From android version 4.4.2 to aosp 5.0
I have a rooted, bootloader unlocked, with TWRP nexus 7 2013 (32gb wifi) running android 4.4.2 but have not installed a custom rom till date. Now if i want to flash a custom rom such as this one forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2510141(android 5, while my nexus is on 4.4.2), all i have to do is download the rom from the link given in the instructions and flash it via TWRP. From what i understand from the instructions, it doesnt matter what my tablets kernel number etc is, all i have to do is flash it via TWRP. Or is it that the new kernel is included with the flashable zip file, that i am to download.
Any input or advice is appreciated.

Flashed scrosler's rooted stock lollipop rom first. Runs very well.
Tried Liquidsmooth, but it wasn't very... smooth yet.

not sure if it's just me but everytime I open the music app and play music the DSP manager always crashes.

Hello, I just got a new fresh install. EVERYTHING wiped out, even sd card. I'm getting force closes when trying to play music. DSP Manager is not working as it should. Is this a known issue or only me? Thank you, this rom is great!

3g not working and apn keeps unloging me from network, when disabled no probs except no internet... Any ideas?
E: switched wifi hotspot on and disabled adb and it worked...
E2: guess it is just usb debbuging, works fine with bouth off
E3: had some more weird issues then reinstalled rom and all works fine now. I love it, fast and stable. [emoji2]

Hi, i have got this rom for 2 weeks. At the beginning it was fast etc. Now it cant even kepp launcher in memory? When i want to open any app for few mins, then i wan to back to homescreen it is loading all apps and widgets.. Also i cant back to my apps which i used few seconds/minutes ago cuz it's loading like a new open. When i had viperx 4.2.2 it could keep uc browser and some pages for few weeks, and when i wanted to open, it took 1 second for me. Now im feeling like on my 1st galaxy spica.
Is that normal?

I mean, my player is everywhere the same. I tried to install your latest version crdroid-5.0.2-20150121-endeavoru on my HTC One X but I got only an infinit HTC image. I am not very familiar with this things but I think I did what the instructions said:
- start on recovery mod (I am using TWRP v2.6.0.0, the one I used the only time I installed a custom rom);
- installed "crdroid-5.0.2-20150121-endeavoru" and "pa_gapps-stock-5.0.1-BETA12-20150116-signed" and did a data wipe in the end;
- reboot.
As I said, after restarting, I get the HTC start image and nothing progresses. Any idea what I am doing wrong (and how to make my phone back to work)?

I seem to be having problems with the wi-fi when I change the DPI. I set it to 240, it restarts just fine but the wi-fi doesn't turn on anymore. any solutions? thanks

If you put the ROM zip on your PC and open the zip file (not unzip) you'll see a boot.IMG inside,extract the boot.IMG to your pc. I'm assuming you've got the fastboot controls on your PC.

recently I've installed the ROM wich is a great build I must say. The experience is smooth and I haven't got any random reboots. But when I reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the HTC logo. After 3 reboots it will work normal again. Sometimes the WIFI doesn't work after a reboot and I have to reboot it again.
Not experienced anymore in build 20150210
Another problem I have is that the AdBlocker isn't working (I still have advertisements in apps) although I've downloaded the latest host files.

Something that bugs me is the fact that I can't choose wich page of my homescreens is my home-homescreen.

The last things that in my opinion are missing are a good (digital) clock widget and a simple mail client. In the original Sense ROMs the clock is fantastic and the mail client is just good. I'm now using K-9 mail, but I think there are too many opions in it. (suggestions?)
I installed the wrong Gapps
Probably some things are fixed in the newest build, but I can't find the changelog of it on XDA. It's there! And how do I update my ROM (I am used to OTA updaters, idea?)? Just dirty install the new ROM?
The answer is dirty flashing. (just install the ROM and clear cache and dalvik (I guess))

Thank you team for a very good rom. I have an HTC One X [Endeavoro] and have experimented with many roms over time. I always fall back onto JB Sense 5 Blade Elite 2.0 with Lyapota mods flashed.
The CM KitKat roms just didn't tick all the boxes for me. Functionality v battery life.
But I am so impressed with this Rom, especially so early in the development.
With crdroid 5.0.2-20150210, I am running the native launcher with PA Gapps mini. Touch recovery 6.0.4.8 gave me a problem restoring the back up but after allowing root access in dev options (I don't know if that made a difference) and flashing twrp-recovery-hox-2.8.1.0 the twrp back up restored perfectly. The Rom is so smooth, battery life is great and everything works!

