Last Firmware for LG G2 LS980 ? (at the moment)
I propose here to leave a record of the new firmware for the LG G2 LS980.
(And of course I'm interested in what is the newest firmware for the moment 17/11/2014?)
ZVE is the latest build/version of the stock LG G2 firmware as of November 17 2014, as I understand it. It was released as an OTA update originally, and I'm not absolutely certain there is a full blown ZVE available.

First you should try LG's own software, LG PC Suite, that's how I updated my G3 from KitKat to official stock LG Lollipop, by that time I had no OTA. If this method doesn't get you to 5.0 or you have possible problems, then you should upgrade it with LG Flash Tool 2014. Follow this guide right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
You can upgrade straight to the KDZ-Firmware you want, in this case V20e, you don't have to first flash the same KK from Global to EUR etc. Just make sure after flashing-upgrading to Lollipop you do a factory reset for a smooth experience.
The last one I had was the F400K20F. Are there any new official stock firmware after this?
Hello,
I have an unlocked LG G3 bought from Amazon UK.
It is currently on Android 5.0 and I was waiting long for 5.1 or 5.1.1 but it seems it won't be updated soon automatically.
Can I manually update to 5.1 or 5.1.1? Does anybody know where should I download the official firmware?
I know the website for all Samsung firmware but not sure of the LG one.
Software version of my G3 is V20i-EUR-XX.
Thanks.
As soon as 5.1(5.1.1) or newer version is available(at all for the g3) you can download it either from your carrier or when the OPEN ones receive it. Currently the g3 doesn't have 5.1(5.1.1) or newer available at all.

Ah all right, I thought there is 5.1 for G3 but my specific version did not get it yet.
Thanks.
I dont think G3 will get 5.1.1 id say we will wait a very long time and they will go straight to 6.0 after the G4 gets its update.
Is there any known good method for rooting an LG G3 F400K running 6.0 ?
Reason I ask is that I have tried a few, none seem to work? Updates to most of them were around 2 years ago?
If you are on v30n firmware is impossible to root, for moment, and you need to revert to an older version on firmware , if lg flash tool don't work, give a try to lg up
F400K30i
Thanks for the reply. I'm on F400K30i.
Do you know which versions can be rooted? (obviously not 30n)
any update that how to root lg g3 MM v 30i..?

Use the Dev Patched LGUP from any of my Pie KDZ threads. Read the Installation instructions, and uninstall any previous LGUP versions.
For instance, see bottom of post #2 in the India H930DS Pie KDZ thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79971628&postcount=2
or bottom of post #1 in the EU H930 Pie KDZ thread:

Updated my h930ds from 30b to 30s, with LgUP from ChazzMatt´s previous post (adding dll to common folder) and running Lgupu.exe... No trouble at all.
We´ll see the improvements....

Thanks @ChazzMatt and everyone. I did everything I could without success. I have now returned to Android 8.x Oreo (H93022j_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0403)
LG have still not released the Pie update for Middle East variant (AME). If I upgrade using this method what will be the implications?
1) Will I be able to receive future OTA upgrades?
2) Will I be able to switch to any future Pie updates for AME region?
3) If I revert back to stock Oreo version currently installed (V20f) will I get the ability to OTA upgrade back or will it be lost forever?

What firmware do you plan to upgrade to? EU H930 31a or some other H930 variant firmware?
Answers to your questions:
1) No, but for the other variant future KDZ releases, you can use Dev Patched LGUP in "Upgrade" mode. It's like a manual OTA. You don't lose data. It's only the first time you have to use Refurbish or Partition DL and you factory reset your phone.
2) Yes. You can always use Dev Patched LGUP to Refurbish or Partition DL back to AME firmware.
3) Probably you will be able to get AME OTA updates again (if you flash back to that firmware), since your IMEI matches what the AME firmware updates. Same thing if you Refurbished over to AME Pie KDZ if it's ever released.
