I have this tv, and I want to ask about screen mirroring:
http://www.samsung.com/pl/consumer/tv-audio-video/televisions/led/UE32H5500AWXXH
I must say that the "cast screen" is not working, my tv is not available on list, nothing is. But, allcast app is working fine. But it doesn't give me what I really want.
I want real-time desktop to tv mirroring from s4 mini, on cyanogenmod. Screen mirroring is working fine on stock rom, with real-time sending display.
It is possible, if yes, how?
Thank's at advance!

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Grand and a Samsung T.V ( f5500). The TV supports screen mirroring but my phone doesn't I.e. if I go to more settings there is no option for Allshare cast. Since having a galaxy phone is there some type of custom ROM or any way which will help me in screen mirroring ? Because my phone has features similar to S3 like best face, smart stay etc. Any sort of hack or application?
Nope Its Not Supported !

AllShare App is presently called has Samsung Link I guess and the feature u r talking abt is not there in this But u can use chromecast device to do this but it needs HIGH SPEED INTERNET Wifi..
The chrome cast uses DLNA (so shouldn't it be fast?)? And secondly, how fast internet connection do I require. On thing I have heard is that Google doesn't officially support screen mirroring, somebody modified it to do so. So would it be reliable?
Thanks anyways for replying me.

Lollipop upgrade: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../rom-cm-12-1-galaxy-grand-duos-i9082-t3073108
Just upgrade Galaxy Grand lollipop (cm12). Then you can get Cast Screen option in notification pannel. Turn on your WiFi and TV's WiFi and WiFi direct but don't connect anywhere. after that go to notification pannel touch and hold Cast Screen option , enable Show wireless screen. You can see your TV name at there. Just tap that name. Now you can enjoy Screen mirroring.

Hi everyone.
I'm running the latest build of SPMC on my FireTV (not rooted), but when I try mirror my iPad screen to it, nothing happens. The status bar turns blue to indicate mirroring is working, but nothing comes up on SPMC. I've turned on AirPlay in the SPMC settings, so that can't be it. Would really appreciate some help
Thanks

From what I understood, airplay has been broken since iOS 7 and Mavericks in XBMC. I'd recommend using an app like Reflector to do airplay- it works flawlessly, but isn't free. You can see a demo of it at the end of my tutorial video here.
Thanks for the help mate. Unfortunately I cannot root my FireTV (UK user here), is that a problem?
Try AirPlay/DLNA Receiver Pro. It works fine on the FireTV. Only crypted streams are not supported.
I am using AirReceiver from the AAS and it works flawless but some Videos from Youtube fail.
I also use AirPlay/dlna receiver pro and it works great!
Youtube doesn't work because it is encrypted but I thinknjts the same with a genuine appletv
If you use the jasmine app on your iPad/iPhone , then youtube will work fine.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Do these apps allow me to AirPlay mirror my iOS screen, or are they only for airplaying multimedia?

The app I mentioned is able to run from startup automatically, doesn't need root and it supports full proper mirroring as well as showing photos/videos
On your iPhone/iPad just select the firetv in the AirPlay section. Once you connect there will be an extra button underneath to turn on mirroring.
Mirroring has lower general image quality so if viewing photos /videos I'd leave mirroring off.

guys just wondering, what's the best Dongle for screen mirroring for LG G3?
I had the Samsung All Share Cast before on my note 3, but it wont work with LG G3.
Basically I just wanna be able to play videos from my LG G3 on the TV and Youtube.
Would Chromecast work? or Roku is better?
I have chromecast and miracast works like a charm from day 1 when I got my phone. It is official supported for G3. Also other cool apps like netflix, youtube, chrome, play music all access, etc. work with it.
Chromecast works with any android 5.0 for 4.4 and before you can try an app called Mirror-enabler (search for it here in xda) I have 2 unofficial supported devices working with it (galaxy s3 mini and xiaomi mi2s).

Thanks for your input.
Im deciding between Chromecast or AmazonFire Sticky or the EzCast by Measy
I'd recommend Chromecast, you can not only 'cast' from apps like youtube, netflix, etc, but you can also Cast your whole screen (Actual screen mirroring) for games and whatever else. Not sure if amazon, etc do that.

oh cool...
is there a lag or delay in the casting?
I know this is old but miracast now works for the Roku 3, which blows the chromecast out of the water.
Hey guys.
Did not want to create a new thread, so I'm resurrecting this one.
I'm a g3 user with an smart TV. I do have a generic slim port adapte which works fine.
What I'm wondering is, I'm still not sure which is the best way to play videos on. TV. I couldn't notice the difference between them.
Slimport
Miracast direct wifi
Phone connected to TV over USB and the smart TV plays the video.
What are the pros and cons of these 3 methods do you think?
Thanks in advance!

