I usually write detailed reviews about products I have tested and verified, instead of those I read about or seen in crowdfunding campaigns. As a matter of fact, I'm very skeptical about such campaigns because 2014 has been a big disappointment with a number of projects I have been looking forward to (some with smart devices promised back in 2013). It's a first time I'm bring something like this up, and in no way am I associated or involved with this particular project. Just after reading all the discussions on XDA about MI fitness tracker and some other basic bracelet type fitness trackers, when I saw this particular watch - I was so impressed that I wanted to share with you about it.

The project is NEVO watch with a smart functionality and activity tracker: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nevo-the-first-minimalist-connected-watch
What's really cool about it - it looks like a regular high quality fashion watch with a minimalistic approach of a led dial which tracks your progress toward the daily goal set within an app. It also provides notifications in a form of a vibration whenever you get a call or email/txt, etc. But the coolest part, the watch mechanism runs off a regular battery which should last at least 5 years, while smart functionality of the watch is powered off another battery which should last you at least 6 months. Both batteries are common type and easy to replace.
I see so many people with these ugly plastic wrist bands that have only one functionality of an activity tracker. Now, you can have a classy looking watch with activity tracker already built in. And from what I understand, this is not a vaporware but a product which has been already designed and tested, at least prototype of it, including software as well. Either way, I'm not preaching or saying it's a must have product, but rather would like to share with you about it since I personally find it to be fascinating!

svetius: "jump to your device" -- shouldn't this go above the dropdown so no rollover
Hey I cannot quarrel with the man who brought Youtube embeds within 48 hours or initial request... (btw, am I the only one using it? ... wait, let me answer that: yes. But I like it, so thank you !)
That pair of "quick navigation to your phone" tools at top right has been really great. It's just that enroute to using the text box to type in "desire" I almost always rollover the dropdown which causes an obstruction to my desired objective.
You probably wrestled with this and have reasons for the way you did it. But just in the event you were really really smashed that night and really had no rationale whatsoever and just flipped a coin, are you open to trying to flip the two...
Another unsolicited usability comment in the spirit of improvement. The xda favicon is such a welcome change from the boring vBulletin v, but I find it hard to read.
Did you ever come across how they went about remaking the YouTube favicon to improve its readability? It sounded very esoteric by god it did the job... A reader submitted it -- and YouTube took her up on it, and adopted it:

About the drop down...in the forum redesign we're working on, you must click the drop down to get it to open.
About the fav icon...feel free to make one that is better than the current. All of us are quite pleased by the new icon. It's not perfect, but making a legible 16x16 graphic is very difficult.
Three words that stand out in that title; Cost-effective, sports & bluetooth. All things that I really want for a curricular activity. This set is made to resist moisture such as sweat and rain. It is not a bad option to look into if you are in the market for a bluetooth headset.
The fit was actually one my main concerns. In the past I tried the Motorola set that looks like this set and it was terribly uncomfortable. At the time I was working for a lawn care/ landscaping company as a Crew Leader and needed to be able to answer the phone at any given moment to speak with supervisors and the owner of the company. Before I ventured into the wireless headsets, I well, obviously was using wired sets and ended up tearing up too many to keep up with. Long story short I got tired of paying for new headsets because the number one issue was the wire getting in the way.
When I got a bluetooth headset it was like salvation. I was free! There were no more wires to get in the way, it was easy to wear and I got to listen to music all day long. This is where this headset can come in handy.
Life has changed a bit and I am no longer working for that company, but I do like to go jogging and again the wire was annoying at times. I love not having to worry about a wire. I look forward to using this set for future runs.

Next up I named Radar - The sweeping second hand, well sweeps like radar. Also, the red spot on the inner circle is the batter percentage traveling around the circle.

Lastly (for now) I named this one simply Rotation. Is is a play off the stock rotator face. Sweeping seconds dial.

When I read watchfaces by a noob I thought... Anyway I love two out the 3 and they are on my phone. Well done and thanks! The 3d is good but I've one like it. The best is the first IMO. Looks like a car speedo.
Sent by entanglement.
Thanks, I seem to toggle between the radar one and the speed dial one most. Just getting into the designing so who knows what else may come to mind
like the last one!
post it on watchmaker's google+ page too! there's a lot of activity there
the last is beautiful
Thanks guys, ironically its the one I use the least. Will be uploading a few more today
Here are the next two, same thing just one light one dark.

Hey! I recently bought a motorcycle and found a way to mount my Sony Smartwach 3 to the handlebar. This works amazing in for Google Maps, but I thought it might could become even cooler, if there was a way to create a watchface that would be able to display the current speed you are traveling. Has anyone ever seen a watchface like that or knows if this is even possible?
Thanks!
I think it could be possible using Tasker.
I'm waiting for my watch, it should arrive this week

I bought Tasker a while ago, but never used it. If you figure something out, please let me know!
Backcountry navigator has a watchface which shows speed, distance and elevation. It is meant for off-road travel, but does show speed.
It is a bit pricey, best t has a trial. Here is a link to the trial. I am not positive the trial allows you to use the Wear capability, but I think it does.

Here is a screenshot of the watchface. You can choose from many sources. I have put a request out to the devs to allow customization of the font color, because the white does seem to blend with some https://www.dropbox.com/s/bezln0053vcmqk6/BackcountrNav.jpg?dl=0

I think my answer was quite incomplete. There is an app Watchface Maker which support Tasker variable. You need to use both to achieve that. Or try to join Watchface Maker community in Google+ and make/search the request.

Ok before you laugh, have a look about the internet, I was frankly stunned by this old news, as I would have gone all in on a Microsoft/Nokia Feature Phone. I would still drop my Android in a heart beat to have this. As for years I ran an Old Audiovox SMT 5600 WinMo 5 candy bar phone, even with the T9 text it did all I ever wanted phone calls, texts, and music in my pocket. None of the fancy streaming or data collection crap with facebook and it's evil partners
Any way I stray away from the Topic.... Sources for the Microsoft RM-1181/82/83
Windows Central Zac Bowden did a write up of a hands on.....
https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-feature-phone-rm-1182-windows
Nokia Power User also had pics and a write up
RM-1182 was a Microsoft-branded Feature-phone
RM-1182 seems to be a Microsoft-branded Feature-phone
nokiapoweruser.com
A YouTube video of it's startup, prototype password stuff
Then to my surprise a few are in the wild and for sale.....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295117884704
I would buy one, but I have no idea how much is working, what of the phone works, or how to even start to poke about and look to rip out a rom to see if other newer Hardware in the HMD/Nokia line could be made to run what ever this runs. It comes from China, so I am guessing it will take forever to get one with the world in the state it's in.
In any case just putting it out to see if anyone gets sparked with an itch. I know my itch is sparked and I have no idea how long I can hold off trying to grab one. As I have been thinking of going back to a feature phone for some time as I have no need for all the crap a Smart Phone does, but I am older and not driven by a need for social media junk.
