Cant Mount using Team Win Recovery 2.7 - Sprint LG G2

Am I stupid? Or can I just not mount my phone to my computer? I select mount then it lets me select the partitions to mount and thats it. Am I supposed to press something to confirm to mount it or something? Because I see nothing.
Edit: Think the cord is just loose

Boot loops and CWM issues

Hello all,
i have been around on the site for a while reading, learning, and rooting my DInc. I have SkyRaider 3.5 w/ stock kernal. Currently running CWM 2.5.0.5. I was going to dip into the realm of setting CPU settings for different functions. I DLed SetCPU from the market and installed. i figured this would be a good time to do a backup through CWM in case i eff something up. after the backup completed, i selected the "reboot system now"
Upon rebooting, it loaded into my lock screen with the stock background and clock, not the ones i had before the backup process. when i did the slide unlock, it would just go to an all white screen with the htc green logo in the middle, and all my buttons but the power button were useless. strange i thought.....so i pulled the battery and proceeded into the CWM again to restore to a previous backup. got into CWM just fine, but now i had 5 message lines at the bottom of the CWM screen:
E:Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(file exists)
E:Cant mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
E:Cant mount CACHE:recovery/log
E:Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
Then, i go into the backup and restore option, and select restore, it kicks me back to the main menu with 5 more messages:
E:Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 (or /dev/bloc
k/mmcblk1)
(No such file or directory)
E:Cant mount /sdcard
E:Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
E:Cant mount CACHE:recovery/log
E:Cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(File exists)
I've tried doing a wipe data/factory reset, and it gives me a bunch of mounting errors and basically skips all format, then kicks me back to main menu in less than 3 seconds.
I've done a fair amount of research for this and can't find anything related to the DInc for this issue. Seen it on a few other devices (earlier droids) but not sure how much that info pertains to this device.
unfortunately i do not have a micro-sd card reader on my computer, so i have not tried re-flashing my ROM since i do not have a ROM on my SD card, not sure if it would be of any use since it sounds like my SD card is not mounting properly.
I will probably go out and buy a universal card reader (should come in handy) as well as a second SD card in case it happens to be the SD card that crapped out.
I figured I'd get this up here anyways to see if anyone can help.
Thanks so much for any advise or fixes you may be able to offer!

update
well, i managed to do a couple hboot updates and basically return my phone to the way it was when i got it from the store. i have no idea what caused it, but the original sd card still works, albeit reformatted, and the phone is functioning perfectly so far. I'm still curious to see if anyone had any ideas about what happened. sorry i can be of service to troubleshoot since i fixed it (the long way). my phone is too vital and i have travel coming up.
Thanks,
Trey
When I tethered my incredible to my pc I would get errors. I've had to actually run defrag on my sd card. I actually have several Micro sd readers but I was lazy and did this after tethering to my pc. Seems to have fixed the problem
So, I decided to try to go back to root last night, with the help of Preludedrew. rooted using unrevoked3 and updated to CWM 3. when it was all finished, it left me in CWM recovery and i had new E: errors:
E:Can't mount /dev/recovery/log
E:Can't open /dev/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /dev/recovery/last log ?
E:Can't open /dev/recovery/last log
when i would try to mount cache or sdcard, it would still fail, and when trying to load zip from sdcard, it would error in trying to mount sdcard.
with some more help from drew, we tried using adb shell to mount/access some partitions, and the mmcblk0p2 (i think) could not be found on the device.
thankfully the phone still booted this time, but i went into the phone settings under SD & storage...and the sdcard was there showing my 15GB of total/available space.
But....under the internal phone storage section, it said "unavailable" for both total space and available space.
so the only thing we could somewhat deduce, is that the internal phone memory has crapped out, thus when i RUU'd (?) back to stock, it could not find my phone internal storage so it just reassigned my sdcard to the 0p1 block, and where the sdcard should be in the 0p2 block there is nothing. Hence why cwm cant find anything related to my sdcard since its looking in the 0p2 block.
so now that i'm back to stock, i'll take it to the verizon store today and see what they'll do about it since the internal memory seems to be crap. i have insurance, so i dont think it will be a problem getting a new phone, unless they want to try to replace the internal memory, which is fine with me.
unless anyone has any other ideas?
sorry for the noobish verbage, i'm trying to remember what i all did at 1230 last night.
Thanks,
sorry for the quick reply, but i just had the idea to try mounting my device as disk storage, since it should come up as 2 drives (internal phone and sdcard) on my computer
both drives show up under my computer, sdcard access is fine, but when i try to access the other drive, i get "please insert a disk into drive G:"
and when i switch back to charge only, it will only say "preparing sd storage" and doesnt do "preparing phone storage" like i thought i remember it doing when it was still good.
I guess just another reaffirmation that the storage space is crap.

