[Q] HTC One X Camera NOT WORKING - Need Urgent Help

Hey guys basically i've brought a HTC One X and i go on to the camera app and its just a black screen but all the option are still there i dont know what to do, could it be the rom or?!

Probably dodgy hardware. Have you tried switching to front camera to see if that one works. It will narrow it down if it does

Same problem here .... cant get the camera to work ...
i did hard resets... did factory resetes ... nothing helps ...
did clean data .... well ..... help is needed veru much =)

Hi!
I got the same problem. Just got this set 2 weeks ago. the screen also flickers.
How can we be sure that its china fake???
It does says clearly made in china.

What ROM are you running ? did you modify anything ? or is it a problem since you bought the phone ?

Rear camera not working after some app installation
Hi, I am also facing similar kind of problem.
I was using the phone cam without any problem but one fine day I installed some from the market which used cam and it was not much of use to me so installed in there and then only. but after that it seems that particular app has got some cam driver uninstalled along with it.
Now when i try to open the camera, my front camera gets opened without an option to switch to back cam.
Also the LED light (flash) is also not working. I tried installed torch app but it also has the feature disabled.
I have done a hard reset and soft reset.
I am on stock rom of 2.2 and android 4.0.2
Pls help !!!!!

No. All phone models are unique, even if they seem similar in appearance or model name.

[Q] Porting from htc desire x

Hey guys i was heared that htc desire x will be given an update to jb with sense 4.1
I was very angry with htc since one v is much costly than desire x.
So i have an idea,since desire x and one v are having same resolution,the porting of sense rom was little easy.
so any one can give an idea about this porting?

btw, u cannot port JB from desire x cos we dont hboot upgrade
where to get hboot upgrade? hTC provides us with hboot upgrade but they will not so.....

Our phones are not google edition phones. So we have to wait for CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, AOKP etc to get hold of 4.3 sources and modify them to make them work on our phone. It takes time but since one x is officially supported by CM team, it wont be long.
If you are really impatient though, i'd recommend this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2392822
Keep in mind its not the completed version and contains many bugs.
4.2 is already available for our phone. Search in original android development..

Have a quick tutorial on page but search on youtube for example "htc one x root and change rom"
And you are good to go

HTC one X to htc one google play edition?
I have seen some articles about converting a HTC one into a HTC one google play edition, and by that being able to load the android stock images or get updates directly from google. However, I havent seen those for HTC One X.
Can I assume that there is no google play edition firmware for the HTC One X?

there's not.

There is an android 4.3 ROM out and if you go to get.cm you can get official cm 10.1.2

The Android 4.3 ROM is just from HTC One (not One X, as far as I understood). The CM one would not fit what was originally asked in the question. Though I personally may give it a try as soon as it is released as stable or it is clear that ble is working fine

HTC one ROMs won't work on the one x, unless someone ports it, problem is that sense 5 will be released for the one x soon so there giant any reason too.
If you want 4.3 that bad I suggest you try the 4.3 ROM once stable.