If you hold your finger on the screen and the pages display, there is a small home icon at the top of your current home screen, just move it to the one you want, It works.

I've just updated from Pac-Man AIO 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 (RC-3) and everything went smoothly but I'm having trouble with a strange connectivity problem. All my data works, mms, sms, everything, but at some point after running for a while my data drops connection (though it still shows full connectivity, it just won't load anything or send anything) and needs a reboot.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm on a T-Mobile T999 with Wind service in Canada.

I searched the thread and found a few posts about a lack of Wifi Calling for Tmobile in this ROM. Just out of curiosity, has this changed any? Where I live this is basically a necessity due to poor service and it'd really be bad times to miss important phone calls, which has been known to happen until I wander by a window long enough for service to grace me with its presence.
If not, is there some kind of work around? I've looked around and can only find posts from a year or so ago. So i'm guessing either it got fixed or people gave up haha.

I installed the Pac Man Rom and it seems to run fine except I don't have access to google play or any google apps. I installed the gapp pack and still no luck. Now I am trying to run Odin to clean everything back up and I cant. PacMan has its own recovery mode, and when i plug in the cell, Odin doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions? Basically I am trying to run a ROM that is just efficient. I tried one previously and I didnt have WiFi. Now, I don't have google play service to download apps. Any suggestions? At this point, I just want my cell running again. Thanks in advance guys. Happy new year

Issues with notifications, home button - PAC ROM, SGH-T999
Hey y'all! First of all, thanks for the forum, I am using a T-Mobile SGH-T999.
Second of all, I'm having some issues with my recent install of PAC Man ROM (pac_d2lte-release-20141231.zip with gapps4.4.4). The first issue I'm experiencing has to do with the notification drop-down. After I restore from Titanium Backup, I cannot see the tiles or notifications under the notification drop-down. I've browsed through the PAC Settings pretty extensively and have not found a solution to my issue. I did find the tile ribbon that I can activate but it is still inadequate, especially when it comes to notifications.
I do not know if this is a related issue to the one above but, after restoring from Titanium, I do not get a lock screen unless it is on the first boot; after that point, I can make the screen go black with the power button but, when pressed to wake up, the lock screen doesn't come back. Prior to restoring the backup from Titanium, I have no problem getting to the lock screen.
The final issue I am dealing with has to do with the 'home' button on the device. I first thought perhaps it was a hardware issue but, after turning on PIE controls and the navigation buttons, it seems that pressing 'home' does nothing at all.

Not sure what happened to with this rom. Started out as my favorite, had every feature I wanted but between issues with the camera recording and force closes, lags, and automatic irregular reboots, I've been forced to switch roms. Can the devs please work out a fix and release a new update? Would like to come back to this.

BTW, I'm getting closer and closer to giving up on custom roms in general. I don't think I can go on with persistent instability, and even when the roms are stable - important functions like the camera don't work. I've been on a mission to find a 4.3/4.4 and above custom rom that's stable and has a workable camera/recorder. If anyone know of any please let me know..

So far I have not found any problems! The camera works, initially (few min after restarting) the camera was not working, but then it has been fine. LTE works, wifi works, bluetooth seem to work (although I have not tried connecting to any device yet). Everything seem extremely smooth. Of course I am light user, so perhaps their might be things that do not work, but I have not found them yet. The battery seems to last longer now, but I have just started using this for 10 hrs ish.
I have flashed the cm-12-20141214-UNOFFICIAL-d852.zip one, so I don't know about the cm-12-20141215-UNOFFICIAL-d852.zip.

Flashing the new ROM
Would I have to wipe the system before flashing?

