I came from Cleanrom 3.7 to the stock lollipop ROM from scrosler.
Made a backup with titanium backup (both beta and the last updated version in play, both tested and the same).
After installing lollipop I want to put the backup back, but only 4 or 5 apps are visible in Titanium and not all 51.
The last option in Titanium is deleting the backups/apps, here I can see all the apps, but under restoring there is no option to choose all apps.
How is this possible, am I missing something in Cleanrom of lollipop? Rom related or titanium?
Can I make a backup with another app also? Must have the saved data, so I went back to Cleanrom for now.
In lollipop I've deleted the cache of the programm already, no succes...
Use 'backup + alpha' (needs busybox) or 'Parcel backup restore' (only app data working).

Ok when I flash a new ROM and want to do so with a clean slate/wipe, I have titanium backup to back up all my apps, but I'm still kinda unsure of the full procedure as obvious as it may seem... When I did my first wipe, I had to go back and redo all of my information for everything on the phone. Is this typical? What I mean by that is I had to input all my google account info, set up my home screens, set up my facebook app...and turn off all of my sync's...
if you don't wipe, do you have to do all of that? Does a titanium backup on apps/system data allow you to not have to do this?
is this the proper step by step:
1.Titanium backup - apps/system data
2. Rom manager -download rom w/ wipe and back up
3. load rom
4. titanium restore - apps/system data?
Just apps or apps+user data. System data varies from ROM to ROM. Plus, you have no need of multiple copies of system data.

when i flashed to virtuous and did a wipe, i did a backup before of just apps and when i restored apps+user data, it really didn't do anything. I still had to change all the configurations for everything to not sync and to put in username/password...

was shaky on this as well....what is the difference between user and system data? Just would be a pain to lose all layouts and wifi passwords.
I've been doing apps+system data each time and havn't really had any major problems to speak of
my titanium backup doesnt have an option to back up apps+user data... just apps and apps+system data
My bad on an unclear response.. When restoring from TB, it's apps+ user data. You do not want to restore system apps from a different rom. In the scheduling section of TB, There are different configurations you can choose.

any way to keep home screens and such in place?
Should be the restore desktop htc sense in TB/Restore missing apps+ all system data. That's the only 1 you should pull from there for this.

I just did a restore myself with user apps+data and it had me click 'install' for every app, pain in the ass, anyway to click and go?
Thanks

Get the paid version.
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I have a quesition about TB Pro. Today I flashed the CM6 ROM onto my DINC. When I reinstalled the TB Pro app onto the phone from my appmonster folder on the SD Card and opened it up to restore my apps in batch mode, TB Pro would FC whether I was trying to restore apps only, apps+data or even individual apps (not batch mode). Am I doing something wrong, am I misunderstanding how TB Pro is supposed to function, is there an incompatibility?
Try the problems button in titanium and clear its data in the application menu.

Have used titanium backup in the past but find that restorations can sometimes fail. Can anyone recommend an app solely for app backup and restoration which saves all saved game data as well ?
My bacup pro works perfect for me

Thanks. Will give that a try.
Use my backup root, its the free version of my backup pro.
I prefer it over titanium as it has never let me down.
Titanium and SMSbackup+

i use titanium backup pro you can restore after a wipe very easily all automatic of course you have to reconsider that you can't use files from froyo for gingerbread its natural i think
Probably obvious addition to thread - I use Titanium Backup Pro - remember to restore app AND data. I've never had any issues.
Titanium Pro of course! Never had any problems when restoring Userapps + data this way.
For me the main difference between free and pro is the option, that with free you have to enter every app and system data manually, whereas pro does this automatically. So if you do not flash roms very often, titanium backup free is sufficient.
When I tried "My backup root" it didn't re-install any paid apps.
When I used "Titanium PRO" I used the one bundled with the ROM I flashed, which wasn't current, and was different from the one I backed up with, and I had FCs. So make sure you always download the latest, even when it's bundled. Oh, and I had to reboot before the changes it made were applied.
There can be problems with reapplying system data from one ROM to another ROM, so in that case, just do the apps.
Alternatively, use appbrain to keep a list of apps
Tried both (Titanium and Mybackup). I prefer Titanium Pro since it had nevet let me down.
Once had a problem with Titanium not restoring some apps, but that was due to the lack of space on the phone.
Cheers

I use MBP which I find really good except that it does not backup Wireless Keys and Account info. Does Titanium do this?
Hi... Like everybody here, I love to try new roms, versions, etc... The problem is that everytime we full wipe our phone, we obviously lose everything.
I was looking for some tools to help me to backup/restore my apps (including swype, which seems impossible to backup) quickly. Titanium backup can't restore automatically... What about Rom toolbox pro? Worth it?
Thanks
There's always cwm which will backup whole ROM it includes apps and data, combined with titanium you can restore phone back to stock.
Cwm will not back up automatically.

I don't want to backup to stock or restore the rom... I just want to have my apps and data back quickly when I change my rom...
Titanium Backup up is simply the best. Also My Backup Root is worth trying.
Titanium is good but the noisy thing about it that you should press install for every app you restore.
if u tried Titanium Backup Pro you wouldn't ask expect for auto restore

hi
Can somebody tell me what's the best way to backup apps and settings when moving from one rom to another,
Thanks
Download Titanium Backup.
It depends. If you're coming from 4.1.2 ROM... and going to 4.3... Titanium Backup will have issues because they changed things on where/how files are stored in 4.3... but I think there is a fix for TB somewhere.
PS
Never backup system data if you're updating to a new ROM. It messes things up. Just use the Backup new user apps & newer versions.

There are two useful application which almost supports all custom ROMs.
1. ROM ToolBox Pro (Which might have special features including Accounts, Call Log, Contacts and so available with pro app)
2. My Backup Pro (It also have most of facilities but have comusion/requrement of externel app).
I would recommend Helium, because titanium Backup doesn't work properly from Rom to Rom.

Titanium back up works well. .. old versions ...need tb fix app from play store on kitkat
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
I used Titanium when I upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.3 and it all worked well. Use Titanium for all user apps and data. All system stuff will be automatically restored from Google Play (i.e. Contacts and Apps, Wifi access points) the only thing you need to backup extra is SMSes. You can do this from Titanium (export to XML).
So I did a full nandroid backup with TWRP
Then I flashed CloudyG3 V2.0 ROM
It started syncing all my google data(so all the apps that I had downloaded) but what it didnt do was sync the App data & settings
Now I want to know how I can restore the app data/settings from the nandroid backup that I made?
In the TWRP Manager menu it only allows me to select the full backup folder, which would entirely restore my phone to the previous rom but I don't want to do that lol
Thanks in advance!
You should have used titanium backup or similar to backup the apps dont believe there is a way to restore app data from nandroid. You could backup your current rom restore old rom then backup using tb and then restore the other rom and then restore settings with tb
