[Q] jellybean for tab s - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i just bought a galaxy tab s and i wionder can i downgrade the current version that is 4.4.2 kitkat to jellybean 4.1.2. if possible, where can i download the correct rom?

Unable
Sorry pmso but you won't be able to downgrade for 2 reasons, firstly, the firnware/rom doesn't exist for an older version of the OS on the Galaxy tab S, and secondly, and I don't know the reason behind it, but once the 4.4 version is installed onto a device, it locks the device from ever being downgraded to a lower version. I have tried many of times with my old Galaxy S4, but once I was on 4.4 there was no going back.

[Q] upgrade to 4.4.2

I am running 4.2.1 on a Galaxy Nexus model GT-i9250 and I would like to root this phone so I will be able to change to 4.4.2 or what ever is the newest one.
I don't see a question, however, I recommend reading up on the process and give it a go. I have not regretted rooting and flashing new roms.
Android 4.4.2
There are several root-methods. Many say that the Wugfresh toolbox is working great; http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/.
I've my Galaxy Nexus (Maguro) rooted, and I'm now running Android 4.4.2. It's ParanoidAndroid 4 (BETA 3). I would recommend waiting until it's out of beta. It will be great, believe me.

[Q] Galaxy Tab 3 LIte SM-T110 Update?

Just been bought a Galaxy Tab3 8Gb Lite SM-T110 fro my Daughter so she can use a Jawbone up Fitness tracker. We didnt realise at the time that the tracker only works on Androind 4.3 and above but the TAB 3 comes with 4.2.2. When i try a software update is says there isnt any. Is there anyway to get at least Andoid 4.3 onto this device and if so has can some one point me in the correct direction? I keep looking but seems most i can find always say updating to 4.2.2. I dont mind if i have to Root the device.
The lastet Version is V4.2.2 for the Tab 3 lite, also we havent got a Customrom with higher Version.

Haven't changed my bootloader

Hey guys, so Ive had a S4 (M919N MetroPCS variant) since it first came out. It originally had Jellybean (4.2.2) installed when I bought it. Long story short, I upgraded to AOSP KitKat 4.4.4 and then later upgraded to AOSP 6.0.1
But, I checked out my baseband on my phone and it says "M919NUVUAMF2". This indicates that I still have the Jellybean modem correct? And what are the consequences if I don't get the suited modem/bootloader for my device when upgrading unofficially. it hasn't affected my phone in any way and I've been going back and forth on ROMS from AOSP to TouchWiz varying from KitKat to Lollipop to Marshmallow. Is it essential for me to change my bootloader when flashing a new rom

Firmware

Hi all,
In the past I have rooted my Galaxy note 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, etc with no problem and installed cyanogenmod and other roms. However, I do not recall to be worried about the firmware version of each rom, I can see a lot of roms here that needs a specific firmware version, my question is:
If I update the firmware for a specific time, may I downgrade it if I want to roll back to the old rom after a while? Is there any risk to brick my device by running different firmware version than the one to the rom? What exactly is inside the firmware?
Thank you in advance

cyanaogen 12.1 galaxy tab 3 7.0 sm-t210

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to update my sm-t210 tablet.
I already flashed the TWRP, but when I try to install cyanogen 12.1, it writes error signal 4.
I think it should not be the right version of cyanogen, because I have a tablet without GSM, with only wifi, and I think that the ROM I had was made for GSM tablet.
Does anyone know or find the right ROM for my tablet?
I would prefer a ROM under android 5, but if there are others with a higher android, it does not matter.
thanks a lot for your help
