Hey guys!
I updated to Lollipop but I really miss a fantastic app: GMD Gesture Control.
It give you possibility to draw a gesture in any screen and launch an app or a shortcut.
Now I solved installing Finger gesture launch that is similar to it but with this I always have to click on a bottom before drawing a gesture and it isn't smooth.
What app are you using to replace it?
Thank in advance.
forget it! the beste gestures app is "all in one gestures". try it.
Only there is a bug on lock screen.
ps. I use 12 hotplug (see settings)

I tried it but it just allow me to swipe from edges. I want to draw so I don't mistake launching an app when I don't want.
Nobody have any other solution?
I really miss this awesome app!
I also really miss this app. I'm impatiently waiting on the devs to make it compatible with lollipop

Probably they won't make it compatible with Lollipop since last update is from June.
We'll have to wait until Gesture Anywhere will be added in the roms by developers.
This app maybe?
Try All in One Gestures, maybe you like it?

Done yet but no, it isn't what I'm looking for.
It seems I'll have to wait until all developers will add Gesture anywhere in all their roms.
Latest liquid lollipop smooth rom has gesture control

Gesture anywhere still requires you to slide from the edge to toggle the region to draw the gestures, no?
What I like about GMD gesture is that you can assign gestures for even system stuff like volume, screen lock, keyboard etc without needing any other plugins. Is there any alternatives on this?
Good news guys!
I sent an email to the developer of the app and he replied he's working on lollipop support.

I have cm10 with expanded desktop but I'm wondering if anyone has done a mod where a gesture will toggle the visibility of the soft keys. It's exactly what I, along with a ton of other people, are looking for. Hell, I'll pay someone to do it for us!!

What I think would be nice is if we could just get rid of the navbar and replace it with a gesture from the bottom edge to reveal the ring in my screenshot, except the nav controls will be on that ring
AFAIK GMD gesture control supports this. Not quite sure. Just try the lite version first.

Few options are out there already.
GMD - You can set various swipes such as 45* up/left for back, up for home, etc, activated at the bottom.
App that I forget the name of but enables pie control in any app. You can set multiple layers as well as an inner and outer pie ring, but this can get a bit clustered. Realistically you can probably set all of your most used apps into the pie on various layers though and get rid of every shortcut.
Latest PA has a more feature rich but less customized pie. Battery bar, time, notifications, access notification panel, per-app color of pie, and more. However, unlike the app above you cannot add additional items into the pie, at least not yet.

LMT with PIE Control is IMHO the Name of the app. In the last version it includes also the swipe from the bottom like in Para...Rom (don't know the name of the rom right now). But it's not the same. A simple swipe from the bottom and it should show the orig. softkeys. That would be soooooo cool! I would never ever switch back and set the expanded desktop active
I have GMD installed and I was not able to hide only the soft keys.
The only option I found hides the soft keys AND the notification bar on the top of the phone, so valuable info like battery, signal strength etc are also hidden.
Any ideas to hide only the soft keys?

Not totally gesture but u must take a look at paranoid android PIE control. It's still in beta but it has a lot of potential.
I think u would like it.... Here are some examples...

Exactly what I was looking for
But how stable is paranoid android compared to CM10
My main issue is I haven't found a good way of hiding the softkeys. GMD closes the whole SystemUI so lose the top bar and app switcher, and the Fullscreen Toggle that a lot of people use removes the in-app menu button which is not ideal as I don't really want to have a gesture just to access the basic menu.
Is there a good way of doing this that I've missed?

I'm running it from day 1 (got my N4 since half December) and it's perfectly stable. I always wait a little while before updating and follow the tread to be sure there are no great bugs. If everything's ok then I'll update to a newer version. The PIE option is really Beta so there will be some bugs.
I think u just must try it, paranoid android is really a original and renewing ROM. Not just because the pie, but also the hybrid, per app color and dpi option.
It's just as stable, if not more stable then cm10.1 The rom is based on AOSP so should be as stable as the original one.

Paranoid Android ROM has a new mod called "pie". Its exactly what you're looking for. You can use an app called Smart statusbar and it works beautifully with PIE.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I downloaded GMD pro and so far it's pretty cool. That PIE mod looks amazing. Any way someone can rip it and make it work with any ROM? If not, I might have to bite the bullet and just flash the ROM.

another option might be the Hide Bottom Bar app from the play store.
Hello,
is there an app out which perform navbar actions (home/back/multitasking) with swipe gestures?
Like if you swipe from the bottom up it goes back to the Launcher like the home Button?
Would be very nice
Thanks in advance
im pretty sure most launchers from the play store can do this. try apex or nova
I dont think any launcher can do this ^^
But i found a solution : LMT
Pie-Features with LMT Launcher *Root*

Hi, LMT Launcher indeed does what you want.
Here is a link to the XDA Forum Page.
Also, a few of the ROMs in the GNEX Forum come with Pie Features in-built. eg: ParanoidAndroid, ATOM, Xylon, etc.

