my over all thoughts. its a beautifully made external power bank. twice the size of anything i was ever given the chance to test. its charged my ipod and my note 3 and wifes s3 from dead to full no issues. my only two issues.
1. i have a dell studio laptop. i have a larger 9 cell battery on it. well this will register its connected but not charge. little disappointed.
2. I have a asus tablet. shares same connection as most samsung tablets. while it comes with a plethora of connectors.this one seems to be lacking. as for usb .not enough juice to charge it with cord that way.
over all its a great bank. if your looking to have juice in a emergency then this is for you. if your looking to do every device you own. check compatibility first.
thank you for your time.

Review of NewTrent NT120C CarbonPak 12000 mAh external battery w/pics!!

This is a review of NewTrent NT120C CarbonPak 12000 mAh external battery: http://www.newtrent.com/carbonpak.html
High capacity external batteries are becoming very common these days, more affordable, and smaller in size thanks to evolution of battery cell technology. What is great, and speaking from a personal experience, they can be used as little power hot spots when you need to charge up your device on a go and nowhere near the power outlet. Or another use I found, whenever I'm using my android on-a-stick connected to tv - I no longer need to run power wire from outlet, just connect external battery and that's it. I decided to review the new NT120C model because it offers all these benefits at a very affordable price.
Measured at 258g (9.1oz) it's not the lightest, thus not exactly very pocket friendly. But it has small dimensions of about 110mm x 75mm x 20mm which is very impressive for 12000 mAh capacity external battery. The top and bottom finish of the battery is piano glossy, but don't count on it to stay that way for a long time since your fingerprints will be all over it On top you get a power and led indicator line. I guess something new and original from typical 4-5 leds, this one has a lightpipe partitioned in 4 segments corresponding to 25% battery increments. The battery itself is very straightforward. You get micro usb input which charges the battery at 1A and also will mean about 12hr of charging time. And you get 2 full usb outputs, one labeled as 2.1A and another one as 1A. The lines between Apple and Android are blurred in this one, and obviously our Note 2 will benefit from a faster 2.1A charging. You can charge two devices simultaneously, very common with such dual output external battery. The real capacity will be closer to 9000 mAh or slightly below because you will loose efficiency during 5V usb conversion, another common thing with all the batteries. One additional bonus feature of this battery is that it should continue charging your phone beyond hitting 100% mark. You know how you typically read about keeping phone on a charger for a little bit longer so you can get extra juice. Apparently this battery will allow the same functionality. (*** edit *** I confirmed our Note 2 stops the charging at 100%, and doesn't allow this external battery to overcharge it, so this feature doesn't work with Note 2. not a biggy anyway).
Overall a solid battery, and considering my previous experience with NewTrent products, I trust their quality. Not too many external batteries I trust or recommend (and always encourage to stay away from any ebay no-name part), but this one is definitely one of those that gets my recommendation.

Thanks for the feedback, I am also still very satisfied with mine. Great powerbank!
Thanks for the video!
One of the better investments I've made. Has a great charging capability If you are charging a phone and does alright charging my iPad 3. Only downside I see is that it takes 15+ hours to fully charge after being fully drained. I chose to find a 7" tablet case to store mine in for travel.

IMPRESSIONS
This charger blew the socks off my OEM charger. I got it when I had my HTC One M7 and the charger that came with that phone did an okay job - but it was more like a trickle charge. When using this charger, I was able to get a full charge from an almost drained battery in about 2 hours. And it was roughly the same time to charge both my wife's Samsung S4 and my M7 at the same time. :highfive:
This charger is great. It has two ports and it is has good build quality. I have been using it now for a few months and it is still going strong and charges my Nexus 6 great when I don't want to use the insanely fast turbo charger.
Not quite sure what the "Smart" port is for - the box did not come with a description on that.
RECOMMENDED
I would recommend anyone in search of a USB wall charger to purchase this product. I have used OEM chargers, and cheap replacement ones, and this one beats all the ones I've owned, hands down.
Will this work with a Kindle?
"Smart" USB chargers include solid state logic with serial communications chips. When you plug in a device that wants higher current, it sends a query to the power supply saying something to the effect of "I want 2 amps. Is that OK?" If the power supply is a dump USB port, it doesn't answer at all, so the device either doesn't work, or only draws the default 500 mA (and charges much more slowly.)