[Q] Clockwork mod wont mount!

when i boot into clockwork mod recovery it keeps giving me this:
(CWM Recovery v3.0.0.5)
E:unknown volume for path [/data]
E:unknown volume for path [/data]
E:Unable process volume! Skipping...
Checking /cache
E:unknown volume for path [/cache]
E:unknown volume for path [/cache]
E:Unable process volume! Skipping...
Done!
E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/last_log]
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:unknown volume for path [/cache/recovery/command]
I tried going to Mounts and Storage and mounting but it wont work with anything (/system, /data, /cache, /sdcard, /sd-ext)
I also tried using odin to wipe my phone, i installed the drivers on 2 computers but neither one can recognize it.
If anyone has any ideas on how to make CWM mount or how to get my computers to recognize my phone, please let me know!
Are you properly mounting your phone in download mode? Power off, then boot holding 1 and power.
Also have you tried backing up important files to your computer then formatting the SD card?
I tried putting it in download mode, but Odin wont pick it up, no matter how many times i uninstall and reinstall the Samsung driver.
And i was thinking about formatting my SD card, but i can't mount it to my computer.
Does your computer have an SD slot? If not there's always the option of heading to the nearest tech store in the morning and getting a micro SD to usb adapter.
Texted while driving
Well i do have an SD slot on my school computer, but i only have 2gigs left on it after i freed up as much space as i could. are there any files that i absolutely need? or can i just take some music off and then format it?
I only mentioned saving files in the event you had photos or something you absolutely wouldn't want to lose,if there isn't anything on there that can't be replaced then no need to save anything.
My computer wont format it, it pops up with "The disk is write protected" ._.
If its in a full size sd adapter then move the switch on the side.
Texted while driving
Oh wow, i would have never figured that out lol
i formatted it and it still wont mount in CWM, Keis wont recognize it, and neither will my computer in general
Use ODIN not kies.
Texted while driving
I tried Odin too, wont recognize it in Download, Recovery, Mass Storage, or Charing mode.
i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Driver and still nothing
Reboot the computer and try a different cable/usb port.
Texted while driving
Still wont work
You've tried every port and as many cables as possible?
I tried every single port, then i went and got my mom's cable and tried it, first try it picked up my phone installed everything and now im running Odin, Successfully! i think... i think i love you
Glad I could help.

Afaik, you have to boot into recovery, go under mount options, select mount sd card and then connect it to your PC. Usually it should detect your device.
I've always done the same.
And if you don't have a card reader, I don't think it's too expensive to buy one.
Thank you guys, ive solved the problem.
Now i have FXP Ice Cream Sandwich on my Arc! really great rom.
Thanks!

[Q] Accessing Internal Storage via CWM

Hi everyone. I'm wondering how to mount my internal storage from CWM. I know I've done it before so I can't figure out why it's not working. I'm currently on a stock ROM so I assume internal sd card is /sdcard right now. Anyways, when I go to Mounts and Storage in CWM and hit "mount /sdcard", it says "E: Unable to write to ums lunfile (No such file or directory) Error mounting /sdcard!" If I hit "mount /emmc", which could technically be the internal on AOKP or CM9, it works, but nothing happens. And if I hit "mount USB storage", I get the same error as from "mount /sdcard" - "E: Unable to write to ums lunfile (No such file or directory) Error mounting /sdcard!"
Please let me know how I can mount my internal storage while in CWM. And yes, my phone is plugged in.
No one knows?
usually if I have a problem and no one can help and if I can find them....I hire the A-Team
Or I just google it
http://www.google.com/search?sugexp...ome&ie=UTF-8&q=Unable+to+write+to+ums+lunfile
Haha I already googled it. My problem isn't solved by what they suggest though. Usually either mount /sdcard or mount /emmc should work, depending on which one is the internal sd. But in my case, none of them are working. But I know I've mounted it before... just can't remember how

how to access sd card through recovery

im trying to install android revolution, i did superwipe but forgot to put the zip file for the rom on the phone. i cant access the sd card from recovery anymore so how do i put it on there to flash it?
You'll have to push the file using adb
adb push /path/to/file /data/media
That will put it on the root of your SD partition
I'm special.

This but make sure to mount /data in recovery

Have ADB installed, in recovery mode type this to copy file to the internal storage:
adb push locationoffile.zip /data/media
Type this to copy everything from your internal storage to a backup folder located in your ADB directory:
adb pull /data/media ./backup

The Nexus do not even have that option available since it does not use UMS mode.

I did the same with my htc incredible but still had cwm's recovery installed. To put a install file on my zip card:
1. Start phone - and enter the boot screen (for me, my phone automatically went to the boot screen since I didn't have any system installed). If recovery is not a scrollable option, then select and run bootloader and the recovery option will become available.
2. Select and press 'recovery' to go into recovery
3. Select and press 'mounts and storage'
4. At the bottom of the mounts and storage screen, select and press 'mount usb storage'
5. Plug you phone into your computer and a new removeable disk (your sd card) should be available on your computer.
6. Copy install files from computer to phone sd card.
Hope that helps.

As stated that doesn't work with GNexus. ADB is the only option

While in recovery plug your device into your computer with the usb and then just go into the partitions manager and then select mount usb mass storage and that will mount your sdcard to your computer.

As already stated above, GNex doesn't support Mass Storage mode at all.
And hey, what's the point of bumping a thread as old as this?

he's prolly trying to get his post count up so he can then clutter up development threads.
