please... can you give me exact steps ... what you did? . Which ROM are you using..?. have root permission? did you correctly type the codes..? did you save the file.??
I have added that line in build.prob at last . I m using miui 45 stable ROM. The mobile is rooted.
You don't have access for OK button on SIM Pin and can't accept it. It stays beneath the soft keys. There is a way around this issue, like a line code to move the PIN pad a litter higher?
Here's a video tutorial I made for the same

Mount /system as r/w in ES file explorer or anything else which does the function !
We can also use third-party apps

use the app in the description
Or you can use this app for onscreen buttons

can we set the transparent on navbar?

to change "swipe to unlock" you have to decompile framework-res.apk, and then in res\values-es\strings.xml replace the lockscreen_unlock_guide_text string "Arrastre el dedo por la pantalla para desbloquear" with whatever you want. I assume you use spanish, even if you're catalan.
then recompile and you're done.
How do I install framework-res.apk? Push it with root explorer?

yes replace the original with root explorer by far the easiest way, then check permissions to be the same as the other files in the same folder (with root explorer as well)
the phone will soft reboot.
ok. thanks u very.
wait for u.
crt off, no "swipe to unlock" (english only), battery %.
change % icons in res/drawable-hdpi according to your tastes if you do not like them. No need to decompile, just replace icons.
let me know if everything is ok, and backup the original framework-res.apk file just in case.
flash with cmw in recovery.
EDIT do not flash this zip it deletes systemui and you'll lose notification bar

Email me and I'll send the file or wait half and hour so I can upload the complete zip.

you can either flash it via cmw (connect phone via usb > turn on phone in recovery > mounts and storage > mount USB storage > [copy file from pc] > go back > install zip from card) or extract the files and push them with adb command line.
sorry again.
Thanks for the tips.
just to resume, so everyone can do it and I do not upload any other fake file
1 - download and install apk tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310151
2 - put framework-res.apk in "place-apk-here-for-modding" folder in windows, then start apktool and decompile it with option 9 in apktool prompt
3 - in "project" folder, mod framework-res:
3.1 - crt-off: in res/values/bools.xml "config_animateScreenLights" from true to false
3.2.1 - "swipe to unlock", for english locales, mod the corresponding string in res/values/strings.xml to whatever you want
3.2.2 - "swipe to unlock", for other locales, mod the corresponding string in res/values-xx/strings.xml to whatever you want, xx=your country code.
4 - back to apktool promtp, recompile (option 11), answer "yes" twice (system file=yes, signature=yes)
5 - when it prompts to delete some files and "press to continue", go to "keep" folder in windows file explorer and delete resources.ascr, then back to apktool prompt press any key to let apktool complete the recompiling.
6 - you end up with a unsignedframework-res.apk in "place-apk-here-for-modding" directory. rename it and replace the original framework-res.apk in your phone, apply same permissions as the other system files with root manager.
7 - battery %, go to uot kichten (google for it) and follow instructions. use your modded framework-res.apk when asked to upload it. at the end you'll be able to download a zip file to be flashed in recovery.

I found the solution without reflashing my GN2.
To reinstall Google Talk in a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100):
1- Download in this website: d-h.st/K47
2- Take the "Talk.apk" in this directory: " JB_GAPPS_4.2_FULL.zip\system\app "
3- Put this file in " system/app/ " (you need to be in root mode)
4- Set permission : rw r r
5 Reboot

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! I have been trying to fix this for the last couple of months and i got google talk back thanks to you.
I saw that this game is big sensation..So I was a little bit curious, and i found this
So If you wanna be a big guy in your team (friends) follow these steps (your device must be rooted!!)
1. Download this game from market
2. You need a file manager that can access root folders (ex. es file explorer)..And when you download these 2 you are ready to go
3. Run game, and play it until you crash (that will be very fast ) or immediately..
4. Just hit a home button
5. Run your's file explorer that can access root files, and in search type "flappy" and you will be navigated to "com.gears.flappybird" enter in that file
6. Then you will see folder "shared_prefs" and open that folder
7. You will see "FlappyBird.xml" and open it with text editor
8. And you will see code line
Code:
<int name="score" value = "1" /
9. Tap on options menu and tap edit
10. And instead of 1 type and number you want And tap options menu and save
11. Exit file explorer and press recent app's button and get back to the game..Tap to play again and when you crash in high score you will see the number that you type
This tutorial was made by me!
If you like it,you know what should you do
Tnx
Not on leaderboards