Ya i know , im using jbsourcery , but the pies take very more time than the normal softkeys or the gestures
And LMT's gesture or ISAS feature doesnt react properly (not as fast as the normal softkeys)..
I want sth. similar to Zephyr for IOS .. Swipe up from the bottom to go back to the Homescreen or pull up the Multitasking..
Nothing like that out yet?

Hi all. I tried both Action and Nova launchers and while I like both I'd rather just stick with the stock launcher. One thing I greatly miss though is the gestures, specifically the option to swipe down from anywhere in the home screen to expand quick tiles.
I searched the Play Store and found a couple gesture apps but came up empty. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks. Just downloaded it and it looks like it only supports making new tiles, not a quick gesture to quickly expand quick settings unfortunately.
If you're rooted then give GMD gesture control a try. Fully customizable gesture support. It's one of the primary reasons why I root my devices. I particularly like having custom edge gestures to make one handed operation very easy. I've got several apps and functions mapped to thumb gestures of various shapes/directions from the right edge. Works great.
why not just swipe down from the top with two fingers?
I know its not 'anywhere' on the screen, but its just what you want.

Because I'd rather be able to swipe from anywhere on the screen like you can set up in Nova Launcher.
Hopefully I'm wrong but my gut tells me that in order to get what you want an app would have to intercept touchscreen input while the default home screen is active . . . and that would require root.
LMT looks like the app you're looking for.

Xposed + Gravity Box + Enable Pie Control, then just configure the trigger edges the way you like.
Works so much better than the gesture control.

Look into LMT launcher then.
Unlike it's name it actually isn't a launcher but a very minimalistic open implementation of Pie controls.
It requires root to function properly but at least no Xposed is involved.

I might try that. But the choice is between either on screen buttons or gestures in Miui. How do I disable gestures in Miui without having the buttons?

Thing is that I don't want the on screen buttons and I do want MIUI full screen gestures. I guess that's not possible, in MIUI it's one or the other. I'll have to live with that or use another launcher. Minor issue, since the phone is working excellent!
Yeah for that your only options at the moment are either to run the unofficial RR build with Arasthel's gestures baked in or Xposed plus Xposed Edge module.
The next best thing you could go for other than that would be XDA's gestures application, but that one simulates the gestures as found on the iPhone / OnePlus devices, so they work a bit differently (the back gesture works differently).
You can edit your buildprop to tell your phone you have hardware keys. It will then remove the navbar for you. You can then use edge gestures, Swipe navigation etc.

Easy if your are using magisk.
1.- Disable gestures.
2.- Install "Hide navigation bar" magisk module.
Best regards.
Or disable them via a adb setprop command without requiring root, etc.

Where i can find the RR rom with miui gestures
Andy Yan's thread. It's a collection of roms he compiles.
Make gboard smaller by entering one hand mode, then relocate keyboard in the middle. I use this with Huawei Mate 10 Pro and it's the only way I can still use the full screen gestures and enjoy the experience.
Is there a way to obtain gesture controls as in 9.5.14 with an App or Flashable zip?or is it there included in any custom ROMs?

You Can Find A Ton Of "Pie Style" Gesture Controls On The Playstore..
And it's my understanding that some of the custom ROM's have gestures baked in.
But NONE of them will work as good as the gesture option that come with MIUI 9.
To have the whole lower half of the Left and Right edges to swipe in on.. as well as the whole lower bezel to swipe up on...
Well... I can never go back to reaching for specific areas to push a buttons..
So I guess I'm stuck on a Stock or Debloated version of MIUI 9 / 10 as long as I own this device.

When you have used GMD gesture, you will never revert back to those less-appealing solution. Current gesture implementation only only for certain gesture. But GMD gesture allow you to create custom gesture, limiting to certain edge detection, multiple touch point support, per-app setting, and many built-in function, including shortcut to tasker/automagic task/flow. It requires root, however consider you are willing to flash a zip, you must have root access already.
Good news is the app almost doesn't drain extra battery. I have Automagic and GMD Gesture running 24/7, still got similar battery life compared to others, 10-12 hours in 1-1,5 days. This app is one of the reason I still root till dates.
