Hey, It is a long story, I will tell it briefly. I have a tablet iball 7271, I know off branded, I bought it because it was slimmer and goodlooking.
I rooted it after and accidentally uninstalled two services: Atciservice, and BackupAndRestore.
My tablet doesn't boot up, It just keep showing iball logo.
I had taken nandroid backup before but i don't know how to recover it. If i try to flash CWM.zip, it says "Invalid OTA package, missing scatter. Installation aborted"
But then I just extracted those apk (Atciservice, and BackupAndRestore.) i uninstalled from backup and tried to install it. But my tablet is only working if I type "ADB sideload etc... " And if i try to send apk through sideload it shows "Installation aborted".
How can i make a flashable zip file to start my tablet? Or any other solution? I tried hard reset, problem is same. If anyone knows how can I just make it work then please tell.

A while ago I rooted my phone and installed Defrost's ROM, I followed the guide on the development forums and everything went great. However, if I try to install an new ROM (Open Desire) either through the normal recovery method or by using the Rom Manager, it opens in the recovery screen, I get the option to run the zip, but than the e:signature verification blabla error shows up telling me that it can't find the .zip. Before putting it on my SD card I changed the name to update (not update.zip), so that's not what's causing the problems, does anyone have any idea what to do different?
Thanks in advace
did you at any point change the content of the zip file? if im not wrong thats what the error msg is saying that the zip file doesnt match the signature anymore because it probably was altered

If anyone has this problem in the future, you could use sideload or you could just adb push ie.
adb push update.zip /sdcard/update.zip

I did it this way all the time. But now it doesn't seem to work anymore.
I flashed the latest update I downloaded from https://ouyafw.skumler.net/
and getting this error when applying the update.zip from SDK or sideloading it (both doesn't work)
Code:
assert failed: !less_than_int(1391471878, getprop("ro.build.date.utc"))
I tried removing this line from the updater-script. Doesn't work. The progress stops with "Installation aborted." without an error code.
seems with further firmwares, there is no way to restore anymore.
PS: I don't have CWM. only Stock recovery and a system that stucks in bootloop even after factory reset.

The firmware on the site you mentioned is not up to date!
Here is the official link for the latest firmware.
If you have adb access, you could try to fastboot CWM recovery.
Hello All,
I have GPE version of GPad running Kitkat 4.4 Stock ROM. Last month I have used following link to enable chromecast mirroring. Due to the issues i have uninstalled superuser app and did factory reset. After that all well! I mean no issues with tablet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...experimental-enable-mirroring-device-t2812193
Yesterday I tried to sideload the GPE lollipop update but prompted with following error.
"/system/etc/audio_policy.conf" has unexpected contents.
E:Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
This morning I saw system update notification for Lollipop upgrade and opted to install it, but without any further msg during the system update it prompted with "Error!" After that I did factory reset. When it reboots starts optimizing 48 apps, but it prompts with following sequence of messages:
"Unfortunately sun beam has stopped. "
None of the apps loaded , no access to setting, just empty screen and on screen buttons at the bottom.
I spent quite some time looking around in xda to restore back to factory, none seems to work.
1. Tried flashing original stock .tot file, getting "Download user image is only available in the online environment!!
2. adb sideload, "/system/etc/audio_policy.conf" has unexpected contents
3. To Flash TWRP i am not getting access to setting to enable USB debugging.
Now i cant even put the G Pad in adb as i dont have access to settings to put in USB debug mode. vol down+power puts into bootloader, but cant access to adb commands.
Now I can only access to recovery and do sideload. but i am stuck with "/system/etc/audio_policy.conf" has unexpected contents error. Can someone share kitkat original version of audio_policy.conf? also how i can replace the exiting file as i dont have access to adb?
Greatly appreciate your help to bring back the G Pad.
regards
Raj
You can boot twrp from fastboot and flash either 4.4.4 or 5.0 back onto your tablet. Look at the thread in Android development for more details on flashing the stock images using twrp
Thanks! I was able to get back to kitkat with following method. I was able to flash recovery its now back to complete stock kitkat now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...510-gpe-4-4-4-ktu84p-l002-stock-twrp-t2797883
After this I got system update notification to lollipop. Again got "Error!" msg during the install process.
I tried adb side load, got following error!
failed to verify whole-file signature
signature verification failed
installation aborted.
Any thought whats going wrong there?
My device is the Galaxy Nexus (Toroplus), with TWERP recovery 2.8.4.0. I did have SlimKat 4.4.4 running before attempting to flash CM 5.0.2 on the phone. Now I am without a ROM.
Here's my story. I had this stupid game by the name of Bloons Tower Defense 5 installed on the phone. I wiped my Dalvik one day and got an error message reading: " E: unable to stat '/data/com.ninjakiwi.bloonstd5.humble/files/Profile.save' ". After that, I was unable to run or uninstall the app. The phone would just reboot. I couldn't manually delete the files without the phone automatically rebooting either. With this irritating me, I decided that I wanted to install the CM 5.0.2 ROM. I threw the zip on my phone and wiped my current install. I went to install the new ROM only to be greeted (once again) by " E: unable to stat '/data/com.ninjakiwi.bloonstd5.humble/files/Profile.save' ". Great. So I went to the file manager and navigated to the directory for the game. I tried deleting, moving, and renaming the file that is giving me these issues. Nothing worked. Now I have no ROM, and can't even flash a new ROM, restore from a backup I had, or totally wipe the device. Each and every time I try to do anything, its " E: unable to stat '/data/com.ninjakiwi.bloonstd5.humble/files/Profile.save' ". Does anyone have any advice or a method to remove this garbage, other than snapping this phone in half? This is worse than Malware.
If I were you, I would find Odin and flash the stock rom and recovery back on it, although only select versions work with it. Search up "Odin for Galaxy Nexus toroplus".
I've bricked my previous Samsung 3 times and Odin was the only thing that could save it.
FYI: You have to be in download mode in order for Odin to detect your phone. And always follow all directions carefully. ALWAYS.
Hoped I helped!
So I made a post in the general help thread and nobody has replied (although I've only waited a few days so I could probably wait a bit longer) but still I feel like my phone's issues are "unique" compared to other bootloops, I can't find anyone else having the same symptoms on their phone. I'll repost what I said in the general help thread and then give a brief overview of everything because I simply cannot comprehend why I'm unable to get out of bootloop with this damn phone.
So I just recently picked up an old Zenfone 2 (ZE500CL) off of my father who didn't really need it anymore and it was an upgrade from my old ****ty phone, so of course I wanted to root it and after using it for a few hours I wanted to install a custom rom by unlocking the bootloader. Well, I tried that, and something must have gone wrong because I got a bootloop and was only really able to boot into recovery mode.
Now, I didn't backup because I'm dumb for one and two I generally have a good idea of where to start if something does go wrong. The thing is, the methods I've looked up and tried have all failed. First, reflashing the stock rom of my ZE500CL (I've tried four different firmwares from the official website, and I know it's ZE500CL because that's what recovery mode is telling me) does not work. Adb hits 47% in the command prompt, the phone stays at 25% until then, and it goes:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted
Not sure why it doesn't work, I looked it up and tried various things and it just isn't resolving itself.
So I tried simply running commands like the following:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Using files from the stock firmwares themselves, and that gives me a flash_cmds error. I've tried deleting all of the userdata, the system, the cache, and a factory reset through recovery mode but none of that works. I'd really appreciate any help anyone could offer, this is a pickle and I'd really like to get this phone back up so that I can just run it as a rooted phone.

