I'm having some issues with the stock install from the development forum.
I updated my bootloader, and then updated twrp, and checked that everything was fine. I was coming from the latest stable cm11.
I flashed the stock rom, and it looked like everything updated fine.
For some reason, I no longer see the extended boot menu, and twrp didn't show as being installed.
The twrp app crashes, so I can't use that to reinstall twrp, so I used wug's tool to reinstall twrp.
twrp shows as being installed, but I can't seem to boot into it to reflash lollipop.
Lollipop looks like its running fine, but notifications are broken, I can't double swipe down the quick settings, and the lock screen does not work no matter what settings I choose.
Any ideas how to get lollipop working properly? The download's md5 shows as a good download.
Flash the 5.0 firmware in fastboot instead? Then flash TWRP.
Don't know why people rely on TWRP and toolkits so much when using fastboot is so simple.
I used tarp because it's what I've been using for a few years now. I booted to twrp recovery with wugs tools, and reflashed lollipop, and that cleared up my issues. Whew!

Hey guys, i have installed CM 12.1 on my LG G3 D855.
Everything seems to work fine and correct.
Only one problem is left, i made a factory reset (in settings), the phone rebooted. It rebooted in Recovery (TWRP) but there it stuck in a boot loop. I removed the batterie and and restarted the device. Now it boots correct, but i think my TWRP is still broken. Is there a way to fix it?
Can i simply use e.g. Flashify app to install TWRP correct again?
Don't ever perform a factory reset or take an OTA update w/ a third party recovery like TWRP installed. You're lucky you were able to get the phone to boot normally. There's probably nothing wrong w/ TWRP, but yes... you can use Flashify again to re-flash recovery.
Okay, i thought it will only reset the CM - specific settings and not the LG ones.
Can i use "OTA"-CM Updates? As i am using the Nighties and there is an Update everyday - or should i just update once a week?
Could there be a problem with my "broken CR?
As you have said I can use Flashify for flash TWRP again, can i use the normal files which are made for stock, or do i have any special CM ones?
Thanks.
Hello,
I had a one plus 3 running stock OS then i installed on TWRP and rooted it and installed CM14.1 Night and it was working normally then I did an OTA update for CM 14.1 then i clicked installed then the phone wouldnt boot into the OS. then I kept trying to make it boot into the OS and wouldn't then I wiped everything i think like it said no os in the phone, I reflashed twrp and i tried flash CM14.1 and it didn't work via twrp I tried adb push and it didn't work I tried adb sideload and it didn't work, I put the zip file of the phone manually because i can see it on my pc but that also didn't work
I even tried using the STOCK rom and it didn't work
I even had a back that I did with TWRP and did a restore and it also didn't work
can anyone help me ?
most likely the file you downloaded is corrupted... try redownloading the file
Flash twrp 23 or earlier and then try to flash latest cm14.1. If it doesnt work flash stock recovery and sideload some stock oos.

I've been using the Fire HD 8.9 (Jem) with CM (a 2015 version of CM 12.1) with TWRP 2.7.0 without much of a problem. Yesterday, I flashed the latest CM12.1 nightly (20161216 version) using the same TWRP successfully. After the initial loading, I tried to factory reset the tablet. Once the pad restarted, it goes into the TWRP startup screen, and doesn't load the touch interface. The startup screen will flash every 5 seconds or so. I can't go back to normal boot either. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Have you fixed this yet?
If not, I'm not certain, but could be a mismatch between your older TWRP version and the most recent CM12.1 nightly. Can you actually use TWRP? Did you make a backup prior to installing the newest CM version (always imperative to do)? If so and TWRP works, simply wipe everything and reinstall your backup. Then first update TWRP (I'm using v 3.0.0) by multiple methods and try again. Does you computer still see your Kindle? If so, download a newer version of TWRP to your computer, transfer it to the Downloads folder of your "SD Card" on internal storage, and flash from there using TWRP. Try to keep plugged in so that battery stays in good shape.
If you can't use TWRP, you'll have use Fastboot to flash a newer TWRP version from your computer. Look for instructions on how to setup and then use Fastboot if you've never used this before. Some drivers that your computer may or may not have will be required. Good luck!

I had the exact same problem but I got into fastboot mode by using this adb command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
have you tried this yet?
... with respects to recovery and flashing. Just picked up this one about 2 hours ago. I used the unified tool kit, am rooted and running RR... But I can only boot into CM recovery. Any attempts to flash (using toolkit to boot to TWRP) SuperSU, or ARISE, or whatever, don't do anything.
What's the trick
Well usually you got to flash the rom, flash twrp. Then reboot back to twrp, for flashing extra packages. Usually after ROM + TWRP, I like booting into OS and setting things up and then going to twrp to flash root.
But your problem is very simple to solve. Just flash twrp recovery from bootloader using "fastboot boot ' twrp image name ' ". Then reflash the rom and twrp. Then boot into the os. Then go back into twrp to root and flash arise sounds or what not. I am running RR with no issues and arise sounds is working no issues.
Thank you. I'm booting into TWRP now just fine, but flashing SuperSU and ARISE don't work,.. Or at least, the apps don't show up as they should
edit: update
used the supersu SR3 version and now everything is normal
cheers
I wiped the phone clean and tried to flash the new version of AEX But, it showed Error 7.
Tried looking for fix for Error 7 on internet, it didn't work for AEX5.6, 5.5, 5.4.
5.3 installs normally.
But felt like needed something new.
Went on the forums to find Xtended ROM. Flashed it.
After flashing it tried flashing Nano GAPPS.. Didn't work.
Tried to system reboot and thought I can later work it out.
ROM is all fine... But, later when I got to recovery mode.
(Problem begins)
I realised I lost TWRP.
And the recovery that's there wouldn't allow me to flash anything.
It looks more like CWM recovery but with less options.
It doesn't even have a advanced wipe!
Now I'm stuck with a non rooted phone, without Google bare minimum functionalities.
Am I alone? Help me out!

For aex issue did you flash factory2vendor zip before flashing rom?
You will have to install twrp image using PC. Like the first time you did when you were unlocking bootloader
Flash zui using qfil or miflash.
If bootloader is unlocked still. You can directly flash twrp.
If not first unlock your bootloader and then flash twrp.
For treble rom like aex5.5 you need to flash factory2vendor.zip and then flash twrp with treble support.
For info on flashing and link visit aex5.5 rom page.
