sound boost mod
Franco kernel app needed to set it for Franco kernel, leantweaks needed to set it for leankernel and not sure about glados kernel
I use volume+ on an unlocked, unrooted stock rom and it works for me

No.
That's for the headphone port ONLY.

Since I moved over to the CM9 nightlies, I have found the speaker volume to be much improved.
Note, though, that there are design issues at play also. It seems that Samsung kept the volume lower to keep the sound from distorting (the speaker isn't that beefy). Also, I've found the speaker is easily covered (e.g.: phone resting on a sofa), such that even with the higher volumes, I can't hear it!
Definitely a weakness of the phone design.
My phone volume seems to be great on stock non rooted. Better them my last phone.

Volume plus, DSP manager and nexus louderv3 beta3

I am currently running codnameandroid its an amazing 4.1 ROM however I do have an issue with the volume on this phone when it comes to speaker and headphones. I tried volume plus a week ago for the fist time and wow did it make my speakers vibrate. After some more ROM flashing i decieded to flash nexuslouderv3 and it worked. I got sorta greedy and used that with volume plus and the sound went back to stock. I tried flashing with one of them being used and vice versa but no luck. I even formatted my system and data but no luck. Anyone have suggestions?

Try franco kernel. It has built-in volume booster.
Okay I'll give it a try but I really don't want to budge from trinity

Trinity has the same thing too. The volume boost is only for headphones anyway.
Are you saying louderv3 working but then stop functioning after trying to use volume+? If so disable volume + and make sure your musical effects (in settings>sound) is not set to volume+.

CM 10.2 Voodoo support?

Ok I'm a little new to this but, on CM 10 I had the plasma kernel that had voodoo support (I think) so it allowed me to use s tweaks and adjust the audio volume.
I understand that plasma doesn't work with CM 10.2 yet, but are there any work arounds available to me to have my headphone and speaker volumes increased?

Is there a way to adjust screen saturation on a stock rom?

I see a few kernels 4 cm based roms, but I'd like to keep the stock rom. I am willing to install a new kernel to make it work; does anybody know of a kernel that will allow for display calibration so that I can increase the saturation?

I've always wished they would include this option in stock Android. I come from a home theater background and wish I could calibrate my screens on my mobile devices. The closest thing I've seen is Cinema mode on the newer galaxies.

I know ElementalX and francos kernel, as well as fauxs allow for adjustment, of course you are limited to whatever the app you use can do, for that you can use faux123 KEP, or something a little more advanced such as Voodoo.