Now, I'll go over the issues quickly:
I'm stuck in bootloop but I can get into recovery mode
Trying to flash any rom, including multiple stock roms from the asus website, results in an installation aborted message at 47% in either ADB or microSD attempt at flashing the rom.
Attempting to run commands like fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ends up giving me a flash_cmds error which I cannot find anywhere else for the Zenfone 2e
Deleting the cache, userdata, system, or factory resetting the phone does not remove the bootloop
Unlocking and relocking the bootloader does nothing
I would really appreciate any help, feels like my phone is a lost cause even when it's not hard bricked.
Try ASUS Flashtool with a .RAW Firmware...

Thanks, I haven't seen this. I've got the Intel and xFSTK drivers all up and running but my phone isn't being recognized constantly by my computer under Intel Soc in my Driver Manager, and it's not being recognized as MOOREFIELD but rather as CLOVERVIEW PLUS, and only for a second in-between boots on my phone. Can't get the files to be downloaded through xFSTK, so I've hit a snag here unless someone knows the solution to this.
I'll try just running the flash tool and using a raw firmware, then, since I can't do any of the other stuff.
EDIT: Looks like the issue I was having before is stopping me from running the tool, seems that the computer needs to recognize my phone through the Intel drivers at all time (which it doesn't) in order to run the tool. Also I can't get the tool to view the raw file, it only seems to read zip files (so I put the raw into an empty zip, thinking that could maybe work but I don't know for sure). Damnit, I don't know why this is so difficult.
EDIT 2: All right! Looks like I got it working. The process was relatively simple, actually. It involved booting into TWRP but I wasn't able to most of the time for some reason, it would just never do it. But, I was able to using the CWM Zenfone 2 bat file located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/ze500cl-rooting-related-stuff-t3163528/
Then, I needed the stock rom for my ZE550CL placed onto an external sd card which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/ze550cl-factory-reset-return-to-stock-t3141513
So I would download the CWM Zenfone 2, replace the recovery file as the post states, then run the file. After that, I would run T4 since T1 and T2 didn't work (never tried T3), only T4 would seem to boot me into TWRP. From there, I went to Install, left Zip Verification unchecked, and let the damn thing run. It was the only thing that would run for me, even when doing it with ADB it wouldn't work with the stock rom. Then, I just rebooted and now I'm back on my phone. Hopefully this helps anyone else having this troubling issue, it was terrible!
