Video that was taken a few days ago. ElementalX when the kernel.
I appear in all of the custom kernel. (Franco-r19, ElementalX-3.02, Glitch-r305).
However, the threads of each XDA, it can not to find a person experiencing the same problem.
There is no problem in 5.0.1 stock kernel.
Is there such a problem just me?

How come I'm running the 9/5 nightly and now when I want to flash the 9/12 or 9/13 nightly I am getting a reboot loop without it actually booting up. Luckily I have a nandroid backup because if I didn't I would be screwed. I'd like to update to a newer nightly but I have no way of doing it with these constant reboots. Can anyone suggest something to me? I've tried all the wipes before updating and nothing is helping. I'm running RA anon 1.7, no modified kernel or anything like that. Newest radio and newest PRI/PRL.
Again, as long as I restore my nandroid everything runs like cake but I do like to update my OS and this issue is bothering me.
Thanks!

Thank you, I should also add that I'm well aware that others are running these roms without problems. I would just like to figure out what my issue is and how to fix it. Can anyone provide suggestions so I can do that?

i as you are, am experiencing the same issue. Now... out of curiosity can you flash the 9/6 nightly fine? that was the last nightly i could use that booted, everything else just bootsplash loops.
keyword nightly
also this needs to be in the Q&A section

I haven't tried it but I would wager yes. It seems as though 9/6+ contains a new kernel that our phones don't like

Sorry about the incorrect forum, can I move it or does a Mod need to?

I think it's a bigger issue than just being a nightly if the kernel is that crazy for EVERY nightly from 9/6+
No issues here with 9/11-9/13, other than my YouTube app when using v7.6 Turbo? Which I still need to figure out.
granted its something kernel related, using snap, i can then use the latest nightlies... only problem is, i dont want snap >_> i want cm kernel, oh well cant have it all am i rite? lol.
ill try again next week's nightly.

Hello XDA,
I received 3.14.707.24 update yesterday. While everything is faster and smoother, there is the launcher, stuttering. While not as bad as it was in 4.0.3, it is worse than 4.0.4 (2.17.707.3 firmware). Anyone else facing this issue? if not, how can i fix this?
Cheerz!

Simple, just let the ROM settle for a day or two!!!!
Also please post in here, no need to start another thread

How's waiting a day or two going to help the ROM "settle"? I've never seen this issue before.
Also, thanks, I'll be asking the guys participating in the other thread.

I know its weird but it works!!!! not sure what happens internally when it settles but it should be noticeably smoother as you use it day by day!
After a couple of restarts, it's probably "settled".
Tried a factory reset?
The launcher probably just needs to cache everything and build the dalvik cache again after the upgrade.
I've tried old nightlies, the stable version, and even the last nightly (12/26) of CM10 and I can't get MMS to work at all. It works fine on any TW ROM and it used to work on CM. I have an Airave in my house so signal isn't an issue. I've tried it with and without my WIFI on and nothing sends. What's up with that?
Can a mod delete this seeing as how no one has an answer
i've never had a problem with mms. currently on 1/3/13 cm 10.1 nightly using stock messenger app. cm 10.1 12/26 is extremely stable and it does not have the problems that the more recent builds have. i would suggest starting from there. also make sure to do a clean flash no matter what rom you're coming from.

Every time I flash a new ROM I always do a full wipe. I don't like CM10.1 because of the extra folder(s) situation. I'll more than likely just stick with TouchWiz
Ahh there was a fix for this somewhere! I'll try to remember where or see if I can find it or see if I can remember the fix...
Have you tried searching for similar problems/threads? I definitely remember seeing this before.

Read the roms thread to find out if someone had that issue first. That seems to be pretty specific for the rom...can be the kernel, the ram memory on your device or a bug of the custom rom.

This a battery related problem. Your battery must be old. Happened with me too, replaced the battery and worked fine
Sent from my DHD
I agree, that sounds battery related. They're not super expensive so I would recommend buying a new battery.
WOW!! I just replace the batery like you tell me, and now works perfect!! thank you all for you're help

Android 4.4 AOSP right?
It's a bug.
The sollution is to wait patiently for developers to fix it.

Please search before posting a new thread with a question next time. This has been discussed ad nauseum in almost every 4.4 ROM thread.

Well then that is weird.
Is it a common issue for that ROM? Anytime you see an issue like that it's usually not app related, meaning switching to a different camera app isn't going to fix it.
But it could be kernel related. Are you using a third party kernel or the one that came with the ROM?

Flash another ROM after a full wipe. See if the problem remains. If it does, flash back to full stock using Odin.
If it still persists it's a hardware failure.
