Hey guys,
I dont know much about ROM compiling.
I was just wondering what you would need to compile android lollipop 5.0 for our tabs? As in device specific things.
Is there anything that isnt available that is needed to compile pure android 5.0 from source?
Thanks
+1
I would like to use a Galaxy Tab / Note Pro 12.2 as well, running pure AOSP or at least a "Google Play" edition.
Does anyone know how to extract the binary blobs (hardware drivers) from the stock Samsung image for this device?
That would be a good start for building up an aosp rom.

Galaxy tab 3 will never get a update to 5.0 official maybe you will see it in a unofficial way like CM 12 or so.
I am glad I never bought my tab3 7 as it came with my mobile, the limitations it has compared to my S4 are huge.

Why do you want the rom from the SM-T330 on the SM-T310? They use different SOC's (SM-T310 uses Samsung's Exynos chipset while the SM-T330 uses a Qualcomm chipset). So the sources are not really compatible.
Furthermore, they use different graphics chips. So, while you *might* technically be able to run the SM-T330 ROM on the SM-T310, it probably isn't worth it.
Especially since some people already have an unofficial build of Cyanogenmod 12.1 for it (Android 5.1). Why don't you get involved with them instead?
Look over their repositories and their commit history to understand what they did and why they did it (assuming good commit logs).

Am already running cm 12.1 ROM but am not able to get touchwiz interface and launcher ........ That's the only problem I have
Hello.
I was wondering if there are any ROMs for the T113? I would like to have Lollipop on it.
Thanks,
Shane
my search came up emtpy handed... i hope there will be one soon... i dont like all the samsung overlay and i already have twrp...
I have a galaxy tab 3 8.0 and i would like to find a lollipop rom that is touchwiz style (to look like newer phones e.g. s5,s6). However i can't find anyting like it. I am new to all rooting and custom rom stuff. Would it be possible to flash a lollipop rom and then port lollipop version of touch wiz?
I am trying to make a custom rom Android 9.0 (Pie). Maybe in about two weeks. I'll let you know when it's finished. Uh... it's from 2016.
Hi
Is there any rom for P5210 that is Android Nougat?
If not, is there a chance that someone relase it? Do this device hamdle Android Nougat? I have installed CM13 on my P5210 and it work good.
To answer your question, there is currently no Nougat (and more specifically CM/LOS) ROM right. But the guy who made CM 12.1 and 13 is working on porting CM 14/LOS to the Galaxy Tab 3.
There have been many cases of newer versions of Android being ported from a device that can run it. For example, Android 8 has been ported to the Galaxy S6 from the A8, and Android 6 has been ported to the Galaxy Note 3 from the Note 7. In both of these examples, the ROMs have been a port of the Samsung firmware with all the UI but modified to work on the phone.
However, on the Galaxy S5, the only port ROMs I've seen are Marshmallow, even S8-based TouchWiz ROMs are still based on Marshmallow. Marshmallow is still a relatively new version, but there will come a time where eventually support will die out just like KitKat and soon Lollipop.
The question I am asking is whether it is possible to port a Samsung firmware of a newer Android version to the Galaxy S5. If so, what steps would need to be taken? If not, why?
