Can the lg home app from 5.0 be ported to cm12 or does it require the framework
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
it is not possible, this also including no LG Keyboard, LG Camera, Quick memo, and all LG apps.
I'm a newbie, but i think it is because of the different framework

The Keyboard already has been ported and the G2's Camera App has been ported, too.
But it's not as easy as pulling the apk and installing it (for most apps), so you'd have to wait for a dev to this hard work. Especially the camera isn't easy to port, if it's possible at all.
But I don't understand why you would want to use the stock launcher when you got Trebuchet...
The stock launcher doesn't have a single advantage, it's slow, ram-heavy and not customizable.
I just hate trebuchet and google now launcher really like lg' launcher personal preference

Here again with another question: is there a better app drawer than the stock one? I saw one with alphabetical divisions, but don't remember where... Any clue?

LauncherPro. Better app drawer, and better overall home launcher. IMO
go Launcher has a nice app drawer.

That sounds a little bit like the drawer that LG put on their handsets, which has user-definable sections in the menu.
Also, +1 for LauncherPro.
An excellent little app IMO.
I already installed launcherpro and I like it, but its app drawer hasn't more functions than the stock one (you can simply hide some apps) it just looks cooler .
I'm looking for something more customizable, as the one from LG.

You could try ADW Launcher.
But, to be honest, apart from the LG stock launcher, I'm not sure there's anything out that that'll really do what you want.
Thanks step666 I'm starting to think the same thing. So at the moment I'll keep the launcherpro menu with some apps hided.

Adw is a good option if you want to separate apps and launcher pro plus is hardly any better from my limited experience with both ( about 3 days for each)

What some of you seem to be forgetting/missing about LauncherPro is that it's main purpose is not to overhaul the App Drawer - it's not called AppDrawerPro.
What it's designed for, it's very good at IMO.
As for ADW, a friend recommended it to me but I found it to be very poor in comparison to LauncherPro.
Yes, it has more features, especially with regards to the App Drawer, but they're not all that well implemented.

With the TouchWiz UX launcher is there a way to remove infinite scrolling of the background? if so it would be very helpful if you could post a solution.
Unlikely
It's not possible to remove the infinite scrolling for touchwix launcher.
HOWEVER, you can try using Apex launcher. It's highly customizable and it's free.
A few of the functions includes "Drag-and-drop" folders, gestures, animation and theming.
Not trying to advertise Apex launcher or anything but this is one of the top-notch launcher for now.
Thanks I normally use apex

hey mate please please your awesome launcher just needs one small thing to be the best : swyping ...
i noticed that going from screen to screen needs a big swype, me comming from apex, used to a small swype to get to the next screen, so in ur UX i find my self, many times, stuck at a screen not going anywhere .......other than that its the best....
Do you have a link for the beta?

Hello there, I'm currently running on Cyanogenmod 11 Android version 4.4.2. I was wondering if there were any ways to use icon packs with having to install 3rd party apps like Next Launcher, Apex Launcher, etc.
I really like the way my UI looks and I don't want to use unnecessary Launcher apps. Someone please tell me if this is possible or not.

What Launcher are you guys using? I personally use Nova, paired with the G3 stock ui is a pretty sweet combination and improves performance.
Apex, pretty much the same
Nova all the way.
But I'm wondering how Nokia's zLauncher is. And/Or will the 18k plus laying off of jobs by Microsoft will affect zLauncher?
I use Nova too but original LG widgets are unable to load on Nova. Anyway workarounds?

I'm using LG Home for the LG widgets. I really like their calendar widget. I wish the left panel was a bit more useful, though. I'll probably eventually switch back to Nova.

Stock atm
LGG3 and beyond
Action Launcher Pro
Tried both LG launcher and Nova Prime. Nova is significantly snappier than the LG launcher so I went that route.
Blinkfeed ☺ just seems right on a LG screen

I usually always use Nova, but since day one I've used LG. Sure I'll end up using Nova but once you go there....your there! I'm trying to hold out and give stock a chance. Makes my phone still feel new instead of the same themes I've used on my S5, on my Note3 on my Nexus, Etc etc etc.......
I'm still optimistic about getting my LG Smart World themes to work.
I wonder if I can port Touchwiz Themes from my S5?????
Has anyone had success getting knock off to work on nova launcher?

The way I have it now is;
Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
Then set double tap in Gestures (Nova Settings) to launch Screen Off. Works perfect, however I would love to find a solution without the use of a third party screen off app.
Thanks, that works great!

I'm using the G3 TweaksBox exposed module and there is an option for a double tap of the notification bar to turn the screen off. It doesn't work on the whole screen, but just the notification bar, so you have to have good aim. Lol. But it does work well.
Nova is working flawless for me

Double tapping the status bar works by default on stock to turn the screen off.

Is there a way of getting blinkfeed on the G3 ? That would be awesome.
Hi
I just recive my LG G3, really cool phone, but i got some little freeze on the stock launcher, so i download Nova Launcher.
And i can't use stock widgets like weather, music app, diary...
It's really annoying, can we do something ?
Thanks
Nobody know ?
You cant.
Stock widgets work only in stock launcher.
Yes, it's a shame that you can't but it's true. You'll have to find alternatives. I use nova as well and I have all the widgets I need.
Maybe someone here can offer an alternative to the one you're looking for. What widget do you use?
For example I use the LG Music app or the weather/clock widget who is very cool. On a other launcher we loose the LG design who I really like !
