I am using a D5503 Xperia Z1 Compact Android Phone with an Android Version of 4.4.4 Build Number 14.4.A.0.157. I have accidentally deleted my Hostapd contents and I am in need of a solution fast. How will I be able to fix it? I was thinking if it would be possible to just copy the contents of the Hostapd folder from /system/etc/hostapd/ of another phone with the same model.

Hi Guys,
I flashed my Sony Xperia SL with Silim Bean 4.2.2.2 latest. Everything is working fine as expected.
However, it is showing up as Xperia S everywhere (on Google Play, When connected to PC, on About phone screen, etc)
I just wanted to know how can I make it read as Xperia SL? Is there some sort of file we have to edit?
Ok so I got to know that we need to edit the build.prop file. I edited the ro.product.model and ro.product.name lines -- saved, rebooted, but, still while connecting through USB it says Xperia S.
Change everything in the build.prop that's relevant

Hi, I have flashed a compatible but not fully working Xperia Z1 keyboard port zip from some thread on XDA, it seems that I haven't backed up the original one, does anybody have a working keyboard from stock, latest updated version from Single Sim version?
Here it is,

Put this in System/app, set the permissions and restart.
Before doing this, hit the THANKS button.

Model: Xperia Z1 Compact (D5503)
Android: 5.1
Build: 14.6.A.1.236
Root Access: Yes
NTC Tag
Type: NTAG216 (888Bytes)
I have written an NFC tag as a WiFi connection tag with SSID and password.
The NFC tags works will with Samsung GS4 Android AOSP 7.0 and Xperia S AOSP 6.0
Both devices are prompted to connect to the WiFi SSID.
All good.
However, if I use a stock Xperia Z1C (Android 5.1.1) or Xperia M (Android 4.3) both just display a "New tag collected" message with:
application/vnd.wfa.wsc and do not connect/prompt to connect to the WiFi SSID.
This message is reported by tag.apk.
If I disable Tag.apk then I just get a "NFC read error" try again.
Any thoughts on why this is happening???
I have another Xperia M (C1905) and will flash it back to stock and test again, just in case I've delete a required app from /system/app
Going by the most recent post on this forum, I doubt anyone will ever see this ? but here goes.
I have to go into hospital soon and for my own reasons I want to take an old phone with me rather than my current one, so I've got my Xperia S out. I remember seeing that Xperia Overlay 5.0.2 and 6.0 were available for free now for this phone, so I went to the website, and when I click on the 6.0 option for Xperia S, there is no option to "buy" and add it to cart. Where can I find this?
Secondly, because this Xperia S has stock 4.1.2 on it, I did actually download the Lollipop 5.0.2 from Xperia Overlay, as this download worked - but it only downloads "update.zip" with no program or method to flash this to my Xperia S. How do I actually install it on the phone?
Thanks!
