Is there a recommended DNS Changer APK for the firetv.? I wanted to change to a custom DNS to play the bbc player and then revert back? Any suggestions for the apk?

Thanks for the reply. I tried to change the dns on my router to the US dns servers but the bbc app didn't work.
Any idea what does it take? Is it required to get a paid dns account like iconotv?

I tested UNOTelly and it worked well, however the bbc app was on constant buffer. I couldn't find the live feed and honestly the app was not very impressive. At the moment, I don't see a need to spend a monthly fee for bypassing. Are there other apps that may be useful being in the US?

I have also tried unotelly with no issues. That way you can switch regions without switching dns servers

[Q] Is there any way to Crack Amazons appstore ?

I live in Brasil, and my 1-click settings at the amazon.com site is using a Brasilian international credit card, so as my brasilian address.
Since i am using my real information, i can't manage to use the Amazons app store at my Kindle fire and on my Xperia Arc.
I've already tried the whole thing if creating a new account, with fake data fetched from fakenamegenerator.com but it does not worked aswell.
Is there any way i can "crack" my appstore app so that it does not check for amazon.com feedback about my account country, or is this impossible ?
I really want to start using the app store from Brasil, let me know if there is anything i can do.
Thanks !

Why don't you try Google Play Store? That way it's easy to manage your apps in both devices.

I do use the play store but:
1. Not all the apps are tagged as compatible to my Kindle fire, forcing me to download the APK from the market and push it into the kindle manually
2. Amazon appstore have some free apps daily or weekly, which the play store does not have.
Are you rooted?
I know you can modify your build.prop to mask as another device to improve app compatibility. I've read that most apps that are said to be incompatible are not.

Yes i am rooted, and changing the build.prop file properties, sometimes help, sometimes dont.
But this is not the thread's question.
I would like to access the amazon app store, from Brasil.
1. Yes, i've tried proxies
2. Yes, i've tried fakenamegenerator.com
Edit: This is a new method, but it also failed to work for me :
http://spimitech.com/guides/access-amazon-apps-market-from-outside-the-us/
I've set the new card, billing adress using a hotel on international drive, and set the new payment method as 1-click.
App still saying that i don't have a US billing Address or Credit Card
None of those worked for me

[Q] Controlling Hulu

I just side-loaded the newest Hulu Plus APK to my ATV. It was downloaded from Google Play.
It starts, but it can't be controlled with the fire tv remote control. Using a USB keyboard is okay, but it's annoying.
So, is there a difference between the Hulu Plus versions released on Google Play and via Amazon app store?
If yes, can someone please make an APK of the Amazon app store version and upload it here?
I am from Germany, as Hulu is not officially supported here I am not able to download it from Amazon by myself.
Thanks in advance!
No one here with a rooted AFTV who can drop me a backup APK of the Hulu Plus app? Would be really appreciated!

Just follow this guide to get access to all the Amazon apps... http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-install-geographically-restricted-apps-from-amazon/
I have found that best way to control all the sideloaded streaming apps which I've installed is a mouse & the FireTV Remote. I use the Mouse to point & click what I want to stream within the apps & the only way to go back within the streaming apps is the back button on the FireTV Remote. Although it can be a pain to input a long complicated passwords without a keyboard. It's not as important as a mouse for streaming apps.. And you can probably use the AFTV Remote app's phone keyboard to help with that.
The link to install FireTV's Hulu Plus is already in the FTV. Just need to mod your account temporarily to be able to install it.
Thanks, but the guide doesn't seem to work anymore. I think Amazon has changed something. I can change my account to Amazon US, I can see the App in the store (when I am connected via VPN) but when I select buy, it just says that I am geo-blocked
I hate those damn geo-restrictions. Google Play isn't that hard to overcome the restrictions, but with Amazon I found no way yet, grmbl.

Odd... Last week I was able to get some BBC UK apps just fine. I did not change to a UK IP either.. Just used the one I use here. Try changing the VPN's IP address or don't use the VPN at all.. Or try just using a trial of a DNS service. Will try to get you the Hulu APK... But I wold not give it in trying to get the guide to work. Change the US Name & Address again..
Thanks for the suggestions, but nothing works.
I now tried nearly every possible combination. With and without VPN (without, it won't show me the Hulu app). I even put some money on my Amazon account via gift-card. This way I could sort out that it's no problem with my german credit card, even if the the app is free.
But no luck at all.. So, I'd be really nice if someone could just send me the app so I can sideload it. Unfortunately, I don't know no other way

Here you go... Let me know how it goes..
Thank you, sir! Awesome!
After installing it, it gives me an error that my user account hasn't bought this app
Why, oh, why is Amazon so restrictive?? Grmbl.. But it was worth a try.
For the time being I think I have stick to the Android app from the Play store and use an USB-Mouse. Not very convenient, but at least it works..

