[Q]Htc one m8 resets flashed things... - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, i got a problem..
If i install/flash something on my m8 like the NextAppSDFix or busybox, my One M8 resets it after i reboot...
The same happened to me with the xposed framework, i had to install it manually... Then it finally worked... But it doesnt work with busybox or the nextgen sd fix or changing bootanimations....
Someone knows that problem and can help me out? Because flashing doesn't makes fun when it does reset after every reboot... Need help!

[Q] HELP

How can i s-off my one x becuse my one x restarted every minutes ? i need help pls thanks
Yes, I think you do need help
If your phone keeps restarting, you need to work put why.
Have you tried restoring to factory settings? What software version are you running?
If that doesn't work, flash the RUU.
Anyway, you can't S-Off the phone, what do you hope to achieve with that?
Flash correct boot.img from the ROM, if u have rooted phone.

[Q] Constantly Reboots

I just got this phone yesterday. I rooted with HTCDev and then I got S-Off with firewater and SuperCID. Ever since I installed Android Revolution 8.1 it reboots constantly. I have wiped cache, did a fresh install even tried to flash CM, but the reboots are still there. I am on 2.xxx.xxx framework and have TWRP recovery. Any help? I think it might be related to memory leaks, but I am not entirely sure.
Did you do a full wipe before install.

I always do. No matter the rom I am flashing or where I'm coming from. My OCD doesn't handle dirty flashing at all.
Have you tried to flash img file from your Rom via adb. Did you make a backup ?

Are you on Verizon ? I don't know much about HTC One M8 variants but it seems some complication there. Maybe a restore to Verizon ROM/firmware can help you.
Anyway .. here is the Verizon thread if needed : http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8
You mentioned that you installed ARHD 8.1 ROM ... which firmware that you installed ? I know you are not a noob but sometimes people confuse the different of a firmware and a ROM

I'm not entirely sure. I will keep this thread updated, if I have anymore random reboots. I figured just doing a clean install would be a good start to resolve the problem; it always is.
Just had my first reboot. I think it might be due to greenify. Does anyone have experience with this app and the HTC One M8
Greenify wont cause reboots. Are you running a custom kernel and undervolting by any chance?

Try to downgrade your firmware to 1.54.x.x...or if you stick with 2.x.x.x try ARHD 9.1 to see if it makes any difference

[Q] GPE 4.4.4 flash problem

Hey guys I flashed the GPE HTC One M8 4.4.4 ROM as listed in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706441&page=6
Before this I had CM11 M10 - I did the usual factory reset and so on / wiped data etc and then flashed the ROM via TWRP recovery. Problem is just after the Google animated logo when I get to the setup screen the device powers off and reboots after about 15 seconds. I've tried flashing twice.
Anyone any thoughts on this? I have the international GSM HTC One M8 so my device should be compatible?
Thanks,
Fintan
I usually get this if my SuperSu need to update. Try flashing updated SuperSu

busybox causing bootloop

hi i tried installing busybox app than when run the install within it causes my phone to restart now my phone keep restarting every 1 or 2 min plz tell me what to do.
my device is htc desire 816 dual sim indian version
This was a known issue with the late December BusyBox release. When it happened to me, I had to restore from a nandroid backup. If you search the forum for the official BusyBox release and bug threads you might be ale to find a less extreme fix

Uninstall busybox then use busybox on rails with the recovery option or just flash this zip by miniwhooper after uninstalling