Well it does work. But the score doesn't appear on the leaderboards.
Not? Hmm..Try cleaning the game cache and try again..Cause it works for me..It shows if you put normal number
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
This method works for many games.
The reason it doesn't update on the leaderbords in Google Play is just simply because the game stores your score when you actually achieved it.
In other words; the shared preference value is only used for the dialog when you die.

I dont know how many other people out there use androids built in vpn, but i hate the fact that you are required to use a security screen (pattern, pin, password) to do so. I have found a way to bypass this if you are rooted. This has only been tested on the stock kk rooted ota. However i would think it is the same on almost any stock based rom.
This assumes you already have your vpn and a security screen setup and working.
Go to the market and download a root capable data base (db) editor. I use SQLite Editor which is a paid app, but im sure there are free ones too.
Open the db editor. SQLite Editor sorts it by the app (in this case Android System) the data base is associated with, others may not work this way and may require you to navigate to the db file directly (/data/system/locksettings.db).
Open locksettings.db and select the locksettings directory. Look for the line that says "lockscreen.password_type". Under the value colum it will show some random number. Select the line and edit the value to be 0 (zero). Save if required by your db app, and restart your phone.
When it reboots you should no longer have a security lock screen only the swipe up screen. When you go to settings - more - vpn, it will still say you need to setup a security lock. Hit CANCEL, and it will show you your list of setup vpn's. Select one and connect. Boom working vpn with no pattern, pin, password screen required.
To undo this just go to settings - security - screenlock, and setup a new lock pattern, pin, or password.
You can also disable the swipe up lock screen by editing the "lockscreen.disabled" value in the locksettings.db to be a 1 instead of a 0.
good write up, thank you sir.
Where did you get stock kk rooted?

I was already unlocked and s-off, so i ruu'd took the kk ota and then rooted it. But i believe santod has his thread in development where you can download the stock rooted kk rom.
an alternative method
An add-on alternative update for relevancy. Using Samsung Note 3 4.3 MJ7 stock rooted.
Firstly, thanks OP for a nice clear guide for all on how to do this theoretically.
This is an alternative for those who aren't able to purchase SQLite Editor:
1. get a good freeware SQLite editor like for example SQLite Studio @ w w w sqlitestudio.pl
2. copy following files from your phone to the PC using some form of file explorer or whatever methods you can think of
/data/system/locksettings.db
/data/system/locksettings.db-shm
/data/system/locksettings.db-wal
3. open up the editor, load the locksettings.db and modify like what OP has mentioned
4. you will notice that the new saved DB is going to be a single file instead so just replace this file back into your phone and delete the OTHER files
5. reboot and done.
:highfive:
Alternative method
found it on another forum
The process does not require rooting its more like a bug
worked on my i9300 with 4.3 firmware
1. Add a VPN
2. Lock the device with a pin
3. Enter the pin wrong 5 times
4. Press OK to the message that pops up
5 Press Forgot Pin
6. Sign into your Google Account
7. Select pin lock
8. Press cancel.
and now u got unlocked screen with working vpns
the method works, but after I reboot, when I enter VPN screen is aks me for "password for credential storage"... how can I solve? thanks in advance

