Ive just noticed that any app that i transfer to SD using the stock un-modified un rooted Desire no longer appear in my markets downloads list? So i dont see if theres any updates, itens like barcode scanner, pingchat, rockplayer, papertoss & movies (flixster) are all installed via the market, but since i transfered them to my SD card they dont appear on my downloads list in the market?
Is this standard for everyone? If i search for the app in the market it appears and also has installed in the status but is not on my downloads, so when theres an update its not there.
On that note also i have ticked the auto update box for every app but none have ever updated, theres been a few apps with updates in the downloads section of my market that are ticked to auto update but they just stay there with the orange update status?
Any help?
Thanks.

I had the same problem. I managed to fix it; here is what I did.
I cleared the cache and data for market app and restarted it.
Searched in market for each app that I had installed and tick the auto-update box again. Gave the phone a reboot and when I checked after a while the apps were back in downloads.
Hi plzz help me tried 3 days but nothing wrks.tried format my sd still media server eats my battery 35 to 50 percent n keep the device awake..what to do any software plzz appreciated...
Is your Phone rooted?
if yes--- Try Installing Greenify...
Open Greenify--- Add Apps - Select the desired app & then when the app throws a message like can't freeze hibernate system app - Click on insist!
I think titanium backup has freeze app option too.
Also try All in one tool kit...
You could easily disable startup apps...
But you'll need root!
Well tried greenify still same yes m rooted...what to do now

install dev igio90 app "android tweaker" from play store..open app and go to battery and disable media scanner
Doent work next software plzz
Well from my experience you are on a stock rom but rooted ?
If yes try to downlod this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascannerroot
And disable the media scanner if the problem gone you can use it, but each photo or media file you download you need to enable the scanner again to appear in the gallery etc
But if you want something better download android revolution hd rom stock based but smoother and fasterand since 5 months i didn't notice any battery drain at all

Chances are, there's a corrupt media file. Check all your media files and see.

I m hving problem in only specific rom version not in all rom.and none of above software works.and this is my fav software version thats y needed to handle media server any help regarda
The MediaServer jumps to the top of the usage, when music is constantly being played, or the scanner gets stuck with a certain file. Make sure all the files have proper tagging, filenames and aren't corrupt to begin with. This can include pictures, music, videos, and such. Corrupt pictures cause huge issues. I usually backup all my files from the SD Card on my desktop, and then format ( external SD ) or just delete all the files, use ForeverGone ( SD Card Cleaner ) and then restore the files.
Have you tried autorun
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rs.autorun
Of This doesn't help you might have to flash some other rom...

It just drives me crazy to have apps auto update especially on expensive data. For some reason my stock market doesn't work anymore at all in my phone, I tried to install a fresh download of market but still wont help so I removed it permanently from system apps and the phone became free of the so many force-close errors I was getting with most apps and runs very smoothly. I usually get apps through apk downloader. Am using sdext2 for the installed apps. Is there anyway of disabling apps from automatically updating themselves but have internet access for social media apps?
Problem solved, I got a terminal command that does it perfectly.
mod you can delete this now
i am having micromax canvas a1. it is working fine till recently the apps are not getting installed or updated from googleplaystore. kindly help.
problem solved
i m also getting this error but now solved just uninstall update of super su from setting - apps .
install latest playstore
same problem
Earlier I was able to install/update apps from Play Store. But since last week, app are not getting updated, nor I can install new apps. If I try to do it, just downloading bar is displayed.
Same here too. Can't update nor download. Any solution ?
I also faced same problem
until i found there was low internal storage issue.
move as many as apps to external sd card.(which can be moved)
i uninstall apps which i don't use often. cleaned some junk & memory from CleanMaster App.
Guess what happened , everything turned out to be normal.
Use Google DNS address in PC ethernet settings , restart router.
Than in phone clear playstore data and cache, clear downlaod manager data and cache,
Restart phone
download any app from playstore, it won't show any downloading status till 5 mins but will start automatically by then.
Hit the thanks button if it helped you.
Guys, i rooted my device through temp recovery flashing superSu. I have the updated firmware 7.6.0, after i rooted, i installed app2sd from playstore, and move all apps to external SD card.. It was working well but it happens that i turn it off to charge for a while,. When i came back and turn it on again, all my apps are force closing, like such as google services, FOTA services , it says "unfortunately *apps name* has stopped" keep popping out.. so i flash again a raw firmware through sd download mehtod and succesfully brings back my device like before i rooted it,. I wonder why this happen to my device, should the culprit was the app2sd, but i only move games not the pre-installed apps,.. Any comments and feedback is much appreciated,. Thanks,..

Please help me, anyone?
You have to reset tablet to factory settings an don't use Link2SD to automatically link all ditectories to SD but you have to do it manually and also do not link some of system data directories to SD because it may trigger force close that apps.
