[Q] so many feature settings gone??? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Why does AT&T feel the need to get rid of so many settings for us? Ex: smart rotate, data toggle in notifications, flashlight, etc..... I don't get what the gain is for them? If anyone know how to get these back it'd be greatly appreciated!

Bar Control & access to hiden settings

Hey folks I downloaded an app off the Market called Bar Control. This app basically allows you to pin frequently used apps to your notification bar, in short its a multi tasker.
What's odd is that I thought I would merely have access to the apps in the app drawer but once I installed it & went to pin apps to my notification bar, it gave me a crap load of what I guess are system functions. I don't know what alot of them do as I'm not to savvy in regards to that area.
Some examples are:
APN's
Auto Answer Without Device
Auto Reject List
Battery Read
Camera Firmware Standard
CDMA Options
Cell Broadcast SMS
Check MSL
DATA
Device Administration Settings etc. etc
I point this out because maybe some of the info could be of use to someone or our more technically savvy members..
Maybe it's no big deal but I just wanted to point it out.

Best apps for quick data on/off button and data control?

Is there any way to have a simple on/off button for data service in the pull down bar?
Is there a way to limit what apps consume data? I'd like to to just be email and text messages, not, for example whether an app needs an upgrade. (Although I'm not sure how much data that uses)
Guys I'm new to having a not unlimited smart phone, so help me out please

You can look on play store or you can easily on/off with custom toggle & custom rom.
Setting / Data usage/ app / restrict background data or you have more set option at View app settings.

Locking Home replacement

So I am looking for an app to make one of my phones more like an IPhone. No, no really... well not exactly. I actually do want to take away much of the coolness of android and limit the options, much like a crappy Iphone.
I want to be able to lockdown a phone to certain apps. But not in a "kiddie" type of way. And I want to be able to include direct dial shortcuts. But I want to lock or effectively remove everything else that is not and "approved" app.
All the apps I have seen rely on a password that is on all the existing app. So all the options are still there, but have a password. I want to remove the outside options. And I think it has to be a home replacement in that it has to control the notification area too. All of the lock down apps also seem to not be able to stop the play updates and then you can get into the app from the "updated" notification.
So I want the screen to have like 10 direct dial number shortcuts, a few games and that is all with no way (without effort and knowledge) to get to all the other goodness that is android.
Why not lock (password-protect or whatever) Play Store and Disable auto-updates?

[Q] Brightness slider

I'm new to AT&T from T-Mobile and unlocked phones, so please bear with me.
So, the brightness slider in the pull down: per a Google search, I am supposed to have the option to uncheck it so that it won't be visible. I don't, and I'm assuming AT&T removed it. Is this correct?
Carrier label text in the status bar: assuming this can't be removed without root. Correct?
Those are the 2 most obnoxious things so far. Thanks guys!!
Edit: one more thing. I am using Smitten SMS and have delivery reports checked, but I'm not getting them. Does AT&T not support them?
No one knows??

without root, you can't remove those two.
The check beside the slider is to activate auto bright. Neither of these can be fixed without root.

I was referring to unchecking it in the notification panel settings. I saw a screenshot online where the international version has that option in that settings page. So it appears I was correct in assuming that AT&T removed it.

the option to hide the brightness slider is not available on the att/vzn/tmo versions, I can't speak to Sprint. I don't know if you saw a stock international feature, or just a root mod that just happened to be on an international model.
no, the awful carrier label is stuck there till root, I hate it as well. if you have even 1 notification up there tho it will go away. now that I type this it gives me the idea for a workaround; an invisible notification bar icon. that'll do the trick to get rid of that att label.
att does not support them. and actually, delivery reports don't have a standard protocol for reporting. carriers send out sms, but have nothing in place to see if it was received. tmobile can tell you if the recipient is another tmobile user, and iphones using imessage (are they even allowed to use anything else? idk) have a check built into the imessage app which will tell you if another iphone read it, but they can turn off this feature in their iphone settings so again.. this isn't truly reliable.
semi related note, give Textra a try, it's a better messenger app in my opinion.
lastly sorry it took so long for anyone to reply to you. k goodnight

Any good auto sync data toggle applications? Or options?

I had a auto sync data toggle in the notification toggle bar on my S7 Edge and Note 7 but don't have one for the Pixel. I know i can go to settings>applications>menu dots> toggle on/off, but that is a hassle when i forget it before heading to work. I use this option a lot so that i can get work emails, and scheduled appointments throughout the day. I would turn it off after work, unless i'm on call, i often forget to until i either notice my phone blowing up due to email notifications or see the toggle still active. Does anyone else use this option as often as i do? Is there a good app i could get that will allow me to quickly toggle this option on/off without going through a bunch of different settings/option windows? I found a couple, but they have ads everywhere which is annoying for only using it for one task. Thanks.
Found an app called QuickTile which does exactly what i needed. Took me a little bit to figure out how to make it right but it works great. A great app if anyone else is interested. I also get a promo code to get the pro version from the developer ascsa.

Thank you ascsa