What I do here: just type something.. anything, doesn't matter. At least one character.
Then on the next screen, where it asks to set up a lockscreen, just Cancel.
This seems to be necessary once per boot -- any password, different time or the same, works.
After that it lands me on the VPN manager screen, all functional.
Well I kind of messed up. I tried to open with SQLite but it would give me an error 14. So i decided to try to open just like that using ES Explorer and edit it like regular note(SQL is totally different I had no idea). Anyways i didnt edit anything but now i cant set a pin or any type of security on my phone. When i try to set up a pin it still shows a swipe and when i try again my Note 3 freezes and get an error message saying settings stopped responding.
Any idea on how to fix this? Im rooted and im running the latest firmware 4.4.2 if that helps.
Hey Everyone,
So Blizzard just released Hearthstone for android and everyone's rushing to be able to play the game on their android devices. I've seen some comments about how to get it to work but I have had no luck as my app crashes when I get to the option to log in. I'm currently on the most recent Slimkat stable build so that may be another reason as to why it doesn't work.
Taking the info I received from a thread on reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/2pestg/hearthstone_is_out_on_android_tablets/
Download the .apk linked by /u/Xeonelite
Download both .obb files also linked by /u/Xeonelite
Put .obb files in the directory /sdcard/Android/obb/com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone
Run the .apk to install (you may need to enable installation of unknown apps in your settings)
You should be good to go if your screen is larger than 6". If not, follow the next few steps.
Install the Xposed module "App Settings"
Enable "App Settings" in Xposed and find Hearthstone on the app list
Check the box that says "xlarge res."
Save the settings and exit
Launch Hearthstone, you should be good to go!
Click to collapse
The link to the files are here in this comment. I've had no luck so far, but others have reported being able to get it working. Have any of you been able to get it running? Successfully got it working with my reply down below! If one of the builds doesn't work, then use the other linked!
Im just trying to get works too. I think it should works flashing some custom rom and decreasing the DPI. We only can test and test until get it

Hi, i just find that:
Hey there
It seems everybody is eager to play Hearthstone on their mobile phone, but they can't because their phones aren't 6 inch or bigger. There is a way to get around this, but it involves some decompiling/recompiling and changing two lines of code.
First of all, the tools that you need are:
To decompile the APK: This tool
To decompile CSharp: Decompile CSharp: This tool
This one requires a plugin though; when you start this software, look for the menu item "Plugins/Plugins Manager" and install the plugin called "Assembly Editor"
Other things you need:
The original APK: This one
The OBB files: These
Step one:
Fire up APK Studio and decompile the Hearthstone APK
Open up the AndroidManifest.xml file
Replace android:normalScreens="false" with android:normalScreens="true"
The same goes for android:smallScreens="false" -> android:smallScreens="true"
Save this file
Step two:
Fire up JustDecompile and open the file Assembly-Csharp.dll (your_decompiled_folder/assets/bin/Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp.dll)
Look in <Default namespace> for the class "MobileCallbackManager"
(if you haven't by now, open up the plugin by selecting it in the Plugins window (Reflexil))
There is a method in there called "IsAndroidDeviceTabletSize()", click on it
In the window of the plugin, on the "Instructions" tab, you should now see a line that has a value of 6 in the Operand column (http://puu.sh/dx8bX/bff8ee08ad.png)
Right click on this and select edit and change the value to 1 (or whatever you want, just a number smaller than the size of your phone) and then click Update
In the list on the left, scroll all the way back up, right click on "Assembly-CSharp", select "Reflexil 1.8 -> Save As" and save it (trying to overwrite the original one caused problems for me)
(If you have problems with this one, go to step two.one)
Remove the Assembly-CSharp.dll file and rename the new dll to Assembly-CSharp.dll
Steo two.one (Only if you're having problems saving the DLL):
- On the same line where you clicked edit and changed the value from 6 to whatever. Right click again and select "Replace all with code"
- This should open a window showing some code, **just click cancel**
- Now try to save using the normal steps
Step three:
Open APK Studio again
Click on the hammer icon (make sure you have the project selected) to build your modified APK (rebuilt.apk in the build folder)
Step four (you can skip this if you already have the OBB files on your phone):
Put the OBB files on your SD card in the following folder
Android/obb/com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone/XXX.OBB
Step five:
Install the APK
Enjoy the game
I've tested this myself on a Nexus 4 (KitKat) and Nexus 5 (Lollipop) and it starts on both. However, at some point it just decides to crash on my Nexus 5 and I assume this is because of Lollipop.
Cheers

So it turns out another build of Hearthstone works quite well. Thanks for your possible fix too zliffer, that may help others who might need it! This one is version 738705 instead of the 738702 which was linked before. This one doesn't require being on a GPE rom, just follow the same steps for the same files and it should work!