Cant seem to get rid of the in/outgoing calls speaker issue.
(Flashed e modem, kk mod modem nothing works)
The problem :
Each call i make or receive sounds fine but after, between 5-15 sec speaker gets muted.
Did a clean install,

I flashed the 12-21 version it everything works great except for mobile data. Does anyone know a fix for this? Also my service seems to cut out more than usual now.

It's not recommended as it may not clear some problems. Your can always try and clean flash later if you are experiencing problems.

Second - have small question: One of the apps my company using required to send SMS for activation (something similar to 2-way activation process from Google). This SMS sent from "Unknown" number in general. The problem that I never received this SMS on the ROM.
Is there any privacy setting that I'm missing?

I'm having difficulty with this ROM / Bluetooth. My LG G Watch R will pair but refuses to connect. I have no such problems with Kit Kat, but seems to be a problem with Lollipop. Anybody else having this problem, or any ideas on how to fix it?

basketbuild build gives errors
I tried the 01042015 build from the basketbuild mirror, and twrp gave me errors when I tried to install the .zip. I luckily also had a copy of the 12292014 build which I was able to use in the meantime (first flash on my D852).
Just thought I'd mention it. Not sure if there's a problem with the build/file, or if for some reason it was just for me (I tried downloading with chrome and ie).

The recommended gapps auto dl's. I tested them last night.

Easy flash. Runs great. No problems so far. By far the easiest flash and smoothest ROM Ive used in a while. Excellent work.

Camera can't respond
From the front facing camera you can't take more then two selfies before it stops working back camera will work from another app like Instagram

If you see any blank fields don't worry we just haven't implemented that feature yet. It'll come.

Camera is a known issue on a lot of lp Roms. I use google camera issue free.

So much thanks to OP for his help, but in not done complaining because I need to know if this truly is a perfect rom... There seems to be a faint green color that appears on my screen and at first I thought it was my phone but then I rebooted and it was normal again is this a bug or a bigger issue?

about the theme chooser
where is the theme chooser??

Anyone have mhl? I've tried to hook up via HDMI adapter without luck.. Anyone duplicate this? Or can confirm mhl is or is not working? Thank you.

TBO Gapps
]I'm a bit confused. Do I install the TBO Gapps or install the recommended Gaps that was previously here for this update (5.1.1)? Also to update from 9.2 to 9.3 is it recommended that I wipe then install a fresh 9.3 rom or can it be flashed over?

Enjoying the latest 9.6 but having an issue with LTE .. using straight talk..

Hey I am completely noob at this I have been getting by with google and leaps of faith rn and I have a few questions that I couldn't find anywhere
But first may I say I love you so much My phone is a amazingly fast now and I am out of jelly bean now.:
1. Battery life- It is now realllly bad I have tried the calibrate thing that you are supposed to do but its some times so bad that when I put my charger and charge it still discharges and only goes back up after it hits 15% or so...This did not happen in jelly bean so just curious is there anything I can do ?
2.Boot time- It takes an awfully long time to boot and once it is booted 30 seconds later it goes back into showing Samsung logo and then 15 seconds of that it goes to the home screen
3.Optimizing apps- Every time I restart it says optimizing apps some times its 94 or times 12 or 46 idk what that is about or if that is supposed to happen
4.DU-updater - I am guessing this is how I am supposed to update. Not entirely sure how though I think I have to download it and then goto twrp and flash it there. not entirely sure...
5.Overheating- The top part of my phone is getting scary hot . I cant touch it for more than 45 seconds. I dont know why I have done everything like I am supposed to and everything else works...
6.OS- Where is it exactly ? Is it on my sd card ? I know I installed it from my sd card and I think it is installed it to the internal storage ... I am not exactly sure and I am scared to take out my sd card ... Also is it safe to move the backed up version of my phone onto my desktop to save space on my phone ?
7. Camera- I noticed that the camera software on my friends phone who were on the lolipop touchwiz camera was clearly much better as I was on jelly bean and I was wondering if the software I have for the camera is on the same level as theirs ? Sorry if it is a confusing question!
I am running a theme and nova launcher on top of the OS could this be a reason be a reason for any of these problems ?
But other than that everything works great and I love you so much man!!!!!! You are a genius. Sorry if I asked dumb questions this is the first time I have successfully done this !!!