I cannot believe that nobody wants to use a tab s in combination with a Samsung tv!
I have an 10.5" and a Samsung smart TV, where do i get smart view from.
John.
I seemed to have it in the past, but can also no longer find it. I have both a S 8 and S10, and neither view it as a working title. I searched high and low to find out why, and it seems that it no longer can connect to newer Samsung TV sets. The iOS app works great, so its really annoying that my brand new samsung tablets cannot connect to my brand new samsung TV's, despite the fact that my much older iPhone 6 and iPad Air2 can connect without issue.
I did find a lot of people saying SmartView was also killed off for WatchOn. But, opening watchon on a brand new tablet gets an error about not being able to connect to the server. After doing some more digging, it appears Samsung killed this app/service at the end of 2014. So, if anyone has any ideas as to what I can use as a replacement, then please let me know, as this is the last missing piece for my Smart Home controller
I cannot find an Samsung app, I thought it was called allshare, I did download an app called "play to samsung" and it does work with my tv to an extent.
EDIT: Try This.
http://www.whistleout.co.uk/MobilePhones/Guides/How-to-use-Samsung-AllShare-on-your-TV-and-PC
John.
Allshare allows you to send data from your mobile to your TV (videos, pictures, music). Smart view does the opposite and is sending your TV screen to your mobile.

There are 2 versions:
Smart View 2.0
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.companion
SmartView 1.0
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sec.smartview.tz
Just give them a try
None of these versions is working on the tab s. That's a shame, cause the only reason to have a Samsung tab was smart view and my TV at home. If I had known that Samsung apps are not working on a Samsung tab, I had choosen definitly a tab from another manufacturer.
I tried also the customized versions you can find using google or here in the forum.
Did you read the link i posted earlier showing you have to activate the feature in the setting menu.
John.
Yes, I saw your link, but I think, you didn't read my postings: allshare allows you to browse content on your phone using your TV.
Smart view allows the other way and is able to send the TV signal to your mobile device.
You can follow the TV program that way in another room than your TV is localized. That is the feature I am searching for. You cannot do that using allshare.

Remote Control works using Smart View 1.0 with T800 but nothing shows up in dual view. It works fully with T520. I do not have the 8.4. (I had to use my smartphone to download a copy of SmartView 1.0, send it to dropbox then download/install in tablet).
Same here, remote control works with several versions, but no dual view...
I have a Galaxy Tab S (Android 5.021) and am mirroring to a 58" HDTV using Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.
The picture looks fine on the Tab S but is compressed 3 inches on each side of the TV (vertical black bars).
Additionally the sound lags the picture by about a half second or more and the picture occasionally judders, both of which can be seen on the tablet screen. I've experienced 2 lockups while trying to get things working. Will these problems be corrected with Android 5.1 and when will it be available for the Tab S?
Screen mirroring sucks for trying to stream video, I've never had any success with it on any Samsung device. Personally I'd just get a cable.
No problems with chromecast mirroring, but I wouldn't mirror anyway because you don't need to with a chromecast.

The Tab S mirrors flawlessly with my Windows 8 .1 laptop.
So what am I missing then? Because I tried with a Galaxy S3, S5 with Chromecast and a Tab S and none of them streamed video without screen lag.

Can i ask why you mirror rather than stream direct?
How do you stream direct? You mean with WIFI Direct?

Not talking screen lag, which microseconds, I am referring to sound lagging the picture - i.e. severe lip-sync.

What I mean is, for what reason would you ever have to use screen mirroring when everything can be streamed directly?
Anything local, anything on a media server and anything from the Internet can all be streamed directly.
Well, I was emulating SNES games via my GS3 and was going to play the old Mario games on a TV bigger screen - But couldn't because of the lag.

I see, you'd probably be better with an mhl adapter.
Yeah tht's what I was going to do, then I got a tablet. 10.5 inch screen is big enough to play some retro snes on.

Yesterday, I discovered that the tablet aspect ratio 16:10 vs 16:9 on the TV - which explains the black bars. Dumb mirroring devices do not adjust the tablet's aspect ratio to fill the TV screen as casting devices, such as Chromecast, do. However some android apps will resize their output so that it will fill the screen even with a mirroring device such as the MWDA.
For some unknown reason, my other problems have disappeared (for now).
