The Perfect Backup - where are we now?

Since Froyo, a more comprehensive backup was announced (http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/data/backup.html). But I'm still not seeing ALL my settings and app data backed up.
I say this after doing a factory reset on my stock Desire because the contacts sync stopped working (I think it was a phone problem not Google problem). I have backed up in a number of places but the main one I use is MyBackup Pro.
For as good as it is, when it's finished, I still have to go through and put in my settings. Some widgets need to be re-setup. Some settings in the menu need to be re-setup. Signatures in my Google email boxes need to be redone. Ringtones (stock ones) need to be redone. Wallpaper. Etc.
Where are we with the perfect backup? I.e. backup my phone STATE. 1 backup so that should you reset your phone, it goes back perfectly. Obviously if you change phone to another model, you'll have to tweak a few things. But I thought backing up the phone state was possible after flicking through the link above.
So what's going on? Why do we not have the perfect backup yet?

You could root your phone using unrevoked 3.2 and install a custom recovery. This will allow you to make a complete image of your phone.

I don't think the froyo backup feature is available in sense roms. This is a question of HTC including it I.

The issue here is that this is not a complete backup solution in an of itself, but an API that allows developers to add this functionality into their applications.
Since this is API level 8 (Froyo), and since most devices still don't have Froyo, it's not too surprising that few applications have been updated to take advantage of this facility.

[Q] Stop Application Auto Install When Flashing New ROM

Hi everyone
For the last few ROM's I have installed I have always had the "pleasure" of seeing all the bloatware that I had downloaded on the last ROM instantly come back onto this, rendering the new flash basically useless.
I know of the thing where you have to uncheck that box when you sign into Google, but it no longer works. All apps come back as usual.
Is there a way of somehow deleting Googles record of the apps I have installed? Or some other workaround?

Flash an aosp rom, install at least an app, than reflash the rom you favour. I don't know any other way, sorry.

IIRC titanium backup has an option to remove links from the market. If you long press on the offending app and select "Disconnect from Market".

I found that market apps only download automatically if you sign into your google account on the first boot before you can use the phone, like when you choose your wifi, service provider, language etc. If you just skip the google account login part here, and login later, such as when you first open the market, the apps won't download automatically (although your gmail and contacts will then start to sync). Not sure if it's just me, but this seems to be the case for me everytime.

android.process.acore FC When Trying to Add a New Contact

Today I tred to add a contact to my phone. Each time I would tap the plus button to add the contact it would error and FC the phone application. I decided to do a factory reset real quick, opened the phone and added my friend's contact info before I had restored my Titanium backup. It worked fine.
Once I restored the backup of the phone, I went into the phone application and tried adding a contact again and it was again FCing. What I need to know is what file that has to do with my contacts I need to not reinstall? A phone isn't a phone if you can't add new contacts.
T-Mobile SGS2 running BeastMOD V1.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, it was the ICS Google+ application causing the problem. One I uninstalled it I was able to add contacts again. Sorry to waste a thread.

you can install the proper version from Android Market, that one works fine
only the ICS version causes that bug

[Q] Titanium Backup + Google user accounts

Is it possible to have titanium backup save your Google user account and password for the phone setup part after flashing a new ROM? 'Accounts' didn't seem to work.
I have a long random password for two google accounts and it would be easier if I didn't have to look them up each time I flash a new ROM.

i bought titanium backup pro with an Google account, but now i want use an phone without Google registration. How can i use TB pro with the bought TB registration datas ?

Android P DP2: my bugs and questions

Grats me with switching from iPhone x to Google pixel 2 XL
Right after that I've installed Android P and then start to use phone.
Info: My pixel is not Verizon model, without any root and I'm afraid to lose all my data (2 days of work with password etc).
Bug's:
1) xiaomi ip web camera and other doesn't work normally. Problems with connections and speed. Especially on wifi - "The network is busy, please try again later(30102005) "
Tried: restart, battery opt. Off, change wifi 2,4 / 5, use simmilar apps for ip cameras. On the iPhone everything is ok in all apps with all the cameras.
2) can't create 3rd Google account: after pattern check, phone sending me to the previous page. Nothing helps.
Tried: change protection, restart, different apps to add Google account, search through settings, kick two authentication.
Maybe someone knows how to fix it...
And a few questions:
1) is there any sense to make root on DP2? ( I mean few weeks before DP3 or special features for new user as me)
2) how can I backup everything? Best soft tool (no root or mods right now).
Tried to search and there was no exact answer like "This app will be the best and will backup all your data".
3) Is there any chance to resolve my problems without a wipe and how?
If some of the questions was already pls leave a link (tried to search)

Update: Just received app updates. Everything is working fine now.

I am using Magisk on DP2. There's TONS of posts about how to get it up and running.
After you root, you can use Titanium Backup to backup all cache and data of user/system apps.
If your bootloader is unlocked, you won't have to wipe anything. If it is locked, you will have to unlock it to root, and that will wipe all data. Google is pretty good at backing up all your downloaded apps (but without data) so you might want to look into that.

Thanks! Do you have any issues with adding more than 2 Google accounts? Still the same thing. Double checking password and then back to the previous page

No issues. I have 4 Google accounts but I only sync Gmail and Drive on the other 3.

Answer was hiding in the developer option menu.
Settings - System - Developer options - Don't keep activities.
So each time when I switching between apps they reload. It's because every app crashes as soon as I'm leaving it.
The same situation is with adding Google account. Each time phone opens another window previous crashes
When you activate Dev Options - check everything there