Aukey Portable(ish) 10,000mAh External battery charger

Link to purchase: http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-10000mAh-Portable-External-Supported/dp/B011U0AY22/
I got this to unit to test and in exchange to share my personal experience with the external charger. When I was given the opportunity to review an external charger, I requested one that could perform quick charging on my wife's M8 and my Nexus6. And it happened that Aukey was looking on some people to review their newly released external chargers. I initially thought, "great! a new portable charger that's 10,000mAh! With certified Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 to boot!
When I received my unit, I immediately thought how thin it was but when I opened up the packaging, I was pretty excited for this for some reason. Maybe because this is the first charger I had that can be used without being plugged in to use Quick Charge? Possibly. In looking at the battery itself, it's a bit lighter than my other 4 year old 10,000 mAh portable battery, However, this Aukey has Quick Charge 2.0 AND a flashlight. LOL Well I never really understood the reasoning of adding flashlights to external/portable batteries. It's great to have during a power outtage, but that's it really. There is not other usages I can personally think of to use it in a everyday carry bag. Don't get me wrong, the matte finish all around warrants the relatively cheap price for a 10k battery, but my one gripe is that the battery is pretty long. It doesn't really easily fit into a pocket. You have to put this in a bag, no question. For me, I had to store it in my glove compartment until I needed to use it.
When initially charging it up, it uses a micro USB cord. A great thing because my other older 10k battery uses a proprietary cord/adapter combo to charge the 4 year old battery pack. Also I realized the "Aukey" label lights up and is colorized and based on the color represents the current battery level of the battery. I need to mention when not fully charged, the "Aukey" logo that is lit up, "breathes" while it's charging, making the sense that it's alive and resting or sleeping lol.
Would I recommend this portable(ish) battery pack with Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0? YES for me. For 30 bux on Amazon, it's not bad, but if you are looking to stuff it in your pocket, look elsewhere. This is a laptop bag battery where you can charge up your tablets and phone at the same time and not worry about depleting the battery.
Pros
Black matte color is cool
Breathing logo is cool when charging
Flashlight (Pro AND Con?)
Moderately light
2.0 Quick charge capability
Uses Micro USB cord to charge
Cons:
Moderately heavy
Flashlight(?)
Too long to stuff in ones pocket. You need to ask your significant other to put it in their purses/bags.

[Review] Lumsing USB Type-C and Quick Charge 3.0 15000mAh Powerbank

Overview
Quick summary - great device really solid and well balanced with three output slots to charge two devices. The hugh 15,000mah it enough to keep several devices topped up for quite some time. The Qualcomm quickcharge 2.0 / 3.0 compatibility is a really nice touch for a powerpank meaning that you done have to be plugged in for long to give your compatible device a topup.
Unboxing
So in the box is the Glory P2 Plus battery pack, two a short black USB leads (one micro USB and one USB-C) and the instructions. The battery pack has a really large capacity at 15k mah which is enough to charge a Galaxy S6 up a quite a few times before itself requiring recharging. The battery pack is all white plastic body. There are 2 USB outputs and a USB type C in/out socket and a micro USB input. Its great that this is compatible with new and older technology meaning that its quite a versatile device. The two main USB outputs has one which is compatable with Qualcomm’s quickchrge 2.0 and 3.0 and one which is a ‘Smart’ output, which registers on my Galaxy S6 as ‘Cable charging’ so slower than using quickcharge.
Despite the capacity of the internal battery the weight of this doesnt feel too bad, it is pretty heavy but that is to be expected with the massive capacity. It weighs in at at 378g which is really isnt that heavy and the slim profile means that it will slot into a jeans pocket no problem.
On the front are 4 little blue LEDs which light up to show the capacity. In theory each dot should be enough to deliver 3,750mah of juice so in theory each light of power should easily charge any modern smartphone, just for reference the capacity of my Galaxy S6 is 2550mah. On one side is a plastic button you can press to view the charge or turn the pack on when you want to start charging a device. It charged my S6 fairly quickly (about 1 hour using QC) from nearly empty so the device delivers a amount of power from each port when charging a single device.
Overall I really like this pack, its nice, solid and premium feeling, works well and having a quickcharge port for quicker charging. The capacity is massive and will keep me going for a good few days of recharges on my phone when im away from an outlet.

Might sound stupid, but, i'm guessing this is safe enough to use on the Pixel?
