This is going to sound weird, but I have a persistent voicemail notification that only goes away if I switch to sense (which I don't want to do). When I call my voicemail, it says my inbox is empty. Every GPE ROM I've used caused me to have the notification. I've talked with Sprint multiple times, I've had them reset my voicemail box, but I still have the notification. Do any of you guys know how to fix this?

I'm getting a beep when on a call like i've got call waiting or something?
ony noticed it recently but couldn't pin point it after installing an app.
there is definatley no call waiting or any icon or on screen message.
only way to get rid is to reboot, but then it will come back after a few days.
its a PITA!
i'm on orange stock froyo, any ideas?
Hi, I am having an annoying issue with voicemail notifications. I have a constant notification at the top of my screen saying that I have 3 voicemails. It does not matter if I check my voicemail, clear the notifications, it still comes back. I am currently using google voice, and my rom is cm7. The notifications were also not going away with cm6 and sprint visual voicemail as well. If I remember correctly, the notification does disappear when using a sense based rom.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
This is a known issue. A quick search would have revealed that. Anyways, here's the solution- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=896000
A while back I was having trouble getting rid of the voicemail notification after listening to the actual message, I used 'Clear voicemail notification' and that sorted it.
However just realised today that I had 2 new voicemail messages but no sign of the notifications. Have I in some way disabled the notifications by pressing this?
Up until a couple of days ago, I was receiving notifications just fine. Now I'm not getting anything in notification bar or sound even though I have new texts. I've checked the volume of notifications and it's 100% and also checked the notification settings for the default messaging app. I've downloaded go SMS and the same thing-- no notifications visual or sound. I don't know where else to look. I must have changed a setting somewhere, but I can figure it out. Any ideas?
My wife's Glide (running stock 4.0.4) has had a notification of a new voicemail for a few days, but there's no voicemail and we can't clear the notification. When you pull down the notification bar, the "clear" button is grayed out, and if there's some other notification (text message for example), the button will work but will only clear the text message notification. I tried swiping the notification left or right and that didn't do anything either. I also tried leaving a voicemail, but that didn't do anything either, probably because it already has a voicemail notification. Power cycling the phone didn't help.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to clear the notification?
Did you reboot the phone ?
Yes, I rebooted the phone and it didn't help.
I did some more searching and found one suggestion that worked: Call, leave a voicemail, listen to it, delete it, and hit "*" on the keypad. Don't know why it worked, but it did.
