Currently I'm using CM12 [Beta 1] on my XMS and in my gallery app grey images have appeared! I don't think they are images that have been corrupted or have turned grey because I haven't noticed any missing images. They appear in all folders and all my photos are stored in the microSD card (I transfer them to the SD card - maybe this is the problem?). On all of the grey images if I went on details/edit the gallery app would FC and if i tried to set as wallpaper my launcher would stop.
The only option I can do is to delete them but they seem to re appear after a while, plus there's over 500 of them and in some folders, the number of grey pictures is the same as the number of real pictures. When I connect my phone to my computer I can't see any grey pictures. I've attached some screenshots so you can see (Censored my pics with red ofc).
Any help would be appreciated!
Hmm it seems to be a problem with the gallery app. I just have to use QuickPic for now as an alternative.

Have a gt-i9505 cm12 with same gallery app issue... Tried the above and didn't resolve the problem. Any other guess?

I downloaded a pic from my Gmail account and now it has it's own photo album, for some reason I can't delete the picture or the damn album??
I also have what looks like a Picasa album that I can't delete but I don't even have a Picasa account.
Any suggestions. The only pics I can delete are camera photos.
NM figured it out. Annoying.
What did you end up doing?

I'd like to know as well. I have a lot of folders that are empty but i can't get rid o, on both my Transformer and my Nexus
Yeah, I posted a photo to my Google + account and now I have a "posts" album in my gallery. I deleted the photo but the album still exists and it won't let me delete it.

Try using astro file manager.

I suggest you delete it from the sd card.
I'm having a problem with regards to the photo gallery displaying way too many photos and only want to display photos I have stored on the phone and the Instant Upload folder that google plus generates. What do I have to do to make this happen?
I've gone into picasa web galleries and deleted a ton of old ones which aren't relevant anymore, but no matter what I try my gallery app is a mess of photos from posts on google plus with no recognizable folder structure or organization at all.
Should I just give up and use gallery only for local photos and then the google plus app for viewing the instant upload folder?
Is there a third party app that will do what I want?
I really can't help you with the stock gallery app as it blows IMO.
QuickPic from the market will let you display or hide anything you wish.
I love quickpic but it's local files only isn't it?
Clear media storage data

Settings/accounts & sync / click on you Gmail account(s) and uncheck the photos so it doesn't sync with your device.

One X is a great device. So is this one.
Hello,
I feel silly for even asking this but, I have been saving pictures from my gmail, yet they are not showing up in my gallery. I also used a file explorer to try and locate them but no luck there either. The only place they are visible is the stock downloads app. Any suggestions where they are going?! Thanks!
Probably downloads

I am stock, no root or anything. Whenever I open my gallery from another asp to upload a picture, for example from Facebook I upload a picture from my gallery, my gallery is blank. But when I go to my gallery everything is there. It's happening on every app. I did an Odin back to stock so everything should be like new.
Also somewhat unrelated, they seem to sometimes become unsynced automatically sometimes.

Is the date and time set correctly? On my htc incredible S i flashed a new rom and couldnt be stuffed setting my date and time correctly, so my new pictures were put very far back into the album because it was taken "before" the current date.

Ya absolutely. The issue is with the edited pictures .can't seem to find them in the gallery despite the phone showing SAVE SUCCESS after editing them.they only turn up in the Zoe video created automatically for each day.

I've edited some pictures and the edited one's were in the same folder where the original was.
The beam one's were in beam folder and so on.
When I've edited the pictures from another folder the message popped up "picture was not saved in the gallery".
