KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2 _installation procedure _no ZIP found !!!
Hi,
New to the game of installing dev ROMS on a Galaxy Ace 2, I can't complete the installation procedure described by Kyrillos13 for his ROM V5.
All pre-install requirements were respected (I8160XXLL2 installed + custom kernel with TWRP).
After that, once in custom recovery , I applied a wipe data/factory reset and went on to install zip from (internal) sdcard.
I managed to select KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2 but then I had to select a folder containing the zip file to apply! I browsed all the available folders but only got a 'file not found' message.
Where did I go wrong?
By the way, the original'KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2' download I got from the site was a folder containing 2 sub-folders (META-INF an System) but not a zip...
Could that be the problem?
Any guess where that zip could be ?
Thanks for your help.

The zip was autoextracted for some reason (if you use Safari, it's the last option in the first tab of the preferences)

Here is what i have done for adding the root support for the lollipop kernel.
1 - unpack your boot.img;
2 - in the ramdisk open the file callled init.g3.rc and add this line
Code:
import /init.superuser.rc
3- copy the files you can find in the attached zip in the root of your ramdisk;
4- repack the boot.img;
5- bump it and you are ready to go!
Good work!

This is for lolipop, and is a developers only thing, if you don't know what you are doing, which is sounds like you don't then stay away from it.
To answer your question, you find boot.img by pulling apart a KDZ file.

How to install kitkat back or lollipop because it not working with Terminal Comand, say: flash-all.bat not exist and with Install say: blabla.zip don't exist or something like that. Teamwin not supporting .tgz files? Because .zip cant be copied on my device.

Update TWRP
Hey Skin1980,
first of all thank your for your awesome work on the LG G3.
Can you post us the fstab code for the modem partition? I´m not sure what to enter in there, but i think the path isn´t enough.
Maybe you can help 777jon with his work or update your version to the latest, it would be much appreciated.
@Skin1980,
any chance to update this to 2.8.3.0?
thank you so much for your work!

Better option:
Extract ROM zip file using 7-zip, delete, copy replace required files and zip it up again & follow flashing instructions!
Is it flashable only on twrp? I am on cwm currently
Sent from my C2305
It is 'cwm flashable' and I hvnt tried twrp.

This rom is blazing fast. My old galaxy ace is on fire right now
However, no one mentioned that /system needs to be remounted rw in order to place the dns script. Also, I have a problem installing larger app (viber) from play store - it says "Could not be downloaded due to an error (498). Will try to download manually and install from apk directly. Will write if I find something else.
Also, any chance to extend the space or to use data2sd?

I use DS App2SD Lite. Works very well.
For me, the dns-tip does not work:
1. Download file data_fix_for_aosp_gb_cooper.txt
2. Rename file to 555dns
3. Move file to system/etc/init.d
4. Set permissions to -rwxr-xr-x (with file manager MiXplorer)
5. Reboot
Sometimes I have a connection, but usually not.
Can any one help me?