Try doing the change to US Amazon & then try installing the APK I uploaded see if that helps.. Also what Country/Language have you had it setup under.. Change it to US too just to try it out.. Also make sure you have enable the installation from Unknown Sources in Settings/System/Developers .
Changing back to US account and re-installing the app did not help, but I finally got it to work. Was a long way..
First, I connected to US VPN and created a new Amazon account at amazon.com. I then logged of my german account on my AFTV and logged in via the newly created account.
I bought the Hulu app then and installed it on the AFTV. I was then able to start it up and login. Afterwards, I logged the US amazon acc off and logged in once again with my "normal" german account.. And voila, it works.
Conclusion: It seems the app stores something in the data installed on the AFTV rather than on your amazon account. Interesting to know, maybe it helps others, too.

This question has been asked before but I will answer your question anyway, next time try Google, YouTube or the search bar on Xda before posting though oks.
Not via an app (apk) you cannot, but there is a few vpn add ons In kodi (Google vpn kodi add ons) which if you have a vaild vpn account you can add/sign in to it & use it that way. Not sure if this is what your looking for but at the moment that's the only way I know of using a vpn app (apk)?
Only other way I know which works is to mirror/cast your phone to your fire stick, use a vpn app (apk) on there, turn it on & then open the kodi app (apk) up on your phone (not fire stick) & watch it being mirrored/casted to your tv. A bit of a long winded solution but if your that desperate to access American addons/content on your tv it does work this way, I just pick another addon but each to there own.
If this helped you press that thanks button

I disagree as I installed the Private Internet Access APK and am able to connect to all of their various VPN servers without any issue.

That's good to know mate, was that on the Fire Tv 2? Just wanted to know cause I will add it to my compatible sideloaded apps & accessories thread for the AFTV2.

I agree, users here can and should load alternative firmware like tomato & dd-wrt to setup a VPN connection that all devices on your home network can utilize.

Spoofing apps

Hi! First time posting here. My network is VOXI, they allow unlimited social media usage. They allow Facebook and messenger etc. They don't support Reddit however, meaning if I use Reddit, it'll come out of my data allowance. Is there anyway to spoof it to make VOXI think I'm using Facebook or Twitter but instead I'm actually using Reddit? Btw, I can't root. No root methods and ADB please and thank you! Also lmk if I'm posting in the wrong area
Highly unlikely, The only way to hide is to use VPN and I'm sure at that point they don't even see FB usage so it all comes out of your allowance. My guess is you'd need a custom DNS server that resolved facebook.com to reddit.com ip address and that's a lot to setup just to do what you are trying to do and still might not work.

No need to root for that, you just pick the DNS you like and enter its host name into settings under "Private DNS" and you're all set.

What is twitter DNS? After I enter it, would it work?
No that's not how it works. You would need someone to set up a public dns server just to route request from facebook.com to reddit.com. short answer... not gonna happen

That's right, I meant: pick from any already existing domain addresses - you can't just make one from a thin air.

[APK Request] Paramount+ Peak Streaming **US version**

Hi,
Being localized in Italy my Amazon app store only downloads italian version while I need the version downloaded by US devices localized in USA to use US accounts.
Not sure if they are different but the italian version I can download doesn't work with US accounts.
Thanks.
You might just be able to change your region for your Amazon account to the US on the website, to access US content.
This is the latest US Paramount+ app

Thanks a lot.
I haven't changed the region in the account cause I only want this specific app to *appears* located in US. I already had this version. It's the Android TV version and is different from the one I can download from the italian Store (which has 12.0.28 as version). I hoped it was different cause I'm having a huge issue with this one: When I watch live content (Serie A italian matches) using the second audio track (italian commentary) the audio is hugely desynced and I hoped it was an app issue but I guess it's a official service issue. I'll retry next sunday to see if the issue persists.
BTW thanks a lot again.
No problem, yeah I've noticed a lot of apps get to the Google Play store a few days (or week+), before the Amazon App Store.
I just pulled that version 12.0.27 from the Amazon App Store today.
Usually you'll need a VPN to use an American account, my Paramount+ app ask for an American credential as soon as I turn on the VPN, so probably is the same app with some kind of geo restriction. I´m in Brazil by the way... And to watch Brazil's soccer A series i use a VPN in conjunction with Star+.
Paramount+ 12.0.32
Paramount+ 12.0.33
Paramount+ 12.0.34
Hello, 12.0.34 version doesn't work anymore. Does anyone can tell me where to download 12.0.44 version?
Thanks
