There's some guide to upgrade , and i want to ask a few questions
My phone Specs : Samsung Galaxy Ace II GT-I8160 GingerBread 2.3.6 Baseband I8160DXMA1
1. Does CWM and TWRP is permanent in ace 2?
2. i plan to use the kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1962100 does it compatible with my GB version?
3. What is Baseband actually ? Because mine already come with I8160DXMA1 , but the guide use I8160XXLL2 , is there any effect for incompatible?
4. How to install kernel ?

[Q] About Flash stock roms on N7100

hello guys i want to flash a stock rom on my note ii and my roms in 4.1.2 and last words of base band is f3. can i flash other roms with other base band on it? can i downgrade it? if i flash other stock roms efs not erase?
Just use any of the roms you like in the development forum. Make a backup of els file before flashing new ROM. And downgrading is a bit tricky so reap op carefully before doing anything.
Galaxy Note 2 - rooted and customized leaked 4.3 stock
At&t Galaxy note 2 - rooted stock 4.1.2
Xperia Neo L - Bootloader unlocked, rooted and customized 4.0.4 stock.

From 4.3 to Kitkat 4.4.2 in good conditions

Hy all,
I just bought my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 (edition 2014)
Phone Model: SM-P600
Device type: lt03wifi
PDA Version: XXUBMJ6
Android version: 4.3
CSC: XEF
Root : OK (CF Auto Root)
Recovery : Ok (Philz Touch 6.41.6)
Knox : deleted
Backup : done
I would like to flash a Kitkat 4.4.2 custom rom, but first let me know if I can flash directly (after nandroid banckup) or if it is better to install a stock KitKat rom at first (via Odin) and then after flashing a custom.
With my Galaxy Note 2 I know that I had to change the bootloader before flashing Kitkat but here I do not know.
Thank you for your information and advice
NB : excuse my signature always under SGNII

It is important to Flash stock 4.4.2 before flashing any custom kitkat Rom . And it becomes very must if you are flashing a CM based rom. Flashing Stock Kitkat changes the old bootloader to the kitkat bootloader which is essential for Flashing CM based ROMs .
Hope this helps you !!!
Don't forget to press the thanks button !!!

[Q] Hi galaxy note 2 downgrade possible?

Hi , went from stock (bell sgh i317m ) kitkat to lolipop using cm 12 nightlies , is it possible to downgrade or will i brick my phone.
Some people say yes , and others no.
some advice would be nice ....thanks.....
With TWRP recovery installed. .. (latest version)....
You can wipe the device and flash just about any other rom in this section. ..regardless of bootloader versions because the other roms don't contain that image. ..
You won't brick anything if you follow the rom flashing instructions from the OP of the thread you wish to try....g
