just bought the phone yesterday , worked few hrs on JB 4.3 then updated kitkat 4.4.2 via odin
battery drains hell fast ( it drops about 17 to 20% ) per hour on wifi + lowest screen brightness and internet browsing while disabling all other connections and sensors , this is my first charge
used it few hrs on JB but still the same results , did factory reset after kitkat update, and alreadt installed about 7 popular apps which i don't think to cause battery drain that fast (whatsapp, viber ,fb,) but even b4 installing them battery drops
this is far below battery tests in gsmarena review
help plz
From your screenshots i can see you are getting 2 hours SOT in 36% which is quite good.. not bad..

Hi I have: HTC Wildfire with CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC1
In about the past 2 days my battery life has dropped considerably with the phone not lasting more then 12 hours, as opposed to the previous life of 2-3 days.
I charged it too 100% last night and this morning when I checked it it was at 20%
I have not installed any new apps, my screen usually runs on low brightness and the data connection only running on 2g/Edge and I have changed no settings lately.
I tried a battery stats wipe, no change.
I remember having that problem just after I flashed a new recovery.
It was about 80% before I sleep And when I wake up I find it 55%
I installed Sympfinity kernel and it really improved battery life.
now only 10% (sometimes less) are lost through the night.
Try Sympfinity kernel.

I Flashed CM7.2 RC2 it seems to have fixed the problem.

I advise you to install battery calibration from play store, sometimes after flashing a new rom, battery may be miss-read
tip
the battery life is also affected depending on the time you have automatic update on your phone because if you have updated very often it spends considerably battery not in use so the phone .. hechale a look at this and help us a lot of your battery greetings
Welll i used to have a similar problem on my wildfire,so i downloaded power max and used it on standard mode and used Go power master with autoswtching and other stuff...just before exchanging it for a Nexus, i had the battery to last around 40 hours with 5 hours of browsing, 3 hours of listening to music and 2 hours of gaming with heavy use of whatsapp and texting and 30-40 minutes of calling...previously my battery use to last only 10 hours...hope this will help you...you can also go up to ebay and buy an extended battery for just Rs.960 which is 3000mah...cheaper than the original smaller battery....link to the extended battery http://www.ebay.in/itm/3000MAh-Exte...4-HTC-Wildfire-G8-/140533335447#ht_1453wt_907
From my personal experience and some googling i found out that a combination of juice defender and GSam battery monitor will drain your battery dramatically after some days/weeks (I have experienced it)
I was getting 5 hours+ on heavy usage but today these two apps sucked my battery off and my battery went from 70 to 40 in an hour or two.
After some internet surfing i found out this.
Please confirm

I am also getting high usage from the kernel on the stock rom. Sometimes, the battery goes down even faster than normal, but a reboot seems to bring it back to the usual consumption level.
I have also noticed my phone is awake quite a lot while on wifi, but I'm not sure if disabling it would improve anything.
Hi,
I have had this tablet (N5100) for a couple of weeks now and am wondering what the average battery drain for others/you is like?
Mine is draining around 1%/H when idle / sleep (screen off, wifi-on scheduled with juice defender, Mobile Data off, Cell Radio on) with little to no activity.
so after my 4-5 hour sleep it's down by 5-6 %. is it normal, too high/ too low?
my other device samsung galaxy player YP-G70 has much better results, but then that is a totally different hardware altogether!.
Thanks.
1%/h would translate into avg current of 46mA, which is not bad, any higher value would be a reason to investigate. On my device, after some tweaking the standby current as estimated by the Battery Monitor Widget is between 10-40 mA.
Anyway, if you want to find the apps eating your battery during standby, check the better battery stats thread.

Hi,
I have done a few tests of my own.
Overnight my battery drain is 1%(about 9/11 hrs )
I further ran a test in standby for over 24 hrs and
battery drain was only 6%.(from 100% down to 94% )
Good luck
Just want to add ,i get like 2mA in standby,
Also the 6 % drain (in 25 hrs plus some min.)
Include my twitter updates ,weather, market apps update, etc once or so .data off there after.

wow, that's a little depressing! haha
I guess i'll have to go on some app shooting spree and see what i end up with.
As of now i have put google currents to sync only while charging and disabled google now and some location stuff in google maps and that seems to have improved things some bit already.
bad or good battery
I play samsung note 8 without screen off , and screen on just 4 hour
i think note 8 only survive 1%/5 minute
If play 1% just only 2 minute
I was facing some serious battery usage problem on my s6 edge.
so i finally decided to check it out
step 1 = I completely drained out my mobiles battery until it didnt got shut down on itself.
step 2 = I charged my phone for 10min which the company claims to be useful for 4hrs of task
so for 10min of charging i got 18% of battery life.
which shows 3hrs 18min of usage and using power saving mode it shows 3hrs and ultra power saving mode shows 7hrs and 19min.
Does anybody has battery problem with their edge ??
I dont play games just normal usage like whatsapp and bbm and sometimes snapchat and insta gram

The battery issue and fixes for it have been discussed a lot on here. There are unrooted solutions and rooted solutions. Please be a bit more specific about your device itself such as whether you're rooted? Did you use CF-Auto-Root? Are you unrooted? Did you flash the OTA update? Giving these types of details will hopefully make it easier to point you in the right direction.
I havent rooted it.
My phone is the same as i got it out of the box.. i have only updated all the apps and a firmware update which came automatically when i switched on the device.
Hi guys,
I'm having trouble getting through the day with this phone. I have a new Anker 2200mAh battery that I've cycled about 3 times now. I am running BeanStalk 4.4.4, and I have few tweaks like, Memory Manager (cause it keeps freazing, running out of ram), Entropy Fix app (at ~512, which doesn't seem to fix lag, but not sure), greenify and Amplify, related to battery.
But I'm still draining about 6%/hour on mobile data. This is not normal right? It's really hard to get through the day with this kind of battery life.
So what do you guys do to get about 1% or 2% drain per 1 hour in standby on mobile data? I'm using Xposed, and I greenified apps that greenify says wakelock a lot.
I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks.
BTW, I'm pretty sure it is not normal because in Amazon website, this anker battery has full of satisfied reviews saying it lasts a full day/ 2 days with this battery, but for me, even with this larger battery, it drains very quickly in standby.
In addition, when screen is on, I get about 1%/2.5 minutes in mobile data at 50% brightness. I think this is fine. Am I right? For 100% drain, this leads to 250minutes, which is slightly over 4 hours screen on time. This is on mobile data, so I think it's pretty good, but I'm not 100% sure.
But because standby drains quite a lot, I'm not even able to get over 2 hours screen on time.
I don't have wifi at work btw.
I hope someone helps me soon. Thanks!
